Today is Cassis Day. I really like cassis... Cassis sherbet, cassis soda, I love that sourness. Cassis is a fruit harvested in midsummer and July 23, which corresponds to "Taisho" on the calendar, has been designated as "Cassis Day" by the Japan Cassis Association. And today is Marine Day. Surprisingly, the restaurants in Muroran, Shikabe, and surrounding areas were all full. Finally, I managed to get into this restaurant. Well, it's my first time eating at a restaurant around here, so I'm happy. By the way, on the "Traveling and Hot Springs in Hokkaido" show on the CS Travel Channel, I went to Shikabe Onsen. I even met Oguri Cap...!!! I wonder what place I'll be today? If the photos look delicious, please click the "↓" button!! ⇒ Try clicking it once!! I leave it to you. Today, I had a meeting with the staff to reflect on the Obihiro shoot and discuss tomorrow's plans. So, I left the ordering to the staff. If there's something I really want to eat, I'll mention it later. But since it's an izakaya menu, I'm sure I can eat anything that comes, so it's probably best to eat here. Oh, if I have room in my stomach later, I'd like to try the ramen. But if I do go, I'd like to go to a ramen shop. But that's not certain, so eating here might be the best option. No matter what, if I have room in my stomach later, I'll consider it. Kushikatsu. There seem to be a lot of horse racing people around here. The restaurant was quite busy. So they probably open early and close early. There might not be many places that serve kushikatsu around here. The menu had a variety of options. As the name suggests, it's a kushikatsu place, so there were a lot of skewered dishes. Of course, there were chicken skewers, as well as vegetable skewers. I left the ordering to the staff after just looking at the menu. It was a surprise to see what would come out. The appetizer was macaroni salad. I was really thirsty. At times like this, I didn't crave beer, but cola. Ah, I really wanted a beer... but it didn't happen. The appetizer was macaroni salad. It looked like homemade? It reminded me of something I've seen at the supermarket. Bacon-wrapped asparagus. I took a sneaky photo, so it didn't come out properly. Asparagus wrapped in bacon. The bacon flavor stood out. The main focus was on the bacon, not the asparagus. Miso hormone. This hormone is from beef. The miso flavor was sweet and I liked it. If there was white rice, it could be a set meal. Personally, I quite liked it and ended up eating a lot of it. What is this? The correct answer is a fish called "Yakaku." It's a fish that's not often eaten outside of Hokkaido because it's fast. Yakaku is not the official name, but the formal name is "Tokubire." The name Yakaku comes from the fact that it has large fins, especially the dorsal and anal fins. Yakaku is a very distinctive-looking fish and quite impactful. By the way, this fish was delicious, with a good balance of fat and a refreshing taste. Yakaku itself, I haven't eaten it in a long time. Tare zangi. There were three types of zangi. This is tare zangi. When it comes to tare, Kushiro is famous. This one had a pretty sweet sauce. Harasu skewer. Lightly seasoned with soy sauce. It had a lot of fat. This with white rice would be the best combination. I'd love to have some harasu rice. Vegetable and meat roll skewer assortment. Various skewers came out. There was leek, cheese, lettuce, tomato, and what was that... I think the meat and vegetables are both main ingredients here. But when it's skewered, each piece is quite substantial. Skewered meat assortment. Some ingredients were recognizable, others weren't. The ones we recognized were eaten, the ones we didn't know were left untouched. We couldn't tell if it was potatoes or meat. But in the end, we ate everything, but all the answers were wrong. Unagi nigiri. The only thing I ordered was the unagi nigiri. It looked delicious... but it was cold. The sauce was a bit off.
