I visited "Ichirenka" in Amerikamura for the tenth time. I had the half-boiled seasoned egg ramen (thick noodles, firm) for 930 yen and a bottle of beer for 500 yen. When I feel like eating decent family-style ramen, I come here. The ramen is slightly milder than the authentic one, but it's not bad. It's an orthodox family-style ramen with thick noodles, nothing too unique, but overall good. Adding a teaspoon of garlic gives it a bit more punch. I was happy to have free rice at lunch. I ended up having two bowls, one with regular rice and one with extra rice.

The Yokohama-style ramen chain restaurants in Nihonbashi, Nagahoribashi, and Amerikamura are all popular. When I visited around 8 PM on a weekday, the seats were full with 3 people waiting outside. I ordered the Tonkotsu Shoyu Ramen and Fried Rice set for 1170 yen using the ticket machine. You can choose between thin or thick noodles, as well as the firmness, richness, and oiliness of the broth. The toppings included chashu, spinach, and seaweed. The medium-thick curly noodles had a tonkotsu-based soy sauce flavor with a slightly oily finish. There were various condiments on the table like pepper, shichimi, sesame, chili oil, vinegar, garlic, chopped ginger, kyu-chan, and doubanjiang. It was rare to find fried rice at a ramen chain, but it had a strong flavor that paired well with the tonkotsu ramen and was delicious.

"Ninth visit to 'Yokohama-style Ramen Ichirenka Amerikamura branch'. Half-boiled seasoned egg ramen (thick noodles, firm) for 930 yen, bottled beer for 500 yen. When I feel like eating a decent bowl of Yokohama-style ramen, I come here. The ramen here is a bit milder than the authentic version, but still good. The thick noodles in this classic Yokohama-style ramen are nothing extraordinary, but overall it's pretty good. Adding a spoonful of garlic gives it a bit more kick. I was happy to get free rice during lunchtime. I ended up diving into the rice and ended up eating two bowls."

I felt like having ramen after drinking, so I went to this place. It's a shop that serves the popular house style ramen. In the past, most shops used to offer all-you-can-eat rice, but recently, due to cost increases, many places have switched to offering all-you-can-eat only during lunch time. However, the price of rice hasn't changed much, so it seems like there are more shops now promoting all-you-can-eat rice. The ramen here is a standard house style ramen, neither good nor bad. I wish the chashu had a bit more flavor. It's great that they stay open late.

I visited "Yokohama-style ramen Ichirenka Amerikamura branch" for the eighth time. I had the half-cooked flavored egg ramen (thick noodles) for 900 yen, and added rice for 100 yen. The ramen here is slightly milder than the authentic version, but still good. When I crave for a decent bowl of Yokohama-style ramen, I come here. The thick noodles in the traditional style ramen may not have any unique features, but overall it tastes good. Today, I added rice to make it an "Ojiya" style, and it was delicious.

I visited "Ichirenka" in Amerikamura for the seventh time. I had the half-boiled seasoned egg ramen (thick noodles, firm) for 900 yen with extra noodles for 200 yen. When I felt like having some decent but not too strong tasting ramen, I come here. The ramen here is a bit milder than the authentic one, but still good. The thick noodles and orthodox style of ramen are nothing special, but overall it's good. Adding a spoonful of garlic gives it a bit more punch. Rice was free until 6 pm, so I might come for lunch next time.

I visited "Ichi-Renkei" in Amerikamura for the sixth time. I ordered the half-boiled seasoned egg ramen (thick noodles, firm) for 900 yen with extra noodles for 200 yen, and a bottle of beer for 500 yen. When I feel like eating decent family-style ramen that is slightly milder than the authentic version, I come here. The orthodox family-style ramen with thick noodles is nothing extraordinary, but it tastes good overall. Adding a spoonful of garlic gives it a bit more punch. I was happy that rice was complimentary. I ended up diving into the rice and had three bowls of it. Because it's on the milder side, I think it goes well with rice. Despite the price increase, it still feels like a good deal.

I went to Nostah and couldn't make it in time for my appointment, so I went to Ichirenya. I ordered the Gyoza set and this time I chose Katame Koime, but I think Koime is just right! Does anyone else feel like they overeat a little with ramen and end up feeling too full?

I had plans in Shinsaibashi, so I went to Ichiran because I didn't have much time and I don't usually eat ramen in Osaka. I ordered the gyoza set with firm noodles. The soup had a nice pork bone aroma, but I prefer it with a bit more soy sauce. Next time, I want to try ordering it with less firm noodles.

