【Tototo Namba, Osaka】A newly opened restaurant in Queens Court 1F in July 2023. Highly recommended for fish and sake lovers, so it's a must-visit. You can order dishes a la carte or as a course. This time, we ordered a la carte: - Assorted sashimi (salmon, sea bream, bluefin tuna, sea urchin, conger eel) - Cherry shrimp cream croquette - Softshell turtle & shark fin spring roll - Red sweet potato tempura - Seafood salad - Bonito and bluefin tuna straw-grilled - Grilled Kyoto duck - Boiled asparagus with salt - Lin SPF pork with ginger sauce - Abalone teppanyaki - Matsutake mushroom steamed in a pot - Matsutake mushroom, salmon, and salmon roe rice in a pot - Red miso soup The menu is extensive and all the dishes are appealing. The appetizers alone made us realize that this restaurant was a great choice. The sashimi assortment included sea urchin from Hokkaido, Shinshu salmon from Nagano, bluefin tuna from Nagasaki, Densuke conger eel from Nagasaki, and mandarin sea bream from Ehime, showing a commitment to sourcing from specific regions. The straw-grilling process was fascinating to watch, and the unique aroma made it irresistible. The effort put into each dish was evident, making supermarket bonito tataki seem inadequate. The softshell turtle & shark fin spring roll was exquisite, and we were shown a video of the softshell turtle being prepared, which made us appreciate the time and effort that went into it. Additionally, we were served chestnuts simmered in their skins, which were also meticulously prepared and incredibly delicious. Although we indulged in many dishes, they were all superb. It's hard to choose a favorite, but the sashimi assortment, straw-grilled dish, and rice in a pot were exceptional. The drink selection is extensive, especially for sake and rare spirits. Whiskies like Hakushu, Yamazaki, Hibiki, and Macallan, as well as wines like Opus One 2019 and Overture, will delight any alcohol enthusiast. In addition to set courses, you can create your own original course based on price and preferred ingredients, adding to the restaurant's charm. The rice in a pot we had was a combination of matsutake mushrooms and salmon, a choice we couldn't make, so they combined them for us. With 15 counter seats and 16 table seats, the spacious and elegant atmosphere of the restaurant is perfect for any occasion, whether it's a date or a girls' night out. The staff were all friendly, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. We've already made a reservation for our next visit and can't wait to return. On September 23, 2023, in Osaka, at Shinsaibashi, I was invited by @xchiro.tuyux to the newly opened restaurant, Tototo, where you can enjoy teppanyaki and seafood. We had the chef's special course and it was exciting to wonder what would come next. The performance of bonito straw grilling was fun to watch and delicious to eat. It was a very satisfying dining experience. I can't wait to go back! - Appetizers: • Sea bream with yolk sushi • Amberjack simmered in broth • Chestnuts in astringent skin • Fried maple leaf gluten - Sashimi: • Shinshu salmon • Medium fatty tuna • Spear squid • Densuke conger eel • Mandarin fish - Matsutake mushroom steamed in a pot was so exciting and the taste was amazing. - Bonito straw grilling performance followed by the bonito grilling. It was impressive. - Lotus root steamed bun with a gentle dashi flavor. - Ratatouille of free-range chicken and summer vegetables. - Spring rolls with soft-shelled turtle and shark fin, with plenty of collagen. - Teppanyaki of Amakusa black beef tendon with red wine sauce and wasabi. - Sea urchin and silver vinegared rice tea pickles, which turned into a vinegared rice tea stew with a delicious dashi flavor. The vinegar rice was slightly sour, which was nice. - Poached pear compote with lemon sherbet for dessert. A refreshing dessert that wasn't heavy. I left the restaurant full and completely satisfied! Can't wait to go back! ☺️ #Tototo #TototoShinsaibashi #TototoShinsaibashi #FishCharcoalIronPlate #OsakaGourmet #OsakaIzakaya #ShinsaibashiGourmet #ShinsaibashiDinner #BonitoStrawGrilling #BonitoTataki #NambaGourmet #OsakaNipponbashiGourmet #HiddenRestaurant #HiddenIzakaya

Fish, charcoal, and iron plate... The newly opened restaurant in Queens Court Building in Shinsaibashi offers creative dishes using fish and meat, as well as dishes cooked with charcoal and straw. The experience starts with a warm welcome. We ordered a variety of dishes a la carte, starting with appetizers. The sashimi platter was beautiful and delicious, featuring tuna, sea urchin, conger eel, squid, red sea bream, amberjack, and salmon. The bonito charcoal grilling was a sight to see, with the staff preparing it right in front of us. The highlight was the rare tuna cutlet and angel shrimp fry. The tuna cutlet was cooked rare and topped with tartar sauce, absolutely delicious. We couldn't resist ordering more dishes like eel, seafood yukhoe, abalone teppanyaki, and Lin SPF pork teppanyaki. Each dish was a delight, especially the abalone teppanyaki with its perfect sauce and mushrooms. The Lin SPF pork sauce was divine. We also ordered silver rice pot rice, salmon and salmon roe rice pot rice, and finished with a recommended steamed dish. The rice pot rice was incredibly delicious, and we ended up having about 2 servings each. From start to finish, it was a delightful dining experience. The staff, especially the chef, made the experience even more enjoyable. I believe this restaurant will become very popular in no time! Thank you to the chef and staff for the wonderful meal!

