I have been to the Hozensji location before, so this time I came to the Higashidori location. As soon as I entered, they asked if I was cold and adjusted the amount of rice for me, which was different from the previous experience. I was debating whether to order takeout or dine in, but decided on the bamboo course because I heard from a friend that the eel rice bowl was delicious and the selection for takeout was limited. The eel in the rice bowl was indeed fluffy and delicious, just as I had heard. The fried chicken that I also wanted to try again from my previous visit to the Hozensji location was included in the course, and despite the many bones, it was still tasty. I enjoyed the eel rice bowl and fried chicken so much that I decided to buy some to take home. I used my shareholder benefits and T-points that I received from a previous reservation made through a food review site, which I had noted in the remarks section when making the reservation, making the payment process smooth.

Please take a look! The thick slices of eel at this place right off Higashi-dori in Umeda are amazing! This course where you can enjoy both blowfish and eel is just fantastic! And to top it off, it's really affordable. The meal starts off with blowfish skin in hot water, so delicious! The blowfish sashimi (tessa), blowfish tempura, and eel rice bowl are all incredibly tasty! The eel rice bowl is served with a refined sauce and the richness of the eel is outstanding. You can choose the size of your rice bowl. It was really great! Definitely check it out! Thank you for the delicious meal!

On a scorching hot tropical night, I went to Umeda. Actually, I had a delicious meal at Genpin Fugu last week, so I brought my family this time. We ordered the "Aged Tiger Pufferfish Gen" course for 5000 yen with all-you-can-drink option. We also added fried tiger pufferfish. The all-you-can-drink option includes one cup of fin sake, and you can enjoy additional drinks with chasers, so be careful not to drink too much. The sashimi was so fresh and bouncy. Although it comes with ponzu sauce, I prefer to eat it with salt. The hot pot is on an IH stove, and it's bubbling like magic. We were excited about it. They also make a delicious porridge for the finale. Next time, when it cools down, I will come back for grilled shirako and the salt ramen at Iida Shoten. I am very satisfied with the cost performance and service, and I will definitely come back regularly.

I found a place where I can eat fugu at a reasonable price. It is close to the station and the staff is very friendly. I made a reservation for a course meal and everything, including dessert, was smoothly served. The tessa and tecchiri were delicious. If I had one suggestion, it would be great to have options other than Dassai sake. I definitely want to go back again!

This time, I used it to celebrate my son's birthday. My son was really looking forward to the grilled shirako, but even after the porridge was ready, it still hadn't come out, so I asked, "Is it not ready yet?" When they said, "After the porridge is done, we'll bring out the last dessert," my son couldn't wait any longer and said, "No, please bring out the grilled shirako before dessert." When they asked, "What is shirako?" I realized that our order hadn't gone through. Since we had other plans, we decided to decline and left the restaurant after dessert. We had chosen dishes with fewer items on the menu to enjoy the grilled shirako, so it was disappointing. The staff apologized before we left, but I couldn't forgive them considering my son was looking forward to his birthday celebration. Well, my son, being the adult, was like, "The order definitely didn't go through!" (laughs) It was frustrating because the other dishes were delicious. (tears)

It was a very nice atmosphere at the restaurant. There were partitions between the tables for COVID-19 measures, but they were a bit wobbly, so I had to use my hands to support them when going to the restroom. The food was also very delicious. I would like to visit again.

My friend, who loves eating, had a birthday this month, so we went to a blowfish lunch to celebrate! (Also, to use up some shareholder benefits haha) At first, I thought about leaving both kids behind, but it seems like they have something like a baby seat, so I decided to bring the 0-year-old along. (I informed them about the baby when making the reservation) My friend was child-free today, so I recommended some alcohol to her, but I didn't drink any myself haha. Now, blowfish is not something I eat often, and the last time I had it was on a tour in Tessa, so I wasn't sure if blowfish was really that great, but oh my, it's so delicious, it's like meat...! (limited vocabulary) It melts in your mouth when you have it shabu-shabu style...! For an extra 300 yen, you can change the Tessa to blowfish sashimi, and it's super delicious, it's totally worth the extra 300 yen! We got all excited about it haha. But, don't you want to take a picture of the Tessa plate? We ordered a course for two people, and you can change one portion to blowfish sashimi, it's amazing, and the staff were so helpful ✨ Also, the way they made the porridge? It was so beautifully presented... I whispered to my friend after the staff left, "They must have practiced a lot, right?" haha. It's a common thing when you're raising kids, but moms usually eat leftovers, right? As for bringing a baby, they did have a baby seat, and the staff were very kind, but it's not really a place to bring a baby, so next time I'll leave them behind. Also, there was no diaper changing table, so they guided us to a vacant seat for that. I thought it was a tatami room, but it turned out to be a sunken kotatsu, which was unexpected. By the way, our neighbor was also using a benefit coupon, and we laughed because it seems like they made some changes to the coupons even though I'm not sure since I got mine as a gift. Even so, we had blowfish and some alcohol in the daytime, and the bill was around 6000 yen, I definitely want to go again ❤️ I think my skin will be glowing for the next few days thanks to the collagen boost haha. There are only a few restaurants that offer lunch, but it might be nice to go after a baby's shrine visit. I have been having our annual New Year's party at this place for over 5 years now. Personally, I feel that when I come to this restaurant, it really feels like the New Year has begun. The fugu here is thick and boneless, and you can enjoy a lot of it. From sashimi to hot pot, you can always count on having delicious fugu every year. The almost private rooms and the traditional Japanese atmosphere are also nice. This year, I chose the "Premium Tiger Pufferfish Course for 8,800 yen" with a 2,000 yen all-you-can-drink option. The course includes fugu skin in hot water, thick-cut sashimi, impressive deep-fried fugu, a hearty hot pot, and dessert. The all-you-can-drink option even includes fin sake, which is great. After one drink, you just have to refill your glass yourself. I will definitely come back next New Year. I am full and satisfied today as well. There was a heart-shaped green onion that is too cute for an old man like me, so I will also share that. As I celebrate each year, I feel like my body shape is becoming more like a fugu. This year, I hope to have a body shape more like a beltfish.

