I checked the rankings and decided to visit this place. It is located near Ginza Hermes, which is a good location. I went during the gap between movies, around 7 pm, and despite it being before 7 pm, there were quite a few customers inside, making me feel like it's a popular place. About half of the customers were foreigners. Is it because of the rankings? Maybe it's in a guidebook? Inside the counter, there were many staff members, but most seemed to be trainees, with only 1 or 2 people actually making the drinks. It was a hot day, so I asked for a refreshing drink with bergamot, and they made it for me. I wish the atmosphere of the place was a bit more calm. Thank you for the meal.

Upon arrival, I had about an hour to spare before dinner. Across from the restaurant was the famous bar "Mimizuka," but I decided to visit the restaurant that was recommended by a friend in Osaka. The chief bartender, Kari Kurakami, has a proven track record as the winner of the Diageo 2014 Japan Final. He was also ranked 27th in the Asia's Best Bars 2021 Top 50. Despite the stormy weather, I entered the restaurant at 17:50 without a reservation. There was only one other customer present, which was a stroke of luck. The entrance looked like a warehouse door, but the interior was gorgeously decorated, reminiscent of Ginza. The staff consisted of two Japanese bartenders, one American bartender, one Chinese server, and one Japanese assistant server, creating a multinational team to cater to international guests. I ordered a Havana Martini and a Manhattan, both of which were expertly prepared by Kari Kurakami. The smoothness of his technique was truly impressive. I couldn't help but admire the Manhattan from afar as well. The total bill was less than 5,000 yen, which I found to be reasonable for a bar in Ginza. Once the pandemic subsides, I believe they will thrive with an influx of international customers, so they may have a strategic advantage.

I heard that there is a bar in Ginza that stays open until morning, even during the period when restaurants close at 8:00 pm due to the state of emergency, so I decided to check it out! The bar, located on the basement floor of a small building, had a cozy and charming atmosphere. Since I had just eaten tempura earlier that day, I opted for a non-alcoholic drink. I ordered a seasonal fruit cocktail and was pleasantly surprised when a fresh strawberry cocktail arrived! It was so delicious that I couldn't help but gulp it down. I also tried a kiwi cocktail, which was equally tasty as it was made with plenty of kiwi. Although I'm not very knowledgeable about alcohol, seeing the variety of drinks lined up at the counter made me want to try different types of alcohol. It's rare to find a bar open past 8:00 pm in Ginza, so I recommend checking this place out! #Barhighfive @Ginza ◾️Type: Bar ◾️Price: ¥6,000-¥7,000 ◾️Closed: Sundays, Holidays ◾️Food Blog: 3.19

Finish your work diligently and quickly, and when the closing chime rings, dash to Ginza. At this famous bar that has even ranked 13th in the world, of course you want to have 2 or 3 drinks. It used to be crowded with inbound customers before the pandemic, but now it's mainly domestic customers. I was able to enter easily. I ordered a Jack Rose Soda, a Brandy Sour with egg white, and a Rum. When I ordered the Brandy Sour, they asked if I wanted it with egg white. I had never heard of a Brandy Sour with egg white before, so I decided to try it. It was served with a frothy foam on top, slightly cloudy, and the taste was quite delicious. The price is typical for a bar in Ginza. It's not cheap, but considering the location, size of the establishment, and number of staff, it's understandable. If you're looking for more than just a place to drink, now is a good time to visit as there is more time for interaction and communication due to the current situation. The bar has a wide appeal and is more public than intimate, making it a good choice for various types of customers.

Tonight, I went to a stylish bar. The majority of customers were from overseas, and this place, which is usually crowded, was relatively empty due to the impact of the coronavirus. It must be tough for businesses that rely on inbound customers. On this day, I had a cocktail made with muscat grapes and peaches to match the season (and also pineapple). The muscat grape was refreshing and delicious☆

A wonderful bar that is popular with both foreigners and Japanese people! It is always crowded with people on weekends and weekdays alike. It's recommended to call ahead to confirm a seat before going. If you tell the bartender what kind of taste you like, they will make a cocktail to suit your preferences. I usually like dry drinks, but the pineapple-based sweet cocktails here are so delicious that it brings tears to my eyes. Although it's a bit pricey, it's worth treating yourself to a nice cocktail once in a while at this lovely and delicious bar.

They make cocktails using carefully selected vegetables and fruits. It is popular among colleagues after work, for a relaxing time alone, or even for a discreet date.

I happened to come across an article about the World's Top 50 Bars, and decided to visit one of the two selected bars in Japan. The bar is located on the basement 1F of a building right next to Ginza Sanbo and Bar Mimizuka. To access the underground bar, you have to use an elevator as the stairs are not available. The dimly lit interior has a classic bar atmosphere with a counter and a few tables. The owner seemed to be absent that day, and a female bartender was making drinks. There were also three male employees behind the counter, two of whom were foreigners. I tried various drinks like Gin and Tonic, Sidecar, and Highball, all of which were delicious. However, I didn't feel very comfortable due to the female bartender's demeanor, which was disappointing. I wish there was a more relaxing atmosphere, but if this is the style of the bar, then it can't be helped. There are plenty of bars in Ginza, so I will continue my search for a place that suits me better.

I saw a foreign employee getting scolded by the manager, but the green tea, white chocolate, and cream cocktail is recommended. It didn't feel good to witness that.

It is geared towards foreigners, for better or for worse. It doesn't give off a calming vibe.

Towards the end of August, two Japanese bars made it into the top 50 best bars in the world, with the highest-rated one being "HIGH FIVE." The atmosphere inside the bar is always bustling with foreign tourists who have come relying on information from the internet. The cocktails themselves were honestly not to my taste, but the service was very smart and made me feel like any foreign tourist could come and feel at ease. Thinking about it, it seems that the criteria for being selected in the world's top 50 best bars focuses more on having staff who are fluent in languages and excel in customer service, rather than just the taste of the cocktails or the selection of whiskies.
