On the second day of my Fukuoka trip, I had dinner at Roister Nakasu. The luxurious private room setting made the experience elegant and lovely. Located on the 5th floor, the view of the river was outstanding, creating a unique dining atmosphere. I enjoyed a Teppanyaki course featuring main ingredients such as lobster, oysters, and Hakata beef for 10,000 yen. The appetizers included lobster chawanmushi, lobster with ponzu jelly, and selected fresh oysters. The creamy Hokkaido oysters were particularly delicious. The Caesar salad course was a nice touch, offering a variety of vegetables. The sizzling oysters with butter soy sauce were luxurious and flavorful. The lobster teppanyaki with Roister's special uni sauce was also delicious. The Hakata beef fillet steak was cooked in front of us and flambéed, creating a spectacular performance. The truffle salt and pink rock salt enhanced the flavor of the beef. The garlic rice and lobster miso soup cooked on the teppanyaki counter were aromatic and full of umami. The yuzu sherbet dessert was a perfect ending to the meal. It was a memorable experience during my Fukuoka trip.

Lobster and oyster teppanyaki restaurant with a luxurious atmosphere. The seafood platter (12,000 yen) includes lobster, fresh oysters, black tiger prawns, abalone, and scallops, beautifully presented with ice and smoke effects. The lobster teppanyaki (7,200 yen) is cooked in front of you and served with a delicious special sea urchin sauce. The dishes are a bit pricey but worth it for special occasions. (Spring 2023) Located on the west side of Shunkichi Bridge, the Hissuke Futsudo Building is the self-owned building of the brush specialty store "Fukudo" with a history of over 500 years since the Muromachi period. In addition to their own store on the 4th floor, there are about 7 food and beverage outlets including the famous croissant shop "Mikazukiya" and an eel restaurant run by a long-established wholesaler with its main store in Nagoya. On the 5th floor of the building is a restaurant named "Roister," which seems to be named after its focus on serving teppanyaki dishes featuring lobster and oysters. With only 4 tables and 12 counter seats, it is a small restaurant with striking red leather sofas. The dinner overlooking the flow of the Nakagawa River and the Canal City Hakata on the opposite bank is expected to create a stylish atmosphere. The only dish available for lunch is the "Hakata Wagyu lean steak." It may not be appealing to choose one or two slices of 100g each, so it's recommended to stick with one slice. The steak, with a thickness of just under 10mm, is cooked to a medium-rare level, making it tender. However, the surface is not crispy, and it was a bit disappointing that it had cooled down by the time it was served with rice and miso soup on the plate. The Japanese sauce, wasabi soy sauce, and garlic chips with rock salt and truffle salt on the side were appreciated, and the truffle salt seemed to be the most suitable. While it may be an attempt to lead customers from lunch to dinner service by offering affordable steak for lunch, the lack of friendliness and attention in the service makes it hard to consider visiting for dinner, even though the lunch is reasonably priced.

During the Golden Week holiday in May, I visited Fukuoka and stayed overnight near Nakasu. I enjoyed dinner at this restaurant, which was located close to the hotel where I stayed. The restaurant specialized in teppanyaki, offering courses with lobster, steak, and oysters. I chose the oyster course with all-you-can-drink option. Despite the strong wind that day, I dined on the terrace overlooking the Nakagawa River in Nakasu. The view from the 5th floor was beautiful, especially as the sun set. The course included a salad, a selection of 3 types of fresh oysters, 2 types of baked oysters (you could choose from options like plain, gratin, garlic herb, sea urchin cream), oyster ajillo, oyster and chips, oyster cream pasta, and dessert. The selection of fresh oysters included varieties from Iwate, Miyagi, and Hyogo prefectures, all of which were delicious and full of flavor. The baked oysters were my favorite, especially the gratin style. The oyster ajillo was flavorful, and the oyster and chips were crispy and tasty. The oyster cream pasta was rich and creamy, pairing well with drinks. I also added a lobster with garlic butter before dessert, which was a delightful treat. The staff even showed us the live lobster before cooking it. Despite being full, I enjoyed every bite until the end. Thank you for the delicious meal.

During my stay at GW, I visited this restaurant on the 5th floor. From inside the restaurant, you can overlook the Naka River and the lively atmosphere of the food stalls, allowing you to experience the atmosphere of Hakata. The fresh oysters and delicious lobster were very satisfying! The meat was incredibly tender and delicious! I had a wonderful and luxurious time. The terrace seats seem very pleasant for the upcoming season. I would like to try the terrace seats or have lunch there next time!

I was recommended to visit this place and I went there with the intention of trying the garlic rice. However, I ended up trying the lobster and other dishes as well. The overall seasoning was a bit strong. It seemed like the dishes were made to pair well with alcohol, but since we don't drink, it felt a bit too intense for us. The garlic rice was delicious, especially when eaten with the broth.

I was curious about this restaurant that I could see through the glass from the street, so I visited for the first time! Although I can't drink alcohol, my friend who loves wine said that even the glass wine was of good quality. The teppanyaki was great, and as the name of the restaurant suggests, the oysters and lobster were both excellent in terms of size and taste!

