While transferring at Nihonbashi, I stopped by the basement floor of Nihonbashi Takashimaya Main Store to purchase Merry Chocolates. The Christmas designs on the tin were cute, so I bought it for the tin itself (laughs). Inside the tin, there were various chocolates and chocolate sweets. Santa Claus packaging, bear shapes, each chocolate exuded cuteness (*^^*). Personally, I felt that it was more of a chocolate that you can easily snack on rather than a chocolate that you savor slowly like those from a high-end chocolate specialty store. It was delicious enough and had a festive Christmas charm in the chocolate tin!

I sent a photo by email before going to Tokyo, but didn't hear back so I didn't buy it. However, I received a photo of the chocolate I wanted this time, which I found at the Amour du Chocolat festival at JR Nagoya Takashimaya. It was a Mary's Moomin tin with 21 chocolates inside. Each one is a favorite.

Around 4:30 pm on weekdays, there was only one customer at the permanent B1 sales floor. The Moomin collaboration is only available on the special sales floor on the 8th floor, so I climbed up hesitantly. The Valentine's special sales floor "Amour Du Chocolat" was surprisingly empty, perhaps due to the COVID-19 situation or just a matter of time. There were a decent number of people, but it wasn't crowded. In fact, the permanent sweets sales floor downstairs was more crowded. As I was wandering around the department store basement, I came across some delicious-looking chocolate bars. There were several varieties of chocolate bars available, such as dark chocolate with hazelnuts, white chocolate with dried raspberries, and mint-colored chocolate. I tried a sample of the raspberry one, and it was sweet and tangy, very tasty! It seems to be popular among women. Since I was more in the mood for milk chocolate, I decided to try the milk chocolate bar with biscuit and apple tart. It cost 432 yen for 50g. The apple tart had plenty of semi-dried apples, giving it a sweet and tangy flavor, combined with the biscuit crust, it felt like enjoying an apple pie in chocolate form. Personally, I felt that a hint of cinnamon would enhance the flavor, but tastes vary. Overall, I think these chocolates are great for a casual snack or a small gift. ★☆

I often see souvenirs like this. Cherry blossom chocolate and matcha chocolate for the season of spring. It feels very spring-like. I enjoyed them very much.

I received Mary's Gracious Fancy Chocolates - a box of 40 pieces. There are 16 different types inside. I decided to start with the Almond Cup because I love almond chocolate. It was followed by a heart-shaped milk chocolate, then coffee, and Crisp Gianduja. I also enjoyed the almond crunch in the wrapping. I couldn't decide what to try next, so I closed the box for the day. But I couldn't resist and ended up eating all of them while trying to pick just one.
