I spent two days eating and walking, wearing new shoes, and now I can't walk anymore because of the terrible blisters. I'm in excruciating pain and can barely move. I can't even walk the 5 minutes to the nearest station on the Hankyu line from the last restaurant I visited. I'm on the verge of tears. I'm slowly making my way. I've decided to cut my plans short and head home earlier. I should have just come by car like usual. But then it wouldn't be "eating and walking," right? I finally arrived at Namba, where I boarded the "Phoenix." But before that, I had to visit the highly recommended "mitarashi" shop that I had seen so many times before but never paid much attention to. Even though my legs were killing me, I didn't forget about it today. I somehow managed to drag my legs to the shop. Luckily, it was close to the ticket gate. When I told them I wanted to take a photo, they performed a little show of adding the sauce. The sauce was generous, and they explained how to heat it up in detail. However, I had a 1.5-hour journey home, and the sauce was still warm when I got back. By the way, the plate in the photo is my favorite plate that I painted in Shiga. My personal tea cup and plate at home feature either Doala or Funassyi. I wanted the kindness of Funassyi more than the sadistic Doala. I scooped up some sauce with a spoon and tasted it. Oh, this is just my taste! The broth is rich and flavorful, not overly sweet like typical mitarashi sauce. The mochi was soft, and I devoured it in seconds. Even after 1.5 hours, the mochi was still not hard. It was better than the famous shops in Koya or Tsu. Why didn't I notice this earlier? Ah, I should have bought more. Thank you to the reviewer! Thank you for the fantastic recommendation! I bought 10, but my nephew, a schoolboy with a sweet tooth, ate them all, leaving me with only one to eat. So, I grilled some frozen mochi and topped it with the leftover sauce. Still delicious. The Phoenix was quiet, and the ride was smooth. Despite the pain in my feet, I didn't feel like exploring all the cars, but the seats were spacious and comfortable. Taking the train once in a while is nice. But for my monthly visits to Osaka for grave visits and food tours, I'll stick to the car. There were other restaurants I wanted to visit, but the blisters and the inconvenience of taking the train made it difficult. Next time, I'll drive around. These two days were both enjoyable and painful, lonely, and thought-provoking. Working in the service industry, I learned a lot and had a lot to think about. Also, I wanted to review three more restaurants, but due to circumstances, I couldn't post them on Tabelog. I'm sorry. However, all three were popular and delicious restaurants with excellent service. I would love to visit them again. Well, today and tomorrow, I'm still on paid leave. I want to see Doala... The Okinawa camp starts today. He probably isn't there. I received information from my Dragons friends that he was wandering around the dome area yesterday. He might get caught soon under the stalking prevention law.