I used it for my wife's birthday dinner. The quality of taste and presentation was high from the appetizers to the main course, and I was very satisfied. The speed of service was fast, so I was able to enjoy the meal without getting bored. It's definitely a store I want to visit again.

I went to Royster in Haruyoshi!! My partner and I had the 100g rare Hakkata Wagyu steak for 1000 yen each. The location is on the 5th floor of a new building just across Haruyoshi Bridge from Nakasu. The interior of the restaurant is very stylish, making me feel a bit embarrassed in my sandals. We arrived around 12:30 pm, and there were about 8-10 customers inside and on the terrace. The terrace looked like a great spot for beer in the summer. Since the terrace was full, we sat at a table inside. We ordered the Hakkata Wagyu steak and a draft beer for a total of 1300 yen. The steak arrived in just 10 minutes and looked delicious. It was tender and flavorful. We had the option to choose from different seasonings like salt, truffle salt, garlic chips, wasabi, soy sauce, and Japanese sauce. We enjoyed trying out different flavors. My favorite was wasabi, while my partner preferred the Japanese sauce. The view from the restaurant was also amazing. They also serve lobster and fresh oysters at night, which I look forward to trying next time. The steak lunch menu is about to change soon, so I'm excited to see what they offer next. I'll definitely be back for dinner next time!

Near the Haruyoshi Bridge, there is a steak restaurant. I decided to try it out after seeing a lunch menu placed on the street as I passed by. The word "limited" is like magic, isn't it? (laughs) There used to be a famous sushi restaurant with a prominent turmeric object around here, but I think it was rebuilt. When you take the elevator to the 5th floor, you enter a stylish space. I bet the night view is beautiful. As soon as I entered, I asked, "Can I still have the lunch limited to 20 servings?" (^◇^;) Being an older lady, I don't hesitate to enter even in a stylish restaurant. (laughs) There is also a terrace, and there was a customer there before me. The steak is carefully cooked on an iron plate. The steak lunch allows you to choose the weight in grams, so I chose 100g. You can also have seconds of miso soup and rice. (1,000 yen including tax) According to the store page, it uses "Hakata Wagyu lean meat." When I asked about the cut, it was "thigh meat." Since it's thigh meat, it has a bit of chewiness, but for this price, it's quite good. It is served with stir-fried bean sprouts. In addition to sauce, they provide "garlic chips" and several types of salt. The cross-section of the meat looks beautiful. The rice is shiny and delicious. The 100g of miso soup was just right for me. For this price, I can't ask for more, but I would be happy if it came with "pickles."

Cost performance◎ I went to the 5th floor of a newly built building at the corner of Haruyoshi Bridge, to the Roycester Nakasu store, where the lunch sign had been up for 2-3 days and caught my attention! They had Hachikawa Wagyu lean steak for 1000 yen, with unlimited rice and miso soup. I was skeptical about it being true, but decided to check it out! It's located across from the pachinko parlor Tamaya. The interior of the restaurant is very stylish, with glass walls offering a view of the Nakasu River, making it seem like a great spot for the evening as well. They also have a terrace, which I imagine would be perfect in the upcoming season. For lunch, they only offer lean steak in either 100 grams for 1000 yen or 200 grams for 2000 yen!! I think the juice was 300 yen? I ordered the 100-gram steak, which was being cooked on a hot plate by the chef. I even saw him flambe for the first time, which was impressive. Let's dig in. The steak came with truffle salt, rock salt, garlic chips, wasabi, soy sauce, and Japanese sauce. It seemed like a fun variety of flavors. I started with just the salt... so tender!! As I chewed, the taste of Wagyu spread in my mouth!! The other sauces were also great. The wasabi soy sauce and Japanese sauce went really well with the rice! I finished half of the meat and went for seconds on rice and miso soup. It was so delicious and satisfying!! The 1000 yen was definitely worth it. It seems like they also serve lobster and oysters at night, so I might go with my girlfriend next time. Thanks for the meal! I'll be back soon!!

This was my second visit to this restaurant, which had just opened in October. There were some new staff members, but overall the atmosphere was very welcoming and open. Despite being late at night and the only customers there, we felt comfortable and were warmly welcomed. Compared to my first visit, the oysters were slightly less cold this time, and the warm oysters had shells that were quite hot, so a little explanation would have been helpful. It would also be nice to know where the oysters come from and to have some additional information provided when the dishes are served. This is just a suggestion, but I think it would add value to the experience. I felt that this restaurant is one that I would like to visit again, as they seem to be putting effort into developing new dishes and there is always something interesting on the menu.

Springy, cost-effective teppanyaki at Shunyoshi, with a modern twist at Roister. The interior is perfect for Instagram-worthy photos. Lunch is convenient and offers good quality meat, but having almost conquered Fukuoka's high-end teppanyaki scene, this place falls a bit short in terms of satisfaction.
