I have always wanted to visit a famous Chinese restaurant in Obihiro. I couldn't decide what to order from the extensive menu, so I ended up ordering negi ramen, mapo tofu, fried rice, gyoza, black pepper stir-fried shrimp and scallops, and vinegar chicken. Everything was amazing, but the mapo tofu and negi ramen were exceptional.

I went to Meichinro for the first time in a while! I made a reservation for Sunday lunch, and we arrived promptly at 11:00. There were already many customers, and not just from Obihiro, but from other places too! The ordering system was through a touch panel where you could select what you wanted to eat. Here's what we ordered:
- Shrimp in chili sauce (S1190)
- Shrimp in mayonnaise sauce (S1190)
- Shredded pork with green peppers (S940)
- Fried rice "Hakusetsu" (1200)
- Mini xiaolongbao (2 pieces for 480)
- Spring rolls (2 pieces for 580)
- Yakisoba with five ingredients (920)
- Mapo tofu (1200)
- Mini Yukimi Daifuku (3 pieces for 480)
- Steamed shrimp dumplings (3 pieces for 480)
The dishes arrived quickly one after another, and I was especially impressed by the shrimp in mayonnaise sauce! Personally, I preferred it over the shrimp in chili sauce. The mapo tofu had a strong black pepper flavor, which might be a hit or miss depending on your preference. The spring rolls, xiaolongbao, and steamed shrimp dumplings all had distinct flavors and were delicious. The shredded pork with green peppers was a classic Chinese dish and did not disappoint. I've always loved the "Hakusetsu" fried rice at Meichinro, it's a must-try! The yakisoba was lightly seasoned and easy to eat. We finished off with mini Yukimi Daifuku for a refreshing end to the meal. The rotating table made it easy to share and enjoy a variety of flavors with a large group. Thank you for the meal!

I visited my hometown, Obihiro, after a long time and went to Bichinrou. I thought they would be doing a buffet now that the situation with COVID has calmed down. However, they were not offering it... They said there is no set date for resuming the buffet. There are some menu items that are only available during the buffet! I really want to eat them! Although the bright red vinegar chicken was back on the regular menu this time, it just didn't feel the same... I ended up ordering a lot like in a buffet, but the satisfaction was low. I also wanted to eat the fried rice with five ingredients that is not on the regular menu! Aren't they blaming everything on COVID too much? I imagine there was a lot of waste. Maybe taking a break from the buffet was more efficient. When I was a child, going to the buffet at Bichinrou was such a joy. It was a big event. I don't mind if they increase the price, please bring back the buffet! Even the nearby post office has changed its hours due to COVID, closing at 6 pm instead of 7 pm! Bichinrou, it's about time! Isn't it okay now!?

I visited the restaurant on Saturday before 1:30 pm. They told me to wait for about 20 minutes, and the last order would be at 2 pm. I hesitated but decided to wait. After waiting for about 10 minutes in the waiting room, I was called in. Phew, I was relieved. I don't know if someone canceled their reservation or left early, but I was hungry, so it worked out well. The menu had so many delicious options, but I ended up ordering the Chinese Chirashi for 1200 yen and the Century Egg (small, 4 pieces) for 620 yen. I love Century Eggs! They are probably in my top 5 favorite foods. The Century Eggs arrived first. They were so delicious when dipped in the special light soy sauce or vinegar. They were firm and tasty! By the time I finished the Century Eggs, the Chinese Chirashi arrived. It was quite different from the usual Chirashi I have at Shunkaro. The addition of enoki mushrooms was refreshing, and the whole shrimp gave it an authentic Chinese restaurant feel. The egg and seasoning were just right, with a hint of sweetness. At first, I thought the portion might be small, but the bowl was deep and quite filling. I left the restaurant feeling satisfied. Thank you for the delicious meal!

During a business trip, I had the opportunity to try the "Chinese Chirashi" for lunch, a popular dish in Obihiro along with pork bowl. Despite having parents from Obihiro, I had never tried it before. I decided to visit a long-established Chinese restaurant that was founded in 1967. When I arrived at 1:49 PM, I noticed that the staff was holding a closed sign. Luckily, they had a vacant table and allowed me to dine. The dish was served in just 6 minutes, possibly due to being the last customer during lunchtime. The bowl contained 8 different ingredients, and it was said to have originated from a certain local restaurant's staff meal. The taste was a perfect mix of sweet and savory, with a variety of ingredients coated in egg. The price of 1200 yen was reasonable for the quality. However, it felt a bit too refined for my taste. It had been 10 years since my last visit, and I look forward to trying their more standard Chinese dishes next time.

