One of the most famous Osaka-style okonomiyaki places in Japan is Fugetsu. Their okonomiyaki is a classic favorite, always consistent in taste. If you're unsure of what to order, you can't go wrong with Fugetsu. Their Fugestu-yaki (mixed) and Mochi Cheese Tonpei are unbeatable!

I came back to Tenma in Osaka for the first time in a while on a business trip. I went with two junior colleagues and asked if they wanted to eat Kazuki, and they agreed. We had: - Grilled squid with salt - Pork okonomiyaki - Negi-mayo salt ramen - Beef tendon and green onion okonomiyaki with cheese topping The food was as good as ever! The pork okonomiyaki had tender meat and was delicious. The negi-mayo salt ramen had a good amount of mayonnaise and thick noodles, which were satisfying and tasty. The okonomiyaki with beef tendon and cheese had a great combination and was delicious! I will definitely come back again!

Before band rehearsal, I decided to grab a bite to eat. Unfortunately, the popular restaurant Senkusa in Temma had a long line, so I went to a reliable place instead. I was lucky to get a table right away. The restaurant quickly filled up after that. I ordered the classic grilled squid legs with salt and pork intestines. I washed down the squid legs with beer. And then enjoyed the main dish, the pork intestines. I was able to play some great music today as well!

I visited the restaurant close to closing time and ordered a beer set and wind moon cake that caught my eye. The beer set was a good deal. The wind moon cake was cooked by a part-time staff member, but the dough was a bit undercooked, which was disappointing. The taste was also a bit off. The staff welcomed me with a smile when I entered, but the other staff members seemed to work without much enthusiasm, overall lacking energy, which was a shame.

I asked a female shop assistant in her 20s for a recommendation, and she immediately pointed to the Cheese Tama (rice ball with cheese) to order. She skillfully grilled it for me. It may be a bit heavy for some, but the stretchy cheese made it taste twice as delicious, like a pizza. Unfortunately, I couldn't have beer with it for lunch. If there was alcohol, it would have been even more delicious. I was served with care.

Tenjinbashi-suji Shopping Street, Ameshin "Tsuruhashi Fuga". I was so hungry that I decided to have okonomiyaki after a long time. I arrived at 11:45 AM and even though I was alone, I was seated at a table for four. It was hot near the iron plate. I ordered the "Cheese Tamamodan" for 1610 yen including tax. The waiter asked if I wanted the modern style, which is not the typical okonomiyaki, and I said yes. It was strange to see "modern" written on the menu, but the waiter cooked it skillfully. He told me to wait until the end for him to finish cooking it. After about 10 minutes, he flipped it over, added yakisoba, egg, and cheese on the iron plate, and then placed the okonomiyaki on top. It took about 20 minutes in total, probably because it was thick. The okonomiyaki, cooked until fluffy, smelled delicious with plenty of mayonnaise and sauce. The soba was slightly thick and chewy. I couldn't find the cheese easily... it was in the middle. It didn't stretch out like in the menu photo, which was a bit disappointing, but it was delicious. The modern style made me really full. I probably could have just ordered a regular okonomiyaki.

Long time no visit. "Don't touch the food, let the restaurant cook it," they say. I ordered okonomiyaki. It was clearly returned quickly. Definitely not cooked. But I went along with it. Started eating. Clearly not cooked. Called the waiter. "It's cooked, isn't it?" "Yes, it is." Oh, I see. Started eating and it was raw pork. It's not cooked, right!!! Why didn't you say you would cook it again from the beginning? It's better not to go here. There are plenty of other places besides this one. Take care of your health.

I visited the restaurant with my 2-year-old son. We have been here a few times before. This time, I ordered the popular Chitama Pork Okonomiyaki for ¥1146 (¥1260 including tax) because the cheese looked so deliciously gooey in the menu photos. It took almost 20 minutes for the okonomiyaki to be ready, so I also ordered the salt-grilled chicken for my son for ¥540 (with a strong flavor). When the okonomiyaki finally arrived, it looked nothing like the photo! The gooey cheese was nowhere to be found. They flipped the okonomiyaki with cheese on top at the very end, but then just left it there without doing anything... I guess they just leave it there for a while? The cheese ended up being hard and not gooey at all after sizzling on the hot plate for a bit. It still tasted like cheese, but it was a bit of a miss this time. Overall, thanks for the meal! (◞‿◟)

I visited before the emergency declaration starting tomorrow. Had the classic pork modan and a mega-sized beer! As always, the cabbage and flavorful broth on the chewy noodles were perfectly balanced, making it a great combo with beer. The staff was working hard despite the pandemic, which I appreciated. Thank you for the delicious meal!