I highly recommend this place in Shinsaibashi, it's a hidden gem izakaya in Soemon-cho. Located in a mixed-use building, the restaurant has a cozy and welcoming atmosphere with both counter and table seating. They offer a variety of dishes including courses and a la carte options, all made with seasonal ingredients such as meat and fish. A must-try is their specialty "Straw-grilled" dish, which is incredibly flavorful and aromatic. From the appetizers to the sushi, everything was delicious and of high quality. The owner is friendly and the staff provides excellent service. The overall dining experience was top-notch and definitely worth a visit before it becomes too popular.

A sophisticated adult izakaya where you can enjoy carefully selected ingredients prepared with special cooking methods. They have a straw-grilled section for the exquisite bonito straw-grilled dish. You can also indulge in seafood dishes using fish delivered directly from the fishing port, as well as teppanyaki with Japanese beef and branded pork, and charcoal-grilled seasonal vegetables and locally sourced chicken. This upscale restaurant opened in July and offers a la carte or course menu options. I chose the 10-course omakase menu for 8,800 yen, which included dishes like tomato jelly, eel liver simmered in soy sauce, grilled conger eel, steamed conger eel and matsutake mushroom, bonito straw-grilled dish, lotus root bun, charcoal-grilled locally sourced chicken, deep-fried softshell turtle spring roll, teppanyaki with Amakusa black beef ribeye, sea urchin with rice and lemon sherbet for dessert. The variety of dishes was delicious and the cost performance was excellent. I especially enjoyed the sashimi. Definitely worth a visit! In July, I had dinner at the newly opened Toto-san, enjoying a relaxed atmosphere for adults. The 10-course meal costs 8,000 yen (excluding tax) and includes dishes such as eggplant miso, eel liver, and pickled conger eel. The chef personally sources ingredients like Amakusa black beef for dishes like ribeye steak. The restaurant offers sushi options based on customer requests and budget. With a great atmosphere and attention to detail, this place seems to be gaining popularity. The food was delicious, thank you for the wonderful meal!

Hidden gem in the back of a building in Osaka's Shinsaibashi area, a very satisfying new Japanese restaurant. The interior is clean and pristine, making it suitable for business meetings, dates, or any occasion. They offer a 10-course meal for 8,000 yen (excluding tax), as well as individual dishes. Today, I opted for the course menu. Appetizers included eggplant dengaku, grilled eel liver, and pickled conger eel. The sashimi platter featured grilled conger eel with yuzu, frosty orange, red snapper, amberjack, Shinshu salmon, swordtip squid, and caviar. All were of high quality, with the frosty orange red snapper being a personal favorite. The steamed dish included conger eel, matsutake mushrooms, shrimp, ginkgo nuts, and wheat gluten. The straw-grilled bluefin tuna tataki was prepared live at the counter, with thick slices and excellent service. Other dishes included lotus root manju, grilled Shiitake mushrooms and locally sourced chicken with truffle sauce, snapping turtle and shark fin spring rolls, and a delicious Amakusa Black Beef ribeye steak. A unique dish was the tea-pickled sushi rice with sea urchin, followed by a homemade lemon sherbet and pear compote for dessert. The portions were generous, and the chef even asked if it was too much, showing a high level of service and dedication to quality. A hidden gem indeed, highly recommended!

I went to a restaurant that opened on July 20th, which serves fish, charcoal, and iron plate dishes. Located in the back building of Queens Court, this place offers a luxurious course meal called "Chef's Special Course" for 8,800 yen. Here are some of the dishes I tried: - White wine tomato jelly with shrimp and avocado - Mugwort gluten jelly - Assorted sashimi with fatty tuna, flounder, amberjack, and cured mackerel - Steamed anglerfish and matsutake mushrooms in a pot - Bonito salt-seared tataki with special dressing - Tempura anglerfish with plum and salt - Grilled Amakusa black beef sirloin from Kumamoto with red wine sauce - Morning-ground Kagoshima chicken grilled on magnolia leaves - Lotus root bun with shrimp and minced meat sauce - Lemon sherbet with peach white wine compote The chef uses carefully selected ingredients and skillful techniques to create these delicious dishes. The sashimi was fresh and had a nice texture, while the anglerfish tempura was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The grilled chicken had a nice saltiness, and the black beef was tender and flavorful. The dessert was also delightful, with a peach white wine compote that was refreshing and not too sweet. Overall, I had a great dining experience at this restaurant. The chef's attention to detail and the freshness of the ingredients really stood out. The staff were also friendly and provided excellent service. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a unique and delicious dining experience. Be sure to check it out!