I went to a Chinese Cantonese cuisine restaurant located in the outskirts of Obihiro City, as the store in the downtown area had closed down. The dishes I had included saliva chicken, jellyfish in vinegar, pickled ark shell, scallion oil noodles, shrimp in chili sauce, daikon mochi, traditional steamed dumplings, stir-fried water spinach with pork, xiaolongbao, stir-fried black pepper king prawns and scallops, aged soy sauce stir-fry, and soft shell shrimp Shanghai noodles. I forgot to take a picture of the crab fried rice.

In Obihiro, there is a popular yet authentic Chinese restaurant called "Mishinrou" that has been loved by locals for a long time. It offers delicious and cost-effective Chinese cuisine in a casual atmosphere that is also child-friendly. It used to be called "Toutenko" in the past. The nearest JR station is Kashiwadai Station, but it's best to go by car as it takes about 20 minutes on foot. There are parking spaces available next to the store and in the third parking lot at the back.

I wanted to have Chinese lunch with my family and decided to visit this restaurant for the first time. It is located along Shirakaba Street and has a large and impressive storefront, making it easy to find. We ordered using the tablet device on the table. I personally liked being able to intuitively order from the bright and beautiful menu photos. We had ankake yakisoba, boiled dumplings, and Chinese rice bowl, all of which were delicious. My wife and children were also satisfied and full. The total came to 2,398 yen, so the cost performance was great. It's a more authentic and yet casual Chinese restaurant compared to "Bamiyan" located on the same Shirakaba Street. I think it's one of the famous restaurants in Tokachi. Thank you for the meal. We'll definitely come back again.

When visiting Obihiro, there is always a place that people must go to, and I have always wanted to visit someday. This time, I heard that they would listen to requests and decided to visit. There are a few parking spaces in front of the restaurant and a relatively large parking lot in the back. The building looks very Chinese and gives off that vibe. The person who always goes there usually orders the Chinese chirashi, so I decided to try it too (1,000 yen). It was served promptly, and at first glance, it seemed like a substantial amount. I decided to eat quickly and attacked it with a spoon. It was more like a Chinese donburi than a chirashi. The perfect balance of flavors kept me going with the spoon. The harmony of shrimp, squid, fried chicken, green peppers, eggs, and Chinese cabbage was truly impressive. I finished it all in one go. Thank you for the meal. Next time, I would like to try the sesame dumplings.

I ordered the Chinese chirashi. This restaurant usually offers a buffet for lunch. The Chinese chirashi that came out had a lot of eggs and was filled with luxurious ingredients. Ordering was done through a touch panel, and the food came out quickly, which was great.

We visited the restaurant around 12 pm on April 14th with three people. It was crowded as it was lunchtime. We were seated at a table for four. The spacing between tables was wide. I had a dilemma but ended up ordering shochu with water, Chinese rice bowl, while the other two ordered mapo noodles, Chinese chirashi, and soft drinks. We also shared two orders of grilled dumplings and three orders of xiaolongbao. The Chinese rice bowl was delicious with clams, which was unusual. The grilled dumplings were also tasty. The Chinese chirashi is apparently a popular dish in Obihiro City, but I'm not sure about the details. I would like to try it if I have the chance. The xiaolongbao came in a steamer basket and were served on a spoon-like utensil. They were like soup dumplings from the start. The service was polite, and it was a delicious Chinese restaurant. Thank you for the meal.

This is a Chinese restaurant in Obihiro that I often visit. Many people say this is the place to go for Chinese food. Here is what I ordered this time:
1st picture: Pachikai, a chicken dish that I always order!
2nd picture: Braised pork ramen. It's delicious! But the price went up significantly from 980 yen to 1280 yen this time.
3rd picture: Shrimp mayo in a small size. The mayonnaise sauce was really good.
4th picture: Beijing duck fried rice, which was a limited-time dish. It had a unique taste. I love crab fried rice, so I want to try that next time!

Since this is a revisit, I'll focus on photos♪ We ended the day with dinner at Bichinrou (*'▽') It was a bit early for dinner considering we had to drive back to Kushiro, but it was still crowded. The menu here is extensive and just looking at it is enjoyable (*´з`) As for the taste... well, it's not incredibly amazing, but it's definitely delicious♪

I wanted to try a Chinese buffet lunch in Obihiro, so I went to Mijinro Nishike in Obihiro city. I arrived just after 11 am and was shown to my seat by the staff, then the buffet started. You can enjoy the buffet for 90 minutes on weekdays (80 minutes on holidays). It is a self-serve style buffet with salad, dessert, 10 Chinese dishes, and drinks all set up in one place. When a dish runs out, it is replenished. They also offer complimentary ramen for the buffet customers. Overall, it was a very satisfying lunch experience.

