Lunch on the second day of the Tokachi trip. I was the only one who ate too much breakfast at the hotel. Pork bowl for lunch? (Hanatokachi-san) I can't handle it because my stomach is full. Yakiniku (Kagura-san) is also tempting, but it's meat so no-go. Rancho El Paso also has meat, right? So, let's go to Kamameshi-ya for lunch. There's also a rice ball lunch available! Since I came all the way to Tokachi, I wanted to eat meat, but oh well. We went to Obihiro Airport in the morning and bought souvenirs. We looked at Gluck Kingdom, which is not open now, from a distance. We bought souvenirs at Sarabetsu Michi no Eki. The items they were selling were unique and interesting. We bought our usual chicken at Nakasatsunai Michi no Eki. And so, it was time for lunch. As requested at the beginning, to eat something other than meat, we visited Gin Shari Tei Kumada-san. The location is easy to find, facing a major road. We used the navigation system, but if you have a general idea of the location, you can go to the restaurant without it. The parking lot is quite spacious with over 20 spaces. The interior of the restaurant is also spacious, with plenty of staff. The seats are table seats, not private rooms, but they have a half-and-half private room-like atmosphere. There are no partitions between the neighboring seats, but you can't see anything else, creating a nice atmosphere. Before going to Obihiro, I had already looked through the menu, but when it came time to order, I was undecided. Meat or fish. The parent company has been dealing with seafood for a long time (since 1912) in Asahikawa, so I wanted to eat meat, but I chose fish. I ordered the Autumn Salmon Set for 990 yen (tax included) - cheap!? Is it okay? I was in the mood for a rice bowl with raw egg, so I ordered a raw egg option for 99 yen. Altogether, it was about 1,100 yen. My companions each ordered different items. It takes a while for the food to be ready, but that's okay. My companions were not hungry when we entered the restaurant, so this waiting time was actually welcome. Since we had time, we looked through the menu and found that we could also take out rice balls, so we bought 4 for souvenirs. They were around 200 yen each, not that expensive. I didn't eat the rice balls myself, but they were said to be delicious. The Autumn Salmon Set - 990 yen + raw egg - 99 yen, comes with egg over rice, two side dishes, pickles, and miso soup. A good combination. And with the optional raw egg and the main dish being substantial, the autumn salmon was huge. There was plenty of grated daikon radish, which was nice. I was surprised by the quality even before eating. The Autumn Salmon - thick and perfectly cooked. It was plump and fragrant, maybe marinated in sake lees. When you put the salmon on the grated daikon radish and drizzle it with soy sauce (which was also salmon-flavored soy sauce, I think they are particular about it), it was delicious! The Side Dishes - both the vegetables and the dried radish were well seasoned. They didn't taste like they were just there for show. The Egg Omelette - a small portion of egg omelette was included. Not bad. The Pickles - a good amount of pickles, with a satisfying crunch. The seasoning was just right, not too salty. The Miso Soup - also well seasoned. Not too strong or too weak. Just the right amount of flavor. Delicious miso soup. The Rice - it says it's equivalent to two bowls of rice, but it's not that much. With plenty of side dishes, eating them makes you feel just right. And this silver rice... The cooking was excellent! The rice itself was delicious, of course. I had the second bowl with egg over rice, and it was delicious. The salmon-flavored soy sauce on the table went perfectly with it. It was delicious. Writing this review, I feel like eating it again. I also tried my companion's striped Hokke, which was delicious. It was quite filling, and my companion, who was full from breakfast, gave me about half of the striped Hokke, but delicious striped Hokke can be eaten endlessly, right? It went perfectly with the grated daikon radish. Everyone was satisfied. The rice balls we bought for souvenirs were also well received. And they have a wide variety of a la carte items, including the raw egg we had this time, as well as natto, pickled plums, fish, and...
