My nephew from Hiroshima came to visit. He has grown taller and his voice has changed since I last saw him a few years ago. When I asked him what he wanted for dinner, he said, "Monja!" So we went to Monja Kushi Katsu Himawari in Esaka. We ordered two M-sized monja and they were delicious. One had whole camembert cheese in it, which made it creamy and rich. The other one had corn, bacon, and red pickled ginger, giving it a punch of flavor. The process of cooking monja was quick and easy at this restaurant, and the food was satisfying. It's a convenient place to eat near the station. Thank you for the meal, Monja Kushi Katsu Himawari in Esaka!

Suddenly I felt like eating monjayaki. I ordered with the classic toppings of mochi, cheese, mentaiko, and Baby Star. While eating kushikatsu and tebasaki, I waited for the monjayaki to be ready... It was the best! Reasonable price, delicious food! And the staff's service was great. I will definitely come back again! Thank you for the meal.

Last night's dinner, my daughter requested an unexpected dish - Monjayaki. Since she had never tried Monja before coming to Osaka, we went to Himawari near Esaka Station where we had a delicious meal before. The Monja we ordered had mochi, cheese, mentaiko, and Baby Star in a sauce flavor. It seemed like she really enjoyed her first Monja experience as she kept eating in silence (laughs). This restaurant offers a great deal with a set menu for 3,500 yen and a highball all-you-can-drink option for 880 yen, making it very cost-effective.

On Saturday nights, there's Monja Kushikatsu Himawari. It's a rare place in Osaka that serves both monja-yaki and kushikatsu. The 120-minute all-you-can-drink option for 880 yen is very appealing. I tried the monja with mochi, mentaiko, cheese, and Baby Star noodles in sauce flavor. It might be the most delicious monja I've ever had. Thank you for the meal! (*´艸`*)

I had Monja and Kushikatsu. The Kushikatsu had big ingredients and was satisfying to eat! The Monja was cooked on a hot plate for about 1 minute before we could start eating, and I chose the sauce flavor. I thought the sauce could be a bit stronger in flavor!

Everything was delicious, but it was a little expensive... I guess it's understandable considering the location.

I'm happy that I could eat monjayaki in Osaka. The staff cooked it for me and the taste was good. However, I wish they would clean a little more thoroughly. The menus and tables were sticky from the beginning, and the mirrors on the walls were foggy.

This is a new kushikatsu restaurant on the 3rd floor of a building on the west side of the subway Esaka Station. They offer lunch, so take the elevator to visit. When you get off the elevator, the restaurant is on your left. Inside, there are counter seats and table seats. The lunch menu ranges from 700 yen (excluding tax) to 880 yen, with 7 options available from Monday to Saturday from 11:30 to 14:30. I chose the "Kushikatsu Lunch" for 850 yen (tax included). It comes with a selection of 7 kushikatsu items, such as onion, lotus root, pumpkin, quail egg, wiener, pork, and beef. The sauce served generously in a dish allows for "double dipping." The light sauce enhances the flavors of the kushikatsu. The thin coating and good oil make the ingredients stand out. It's a delicious kushikatsu experience. The meal includes rice, red miso soup, pickles, and a side dish. The side dish, a flavorful eggplant with plenty of green onions, was delicious. Kushikatsu restaurants offer tasty and affordable lunches. In the evening, they also offer over 20 varieties of monjayaki, which seems intriguing. 2016.8.4
