This time, we tried 10 different seafood bowls in the "Sumo Chaya Kotosakura" in Osaka, Moriguchi City. I ordered the seafood bowl for 960 yen. I chose the sliced udon as the set.

When I went to a udon restaurant, it had a sumo wrestler theme and served chanko curry udon. It was interesting and delicious, with a good texture and heat. However, it was unclear what part of it was chanko. Thank you for the meal!

A Japanese restaurant near the Subway Taishibashi-Imaichi station. I received a bento box from this restaurant, most likely the Beppu Gozen for 2160 yen. The meal included matsutake mushroom rice, black wagyu beef with oyster sauce, homemade white miso salad, simmered vegetables, and rolled omelette. While there were no standout dishes, everything was quite delicious and well-balanced overall. The matsutake mushroom rice and homemade white miso salad were particularly tasty. I believe this bento box is of a higher quality compared to others in the same price range.

This is a chanko restaurant run by a former sumo stable. However, just because a former sekitori (wrestler) runs a chanko restaurant doesn't necessarily mean the food will be good. In fact, successful sekitori probably didn't have many opportunities to make chanko themselves. It's usually the lower-ranked wrestlers or kitchen staff who make the chanko. Perhaps they could become chanko masters through this experience. However, being from a sumo stable doesn't automatically make you a chanko expert. As for the taste of the chanko at this restaurant, well, it was pretty good. It was my first time eating chanko (lol). The udon noodles were also homemade and had a nice texture. It was a satisfying meal.

It was a bento lunch at a chanko restaurant in Moriguchi, and the bento here is quite delicious! It was autumn, so the main dish was matsutake mushroom rice, with shrimp fry, scallop fry, beef, simmered vegetables (daikon radish, carrot, thick fried tofu, edamame, pumpkin), eggplant miso, white sesame tofu, tamagoyaki, and sakura mochi. The dessert in the middle was a bit difficult to eat, but highly recommended.