I went to Meishinzakura Nishie for lunch buffet! When it first opened, I went there quite often. The price is 1,250 yen including tax, and they open right at the opening time. Even on weekdays, if it's close to 12 o'clock, there are people waiting. About 10 people can enter at the same time. Since it's a Chinese restaurant, I feel like eating a lot of Chinese food, but in reality, I can't eat everything. The serving area is small and it seems crowded, but surprisingly, it's quite calm along the flow. The popular menu items are fried rice, gyoza, yakisoba with thick sauce, sweet and sour pork, and fried chicken. The gyoza is the soft type, just like it used to be. I keep getting more while thinking about the old days. Of course, the fried rice and yakisoba with thick sauce are the best here. I used to eat a lot of them when I was young. There was also a Chinese chirashi, so I tried it. Yeah, I like this taste. For those who haven't tried it yet, I recommend it! You have 20 minutes to finish eating. There is a time limit of 90 minutes, but let's leave it to the big eaters. Meishinzakura, thank you for the delicious meal!

Lunch, Chinese, all-you-can-eat for 1250 yen, opens at 11:00. There were a few people lined up before opening, but luckily we arrived a little after 11:00 and were able to get a seat. It's a rotating table for 4 people. The menu included almond jelly, lychee salad, dumplings, fried rice, sweet and sour pork, Chinese-style stir-fried pork and vegetables, yakisoba, university potatoes, fried chicken, ramen, egg soup, oolong tea, and coffee. There were a few other dishes that I didn't know the names of. I went back for seconds about three times, but now I'm full.

It's been a while since my last visit. Learning from the past experience, I arrived 15 minutes before the opening time and was about the 10th in line to enter. The first thing you do is line up at the buffet station to get your food. "Vinegar Chicken" is a must-try at Meizhenlou. It has a rich flavor with a balance of sourness and sweetness. The chicken meat seems to have thinner skin and more lean meat, making it easier to eat. It also feels less heavy on the stomach. "Soy Sauce Duck" is another classic dish. It has a strong, slightly bitter taste from being well-seared. The thinly sliced meat without much fat is easy to eat. It has a rich flavor without being too oily. "Stir-Fried Chicken with Vegetables" is made with thinly sliced chicken and vegetables stir-fried together. The meat is very tender, and the seasoning is mainly based on bean paste. It has a spicy kick from stir-frying with chili peppers. The "Dumplings" have a plain filling, so soy sauce is needed for flavor. You can taste the sweetness of the vegetables. The thin, crispy skin adds a delicious texture. "Iron Pot Lamb" is made with tender, lean lamb meat and garlic stems stir-fried together. It is seasoned with oyster sauce and has a hint of cumin fragrance. Overall, the dishes seem to have become even more delicious than before. The authentic seasoning with bean paste and oyster sauce, generous portions of meat and squid compared to vegetables, and good meat quality make it a must-visit in Obihiro. I can't wait to come back and line up early next time.

Chirashi Chuka. I've had it before. This one had a pretty good portion size. It's like a Chinese rice bowl without the sauce, cooked with oyster oil for a slightly sweet and salty taste. I could see pork, cabbage, shrimp, enoki mushrooms, carrots, greens, and wood ear mushrooms. I like the pork, eggs, and wood ear mushrooms. The shrimp here was also big and chewy. If it's a bit too sweet, you can adjust with some hot mustard. I think it's delicious with plenty of pork and eggs.

Visit on Wednesday around 9 pm. There were a few customers as it was a weekday night, so I could easily find a seat. Beautiful Pavilion is considered a high-class Chinese restaurant in Tokachi, but surprisingly, the prices for ramen dishes range from 630 yen. Intrigued by the description of "the ultimate noodle dish," I ordered the most expensive ramen on the menu. Chan Komein for 980 yen. The salt-based white soup had a strong kick of chili pepper when I took the first sip. It had a flavor similar to champon but not as fishy, with a solid body from the white soup base. The soup was so delicious that I wanted to keep drinking it. The noodles were a medium-thin straight type with a natural flavor that didn't overpower the dish. The toppings included shrimp, squid, Chinese cabbage, bok choy, pork, green onions, and sliced chili peppers. The vegetables had a slight crunch and a soft texture, creating a perfect balance. As I alternated between the noodles, soup, and toppings, I found myself getting more and more absorbed in the dish, and I finished it all. It was a delicious dish that felt more like a Chinese noodle dish than ramen. Thank you for the meal.

Sometimes you feel like going to a Chinese restaurant. This time, I chose the crab meatball noodles. I think they use about 3 eggs in this dish. The noodles are topped with plenty of crab meatballs, which gives it a satisfying texture. My wife had the five-ingredient yakisoba, a crispy version. You can request them to fry the noodles in oil instead of the usual way. I prefer the regular non-fried version, though. Hidden behind the pork bowl is a local dish from Obihiro, the Chinese chirashi. It consists of stir-fried vegetables with egg on top of rice. This was my daughter's choice and it is really delicious. Highly recommended when you visit Obihiro. We also had some dumplings and draft beer. They serve Sapporo Classic here, but Sapporo Draft would be even better. It was a long time since we visited a delicious Chinese restaurant. You can find the Tabelog sticker at the entrance.