After a long time, I visited the restaurant craving for modern yaki and yakisoba. I tried the signature Fugetsu-yaki, which was filled with shrimp, squid, pork, and had a delicious broth with a hint of sweetness. The yakisoba was cooked on an iron plate, giving it a unique flavor. The staff was very friendly and cheerful, despite the challenges of COVID-19. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

After eating Osechi, I already crave junk food by the 2nd day. This year, I started with Okonomiyaki from Fugetsu! It was already fully booked by 2 p.m. on the 2nd! I ordered the popular No.1 "Chitama Buta Modern" that I've been hooked on since last year. I love the crispy outside and the hint of cheese flavor at the end. The thick and chewy noodles in the Modern yaki are my favorite, so whenever I go to Fugetsu, I always end up ordering the Modern yaki. Some Fugetsu stores don't have onigiri, but this store does, which is a relief for me. I prefer to eat sauce-based dishes with rice. I will definitely go back. Thank you for the delicious meal!

I went to Tsuruhashi Fuggetsu on a Saturday at 6:30 pm and was able to get in without waiting. The staff were all wearing masks and cooked hot okonomiyaki for us. We ordered the popular "Cheese Tamabuta Modern," "Spicy Kimchi Yakisoba," and "Baked Cheese Potato Chips." The Baked Cheese Potato Chips were crispy and covered with plenty of ketchup. The Cheese Tamabuta Modern was delicious as always, with chewy noodles and a perfect mix of cheese and ingredients. The Spicy Kimchi Yakisoba was a bit spicy. I will definitely go back again. Thank you for the delicious meal!

I suddenly felt like eating okonomiyaki and visited this place. I had the pork and octopus okonomiyaki on the hot plate, along with a draft beer! The batter was fluffy and had a hint of sweetness, it was really delicious. The staff were attentive and cooked everything for us from start to finish. It was reassuring to be able to eat without any worries. Thank you for the meal.

For me, when it comes to okonomiyaki, it's "Tsukishiba". This time, I ordered the "Tsukishiba-yaki" at the Tenjinbashi-suji Shotengai store in Tenjinbashi-suji Yonban-gai. It's a classic okonomiyaki with squid, shrimp, pork, and beef as toppings, priced at 1,255 yen, which is quite expensive. If you upgrade to the Modern-yaki, it's an additional 250 yen. And if you go for the Tsukishiba Deluxe (Tsukishiba-yaki + beef tendon + fried egg), it's an extra 400 yen, making it a luxurious option that doesn't quite feel like your typical okonomiyaki. As usual, I had the staff cook it for me, so I could enjoy a consistently delicious okonomiyaki. The wait time is quite long (about 20 minutes), but I enjoy waiting for it to be cooked at "Tsukishiba" or watching the staff cook it.

On the last night of work, there was a wait but I felt like eating some flour-based food, so I decided to visit this place. Today, I decided to go with the standard option. I had a savory pancake and modern pork cooked on an iron plate! The modern pork had a strong flavor, so I think it's better to go easy on the sauce. The beer went down smoothly and I was very satisfied.

Located a short distance from Senmachi Station. Today, I had lunch here. The interior of the restaurant only has tables for four or more people, so as a solo diner, I felt a bit awkward. I ordered one serving of sauce yakisoba. Let's dig in! The noodles have a thick and chewy texture. They are placed on a hot iron plate, giving off a nice aroma of charred sauce. The ingredients include pork, squid, and cabbage, which is a standard combination. One serving is finished in no time, so I recommend getting two servings for a satisfying meal. Overall, it was delicious! The restaurant enforces a no smoking policy during lunchtime, which is a plus. However, dining alone means you can't share both the yakisoba and okonomiyaki, so it's better to visit with two or more people.

Located 3-5 minutes on foot from Sakuranomiya Station, in Tenjinbashi-suji Rokuchome, is the popular okonomiyaki restaurant Tsuruhashi Fuzuki, Tenjinbashi-suji Yonban-gai branch. This restaurant boasts great popularity in Osaka and has multiple branches throughout the area. The staff will cook the okonomiyaki until the end, so even those unfamiliar with cooking it can feel at ease. Each table is equipped with sauce and other condiments, allowing you to adjust the flavor to your liking, which is a thoughtful touch. This time, we ordered the popular menu item, Butatama, and yakisoba. The okonomiyaki, finished with bonito flakes for a crispy texture, was enhanced by the sweet and savory special sauce and the acidity of the mayonnaise, resulting in a delicious dish that would appeal to everyone. The yakisoba, made with egg noodles, was also quite tasty. If you are looking for a classic flour-based restaurant, be sure to visit this place. Thank you for the meal!

In the Tenjinbashi shopping street, there is a chain restaurant called Tsuruhashi Fuzuki that serves okonomiyaki. I ordered the basic pork and cabbage. They cook it on the table's hot plate until it's done. It has plenty of cabbage and fluffy batter. A must-try classic Osaka-style okonomiyaki.

Non-smoking. Wind and Moon never disappoint! Consistently delicious. The fluffy okonomiyaki is hard to replicate at home. I also wanted to try the pork hirayaki.