I visited 'Ichiren-ya Amerikamura' for the fifth time. The price of the Half-boiled Flavored Egg Ramen (thick noodles, firm) had increased by 60 yen to 900 yen from 840 yen. When I feel like eating decent but slightly milder authentic ramen, I come here. The ramen here is pretty good, although it lacks a standout feature. I didn't get to try the garlic or rice, but as a closing ramen, it was satisfying.

I visited "Ichirenka" in Amerikamura for the fourth time. I had the half-boiled seasoned egg ramen (thick noodles, firm) for 840 yen, along with a bottle of beer for 500 yen. The ramen here is slightly milder than the authentic style, but still good. When I crave a decent bowl of house-style ramen, this is where I come. The thick noodles in the traditional house style ramen are nothing out of the ordinary, but overall it's quite good. Adding a spoonful of garlic gives it a bit more punch. I appreciate the free rice option as well. If you're looking for a hearty meal, I recommend getting the 1.5 times noodle extra portion (200 yen) as the regular serving might be a bit lacking.

Hi~. Today I'm on a business trip to Osaka! (*ノ゚Д゚)八(゚Д゚*)ノ Wheee! This is a chance to explore ramen shops on the company's dime! (☆∀☆)キラーン↑ Isn't this a bit too casual? (´・ω・`)? Despite booking a Shinkansen train in the morning at 9 o'clock, I ended up having a drinking party in Kamata with my followers the night before... (y゚ロ゚)yガチョーン Just a little drink! (σ・∀・)σ That was the plan, but we ended up extending the all-you-can-drink option twice! Σ(ノд<) The next morning... ( ・ε・)ピヨピヨ I somehow managed to wake up at 7 am and catch the Shinkansen train! ε=(ノ゚Д゚)ノ ヌォォォォォー I arrived at Shin-Osaka around 11:30 am. I rode the new N700S series Shinkansen!ヾ(≧∀≦*)ノ〃 ↑ Getting my dose of iron! (oゝД・)b Now, where should I go for my first meal in Osaka? σ(´・ε・`*) There's a ramen shop called "Chochin Spica" near the east exit of Shin-Osaka station that serves ramen for lunch! Σ(・ω・ノ)ノ What a disappointment, they were closed. (=д= ) Back to the coin lockers I go. ε=┌(;・∀・)┘ I only stored my luggage for 5 minutes... and it cost 400 yen... ( ゚ー゚)チーン Oh no! щ(゚д゚щ) ウォォォイ!! "Why no ramen here?" I thought as I tried to act cool, kiku1022 here. There are no other ramen shops around Shin-Osaka station, so I reluctantly decided to head to Shinsaibashi. (o;д;)oオヨヨ In this area, there are only 3 options: 1. "Chokika Nagahoribashi" 2. "Isshinka Amerikamura" 3. "Ichirenka Amerikamura" None of them seem promising. .∵・(゚ε゚ )ブフー Nagahoribashi is too far from Yotsubashi, and the closest to my workplace is "Isshinka Amerikamura," but it seems to be closed. (◎-◎;) So, I ended up at "Ichirenka Amerikamura"! (ФωФ)ニャー This shop is operated by "MAD Corporation." They also have a specialty fried chicken shop called "Ageyoshi." The location is closer to Namba in Amerikamura. It's about a 13-minute walk from Shinsaibashi station. The interior has an L-shaped counter and a few tables. I arrived at 12:30 pm, and there was only one other customer. Inside on the left, there's a ticket machine and a cold water dispenser. It looks more like a commercial shop. (;゚∇゚)アハハ According to their website, they boast about their "rich pork bone soup cooked for over 15 hours," but I doubt they cook it at each branch. (*゚∀゚)ブハッ!! At least, I couldn't smell any pork bone aroma in the air here. (ヾノ・ω・`)ナィナィ The taste here is what matters! ● Order Tonkotsu Shoyu (firm noodles, extra noodles): 760 yen 5 sheets of nori: 100 yen Rice: Free (lunchtime service) ● Noodles "Shinomiya Shouten" noodles. Boiled by Tebo. Thick wavy noodles on the firmer side. The texture is slightly powdery rather than chewy. It lacks a chewy texture and has a lower water content. The taste is monotonous and gets boring quickly. The noodles are short and tend to splash the soup. If they were a bit softer, the overall experience might be different. The noodles don't seem to blend well with the soup. That's it for my review!

