You can eat eel at this izakaya! I found it on Tabelog because all my usual eel restaurants were closed. It's a surprising izakaya with a wide variety of menu items, including whale meat! I ordered the eel rice bowl, but it took a while, so I had bone senbei (sauce flavor) as an appetizer, which was a perfect match. The rice portion was large (in my case), so I was satisfied after two highballs. Next time, I'll just order the broiled eel. The meal also came with pickles and a matsutake mushroom soup for 2000 yen. Thank you for the delicious meal, I'll come back again!

The restaurant is delicious for a local place, but I wish the cost performance was better. Every time I go, I can't help but think that prices should be lower compared to Osaka city or downtown. Sharing sashimi, grilled eel, etc., the cost per person is around 5,000 yen. Local sake is also in the 1,000 yen range. So, it can add up quickly per person. Especially after COVID, I wonder if they changed their suppliers.

A little late, but it's the midsummer day of the ox! At "Unabu" in Higashiosaka, in Higashiyama-cho, I ordered the special grade eel for 3000 yen, while my wife had the regular grade for 2600 yen. Both were generous portions of delicious eel. The eel was tender and crispy, creating a perfect harmony of flavors. You won't find eel this good at such a reasonable price in Osaka city.

I ordered a variety of appetizers from the izakaya for a shorter time due to the state of emergency. The amount and variety were sufficient for snacks, and the seasoning was delicious. The ingredients were of good quality and the presentation was beautiful, with sashimi included. At 2,500 yen, it was a great deal! It was just right for two people to eat.
