Since many shops are closed for the Obon holiday, I decided to look for a lunch spot in Sennichimae. I chose "Wakasakeya" for its seafood bowl, as it was a new place for me. I opted for the daily special bowl [Negitoro + seared sea bream with salt + white meat flounder + flying fish roe] for 850 yen. It was a tough decision on what to choose since there were so many options, but I went with the daily special. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal. The extra rice service was a nice touch. The journey there was worth it, and I have no regrets.

The restaurant I was planning to go to was closed, so I spontaneously entered Wakasa-ya. It is a seafood bowl specialty shop located right next to Nankai Namba Station, so it is very convenient. They offer a wide variety of seafood bowls, and you can also adjust the amount of toppings on the bowl. You can even customize the toppings to your liking, giving you a feeling as if you were at a market in Kushiro, Hokkaido. The taste is delicious, and they offer two types of soy sauce: regular soy sauce and wasabi soy sauce. The wasabi soy sauce surprisingly lacks the taste of wasabi and feels a bit underwhelming.

A standout restaurant on Namba Nankai Street with a flashy exterior and around 50 menu items displayed on the storefront. However, they offer only 7 lunch options: - Budget Donburi for ¥460 - Negitoro, Salmon, and Flounder Donburi for ¥630 - Tuna and Grated Yam Donburi for ¥750 - Tuna and Bintoro Tartare-style Warm Egg Donburi for ¥750 - Mayo-tasty Donburi for ¥720 - Salmon Five Donburi for ¥800 - Recommended Four Kinds Donburi for ¥720 I chose the Salmon Five Donburi, a slightly luxurious lunch option at ¥880 including tax. The bowl arrived with miso soup and was as expected, a pale orange color. As the name suggests, it included 5 types of salmon: - Salmon - Grilled belly - Salmon sashimi - Salmon flakes - Salmon roe I drizzled some wasabi soy sauce and regular soy sauce over the bowl and started with the salmon sashimi. It had a refreshing salmon flavor. The salmon flakes next to it were rich and complemented the rice well. The salmon roe had a subtle flavor. The salmon was moist and the grilled belly was fragrant and hearty. Overall, the bowl was well-balanced and delicious, with a generous portion of rice. Even in the evening, I didn't feel hungry, thanks to the satisfying meal. The lower-priced options at ¥460 and ¥630 also seem to offer good value. The uni bowl priced around ¥2,000 seems like something I would only order when a bit tipsy. The compact restaurant seems cozy and inviting. Thank you for the meal.

The ikura, negitoro, and salmon bowl cost around 1000 yen. The ikura was too salty. The restaurant is very small and cramped, with no place to put your belongings at the counter seats. It's not very clean, and there are a lot of foreign tourists and families with children, making it feel chaotic. There seems to be another similar restaurant nearby. Maybe the ikura wasn't necessary. Overall, the seafood bowl with non-vinegared rice was just average.

Nankai Namba Station is a 3-minute walk away, and this seafood bowl restaurant is located on Namba Nankai Street. Looking at the photos displayed in front of the store, it seems like there are various types of seafood bowls available. The interior of the restaurant is not very spacious, with table seats and a counter. There were many people who seemed to be coming from work or foreign tourists. The photos of seafood bowls lined up inside the restaurant make it difficult to decide which one to choose. On the table, there were condiments such as soy sauce, wasabi soy sauce, and shichimi. I ordered the Uni, Negitoro, and Salmon bowl for 1170 yen. The service was fast. I added a lot of wasabi soy sauce and enjoyed it. It was a simple udon set for 190 yen, which you can order with a bowl to get a discount. The udon was very simple. Thank you for the meal! ☆

I had lunch on December 4th and wanted to add curry udon, but the line was quite long so I decided to change to a different restaurant. I found this place and noticed a big sign. I see restaurant names everywhere, so I decided to give it a try. I couldn't find a maguro bowl on its own, so I ordered a negitoro, maguro, and salmon bowl. It arrived quickly in about 5 minutes. Miso soup was not included, which was a bit disappointing. It costs 900 yen to add it, which doesn't seem like a good deal. The bowl was a bit small, so there were fewer slices of sashimi. The sashimi itself was okay, with the negitoro having the best flavor. It had a nice sweetness to it. I added wasabi soy sauce and enjoyed the meal. The maguro was fresh but a bit bland, while the salmon had decent flavor and freshness. The negitoro had the best taste. The rice was slightly cooled, making it easy to eat. Overall, it was a standard seafood bowl.