Katsuo straw-grilled is a specialty here. I had reserved a course of 10 dishes. First, cheers with beer and a Red Eye cocktail! Appetizers included squid with perilla leaf sauce, tender octopus, and kinako-coated wheat gluten. The appetizers all went well with sake. The sashimi platter included swordfish, sea urchin, medium fatty tuna, flounder, and amberjack with caviar. The steamed dish had matsutake mushrooms, conger eel, and shrimp in a delicious broth. The tempura assortment featured matsutake mushrooms, scallops, shrimp, and myoga ginger. The highlight was the renowned Katsuo straw-grilled from Wakayama, served with onion dressing salad. Fried figs in broth were a unique and tasty dish. The teppanyaki chicken had a flavorful punch. The Amakusa beef steak with Ban Rouge sauce was succulent and paired well with wasabi. Corn rice, red miso soup, and side dishes were all delicious. Dessert was lemon sherbet with peach compote. The portion sizes of the sake were generous and reasonably priced. The spacious counter seating allowed for a comfortable dining experience. Thank you for the meal.

Opened on July 20, 2023, the shop has a large counter and four table seats, creating a calm and sophisticated atmosphere. We ordered the 10-course meal course (recommended 10 dishes of the day) for 8000 yen. The dishes included: - Appetizer: Beautiful and delicious appetizers always get you excited. - Assorted sashimi: A luxurious sashimi platter with caviar and a sweet soy sauce from Kyushu. - Bonito straw-grilled (salted with mustard): Tried salted bonito for the first time and it was delicious. - Lotus root manju: A comforting dish with delicious broth. - Charcoal-grilled morning-pulled chicken (ratatouille): A dish made with Kyoto's local chicken. - Lin SPF pork belly stew: Everyone's favorite Lin SPF pork. - Conger eel tempura: A dish perfect for the late summer season. - Amakusa black beef sirloin: A visually appealing dish with delicious sauce and meat. - Corn rice in a clay pot with red miso soup: Finishing with clay pot rice and red miso soup is the best. - Lemon sherbet and fruit tomato in rosé wine: Refreshing lemon sherbet and fruit tomato in rosé wine. It was a very satisfying 10-course meal. The restaurant also offers à la carte options, making it a very versatile adult izakaya. With a menu ranging from delicious sushi and sashimi to carefully selected meats, I believe that anyone with any preference will be satisfied. Thank you for the feast!

This is a hidden gem Japanese restaurant in Namba where you can enjoy seafood and teppanyaki. It opened on July 20th last month, so the restaurant is filled with freshness. The chef's skills are quite impressive, evident in his knife work and customer service. I decided to visit this casual restaurant to relax and enjoy a leisurely meal. I was drawn to this place after seeing the searing scene of their "straw-grilled bonito" on a certain website. I love bonito, so I had to go. I opted for the luxurious course menu that includes recommended dishes. The lineup of the course was fantastic, featuring appetizers, steamed dishes, sashimi, straw-grilled bonito, teppanyaki abalone, tempura, and teppanyaki Kumamoto red beef steak. Each dish was beautifully presented and delicious, showcasing the chef's expertise. The fresh wasabi grated right in front of us was a delightful touch. The straw-grilled bonito was a standout, with a perfect balance of smokiness and tenderness. The teppanyaki abalone with truffle cream sauce was a decadent treat. The tempura of bonito and matsutake mushrooms was perfectly crispy. And the Kumamoto red beef steak was cooked to perfection and served with a rich red wine sauce. Overall, it was a memorable dining experience that I highly recommend.

Today, I visited a hidden gem Japanese dining spot in the Shinsaibashi and Namba area called "Uo to Sumi to Teppan to". In a nutshell, it's an adult space. The atmosphere inside the restaurant gives off a hidden gem vibe, making you feel sophisticated just by knowing about this place. It would be cool to bring a date here... it also has a smart vibe for a little bit of entertaining. The menu is also attractive, with a variety of seafood, teppanyaki, and creative Japanese dishes. We had fried fig, a sashimi platter, shark fin and softshell turtle spring rolls, straw-grilled bluefin tuna, and duck teppanyaki. Everything was fantastic! There are too many other dishes I want to try. I'll have to come back again for sure.

I recently visited the newly opened restaurant "Tototo". I had dishes such as spring rolls with softshell turtle and shark fin, SPF pork stew, red haruka sweet potato tempura, Lin SPF pork, grilled cod roe, silver scallop rice cooked in a clay pot, and red miso soup. All the dishes were delicious, and the atmosphere of the restaurant was friendly and relaxed. I was particularly impressed by the SPF pork, which was tender and easy to eat without the typical pork taste. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Recently, my favorite izakaya in Osaka♡ Even though it seems like it just opened recently, I've only been there twice. It's a bit hidden in a building, but once you go inside, it's surprisingly spacious and stylish, with a calming atmosphere. The warm lighting is also nice♡ It's located in Shinsaibashi, so I think it's a perfect place for a date. The staff are friendly and the ambiance is great. I went there both times on weekday nights and there were quite a few customers. The food is delicious no matter what you order, especially the straw-grilled and teppanyaki SPF pork were amazing! The corn rice at the end is like a dream...♡ I wonder what the hot pot rice next month will be likeーー
