This is a shop located in the Depachika (basement food floor) of Tobu Ikebukuro department store. It has a traditional Japanese atmosphere and offers chocolates, sablés, and marron glacé, among other treats. I purchased the matcha crunch to enjoy at home. It is part of the "Shushu Atsume" series, featuring a Japanese-style design and color scheme in a luxurious-looking box. Sezondosezuko seems to be affiliated with Merry Chocolate. The rich matcha chocolate with crunchy texture was delicious. While the quantity is not large, it is a perfect snack for tea time, suitable for both coffee and Japanese tea. The Shushu Atsume series has a casual vibe, but the chocolates are meticulously decorated and would make a lovely gift.

JR Ikebukuro Station connects directly to Tobu Department Store Ikebukuro Store on the basement 1st floor. Merry Chocolate's Chocolatier shop is located there, and it is also present in 21 depachika stores from Sapporo to Fukuoka. I bought the Chocola no Shirabe (9 pieces for 1,080 yen) as a prelude to Valentine's Day. It includes chocolates representing the four seasons, with two pieces each, and a unique soy sauce flavor. We shared them among us, and I tried the Matcha of Rikka. To be honest, I couldn't really tell the difference in taste, but... it was delicious. There were also beautiful seasonal limited edition chocolates available.

I wonder if there is a Seconde Setsuko in Kansai, I feel like I just learned about it for the first time. I was drawn in by the cute chocolate designs. The seasonal chocolate assortment, flowers, animals, and colorful designs that are almost too cute to eat, but they were delicious!

White Day gift for my wife

The fruit jelly is delicious. It uses natural water called "Milky Way" and is combined with fruits soaked in alcohol.

After finishing my business in Ikebukuro, I was wandering around the department store basement when suddenly I felt like having a snack. I ended up buying two types of pastries: one with white chocolate-covered purple sweet potato, and the other with milk chocolate-covered matcha cream. The white chocolate one was better! The matcha cream with milk chocolate on pastry... it felt like the Yokohama Mille-feuille was a better match. The taste of matcha and chocolate felt a bit off... the white chocolate one was tastier. But honestly, I feel like I didn't really need to eat them. They are individually wrapped, which is convenient for office snacks though.