I ordered thick noodles with medium hardness, richness, and oil. It was very delicious. However, I couldn't find the white rice to be tasty. The ramen was very delicious and matched well with rice, but it was a bit disappointing. The noodles had a good texture, and the soup was especially good. Thank you for the meal.

Ichiran-ya Amerikamura branch!... After finishing my errands in Namba, I was drawn in by a sign that said "Free Rice" and decided to go in! It was my first time having tonkotsu ramen in a while, and the first bite was so delicious that I was moved! I nostalgically thought about how I used to always have tonkotsu ramen after work before the pandemic. I also had gyoza, seared chashu, and 4 bowls of rice, and I left feeling completely satisfied and full!

I visited "Ikkaku-ya" in America-mura for the third time. I had the half-cooked flavored egg ramen (thick noodles, firm) for 840 yen, along with a bottle of beer for 500 yen. When I crave for authentic ramen in Minami, I come here. The rich soup and thick noodles make it a classic family-style ramen, although nothing stands out. It might be slightly milder than the original, but overall it's good. The free rice is also a nice touch.

I visited "Ichirenka," a Yokohama-style ramen restaurant in Amerikamura for the second time. I had the half-cooked seasoned egg ramen with thick noodles cooked firm, priced at 840 yen. The ramen was a standard Yokohama-style with no unique features, but overall it was good. If you're craving Yokohama-style ramen in the Shinsaibashi/Namba area, this place might be a good choice. They also offer a point card system, which is convenient for regular customers.

I went to "Yokohama-style ramen Ichiren-ya Amerikamura branch". I ordered the ramen with half-cooked seasoned egg (thick noodles, firm) for 840 yen and a bottle of beer for 500 yen. As someone who used to live in Yokohama, I didn't have high expectations for Yokohama-style ramen in Kansai, but this place was surprisingly good. It's nothing fancy, but it's consistently good. I like it. It's also nice that they offer free rice for a limited time.

I happened to pass by "Yokohama-style ramen Ichiren-ya Amerikamura branch" and decided to have a late lunch there. Upon entering the restaurant, there is hand sanitizer and a ticket vending machine on the left. I purchased a ticket and selected "thin noodles" with all preferences set to "normal". The tonkotsu salt ramen came with toppings of chashu, spinach, and two sheets of seaweed. The noodles were medium-thin straight noodles with a pork bone-based salty flavor, slightly oily, and a strong salty taste. It was just right to eat with rice because of the strong saltiness. The rice was a bit too firm and not very tasty. They softened it when I poured some soup over it. When you order ramen, you can have free rice refills (11:00-18:00), and there are various condiments on the table such as pepper, chili pepper, sesame, chili oil, vinegar, garlic, chopped ginger, Kyu-chan, and doubanjiang. The restaurant has 9 counter seats (without partitions) and 5 tables (2 tables for 2 people and 3 tables for 4 people), all managed by one staff member. There is a self-service water station and rice bar in the middle of the restaurant. Being in Amerikamura, there were many young customers, and even though it was past 2 PM, there were still a fair number of customers.

The most memorable thing about my visit to Shinsaibashi for work was the suggestion to come back three times even if the taste doesn't suit you. This allows you to customize the toppings and flavors to your liking. I had the tonkotsu shoyu ramen with fried chicken set for 970 yen. During lunchtime, rice is all-you-can-eat, which is a great service for young people and big eaters. As a light eater, I couldn't finish the rice, but I was happy to have a meal for under 1000 yen. The toppings of nori, chashu, and spinach, along with adding onions and eggs, made it perfect. The recommended thick noodles were also delicious.

I went to Ichiran for the first time in a while. Lately, I've been eating their spicy miso ramen, but I felt like having their default ramen today. My friend was interested in their new menu item, the tsukemen, so we decided to try it out.
I ordered the Tonkotsu Shoyu Ramen (720 yen) with thin noodles. Surprisingly, they now offer the option of thin noodles! The ramen arrived without the quail egg that was supposed to be included, and there were only two sheets of seaweed instead of the usual three. A bit disappointing.
The taste was just as I remembered, a rich and salty tonkotsu broth. I enjoyed the thin noodles, which I personally prefer. One great thing about Ichiran is the variety of condiments available for flavor customization. I particularly liked adding minced ginger and crunchy cucumber for a different taste experience.
Overall, it was a satisfying meal, although I won't go into detail about the all-you-can-eat rice. I'll definitely be back again. Thank you for the meal! ♥(・∀・)♥