Genpin Fugu @ Higashi Umeda A close friend and I had a year-end party at Hankyu Higashi-dori, and we managed to get a last-minute reservation at "Tetchiri"! We ordered the Aged Tiger Pufferfish Gen Course for 4,500 yen, which included: - Starter (Blanched Fugu Skin) - Tessa (Fugu Sashimi) - Tetchiri (Fugu Hot Pot) - Zosui (Rice Porridge) - Dessert We also added the specialty "Butsu Sashi" (raw tiger pufferfish sashimi with ponzu sauce) for an additional 300 yen, bringing the total to 4,800 yen. The Butsu Sashi was incredibly delicious, served with fresh white cabbage and ponzu sauce. The homemade ponzu sauce was outstanding. The zosui served as the perfect ending to the paper pot tetchiri. Mmm~ - W Fugu sashimi premium course included boiled and raw sashimi with a lot of leeks and grated daikon radish, which was surprising and I avoided it. My companion ate it. Fugu tempura is recommended! It was delicious and crispy. Tetchiri - Yuba roll with fugu meatballs - you can have it made into porridge. The dessert was nut ice cream. It was delicious.

I visited this restaurant for the first time using the shareholder benefits. It had been closed for a while due to the state of emergency, but finally reopened for lunch. There were quite a few people enjoying blowfish while drinking alcohol from noon! As expected, good food goes well with good drinks! I couldn't drink alcohol today because I had plans, but I had a very good meal for the first time in a while from lunch. The staff's service was very good, and the presentation of the dishes was incredibly beautiful. Recently, it is common for chain restaurants to look completely different from the photos, so it was like a replica, haha.

I went to my favorite blowfish restaurant for lunch. It was my first time visiting during the day. I made a reservation for 4 people using the Hot Pepper GO TO service. We were guided downstairs where we could use free Wi-Fi. We started with some drinks - I had the collagen fruit liquor "Kishu Nankou Ume Soda" for 800 yen. We ordered the "Shogozanmai" set meal for 4 people at 4000 yen each. First, we had the "Yubiki" dish which was blowfish sashimi. We also enjoyed the blowfish tempura, even though it had a lot of bones. The main dishes were "Tecchiri", "Nabe Kawa", and "Nabe Collagen Jelly". Lastly, we had porridge and pickles. The portion was about three small plates per person. For dessert, we had "Nuts Ice Cream" and added the collagen pudding and collagen matcha pudding for an extra 200 yen. The food was delicious, thank you very much. The total bill was 20570 yen including tax (with a discount of 12000 yen from a coupon).

Osaka Umeda Genpin Osaka Umeda Higashidori store (formerly known as Genpin Fugu Umeda Higashidori Seki) is a restaurant known for its authentic Fugu cuisine, which is both affordable and luxurious. To celebrate its 40th anniversary, they are offering a special course from October 1st to November 30th, which my friends invited me to try. The 40th-anniversary special course includes 6 dishes for only 4,000 yen excluding tax, which is a great deal. The contents include: Tessa Yudofu, Fugu Sushi, Karaage, Tetchiri (Fugu meatball with Yuba roll), Zosui, and Dessert. You can also add a drink all-you-can option for an additional 1,500 yen. Furthermore, if you order this course, selected menu items are 40% off, such as Nabe Shirako, Yaki Shirako, additional sushi, and more. The atmosphere in the private room was lively with other guests enjoying their meals. The service was courteous, and the course was delicious. The Zosui was particularly impressive. I would love to go back before November 30th. Additionally, they are running a campaign on Instagram where if you follow Genpin and post with the hashtag #Hashifugu, you could win a 29,000 yen voucher or one of forty 4,000 yen vouchers.
