Whiteichi is a famous ice cream shop known for its visually striking super long ice creams. It has its headquarters in Tokyo and offers fresh ice cream in Shibuya and Shinsaibashi. The small shop allows for dine-in, but only with long benches, and during busy times, eating inside is discouraged, with takeout being the only option. The menu includes ice cream in a cone or cup for 440 yen, with organic black honey available for an extra 50 yen. They also offer coffee milk for 530 yen, freshly ground espresso for 580 yen, premium milk for 530 yen, black honey with kinako for 680 yen, and black honey with matcha for 680 yen. Whiteichi prides itself on using carefully selected ingredients such as Hokkaido premium milk, Hokkaido red beans, organic black honey, organic kinako, Uji matcha from Kyoto, and domestically produced shiratama. The ice cream is made right after you order, rolled into a long spiral like soft serve, and then topped with a unique angular shape. The visual impact of the super long ice cream is impressive! When you take a bite, you'll experience a crunchy texture. The taste is light and delicate, allowing the flavors of red beans, shiratama, kinako, etc., to shine through. While Sujata's Silk Ice Cream offers a smooth and creamy texture similar to soft serve, Whiteichi intentionally provides a crunchy texture instead of smoothness. Even though some soft serve shops may offer ice cream with a crunchy texture by setting the temperature low, Whiteichi's ice cream has a similar feel, with the shop being quite cool. Unlike rich Jersey milk, the ice cream has a light and gentle flavor that highlights the natural taste of the ingredients. Adding toppings like fruits might complement the ice cream well. While my child wasn't impressed, it may be more suited for adults.
