This is a yakiniku restaurant located along the Mikasa River in Chiyocho. The purpose of this day was to eat delicious horumon. Of course, when it comes to yakiniku, you have to have a draft beer. Kimchi is served. We started with the salt-grilled premium beef tongue (1200 yen) as our first dish. Next, we ordered the premium Japanese beef kalbi (1400 yen). Then, we enjoyed the horumon starting with the favorite small intestine (700 yen). Next was the Hakata horumon, but by this point, I was a bit drunk and couldn't tell the difference from the small intestine. Of course, we enjoyed the grilled meat with miso sauce. We also added the maruchou (large intestine) for 700 yen. For the final meat dish, we had the liver sashimi for 900 yen, but I personally don't like raw liver so I passed on that. In Korean cuisine, we ended with rice and soft tofu stew. It was a hot and spicy delicious sundubu jjigae. It was a day completely won over by the delicious horumon. Sometimes, I have an inexplicable craving for hormone dishes. I wonder why, but I think it's because they taste so good. Just the other day, while working in Hakata, my "hormone switch" turned on! I sent a message to the teacher I was dining with saying, "Today is hormone day!" and they took me to a place called "Hakata Hormone." It seems that dirty restaurants somehow make this type of food taste even better. However, this place is old but well maintained and clean, which I appreciate. Eating raw beef intestine slices with vinegar miso sauce was a nice change. It's been a while since I've had it and I realized how good it is. And my favorite, "cori cori"... This is the aorta of the cow, but when grilled, it truly has a crunchy texture that is irresistible. The location is quite remote, so I recommend taking a taxi or car, but there is parking available if you can secure a driver. There is also a sister restaurant in Nakasu, the entertainment district.

About once every six months, I just have to satisfy my craving for the hormone dishes at this place. The hormone here has no unpleasant smell at all, and the marinade is delicious! The chewy texture is truly irresistible. In addition, dishes like Sundubu jjigae also have great flavors. On this day, I had small intestines, premium kalbi, and sirloin, all of which were really delicious. Plus, the beer goes down so smoothly. I ended up getting quite drunk, but it was a fantastic day!

I love maruchou (intestine) so much. Whenever I go to yakiniku (Japanese BBQ), I always order maruchou. Even though I go to a horumon (offal) restaurant, I am only interested in maruchou. The maruchou at this restaurant is amazing. It is so plump and when grilled, it has a satisfying size. Sometimes when I order cheap maruchou at a cheap restaurant, it ends up being the size of a pinky finger after grilling, and I have to chew it a few times before swallowing. I prefer maruchou with a good texture! Of course, the meat is also well-seasoned and delicious. I don't drink alcohol, so I have a bowl of rice in one hand while eating.
