At this time of year, eel restaurants are very busy! I went to Edogawa in Shinsaibashi Parco. When I entered at 5:30, it was empty, but after 30 minutes it was packed with Chinese tourists. Inbound tourism is back. The streets of Osaka are full of foreigners.

There aren't many options in the heart of Shinsaibashi for a nutritious meal under 1000 yen during dinner time. When I feel like I haven't had enough vegetables by lunchtime and want to eat fish at night, I always come here. You can also enjoy the view of Shinsaibashi from the 10th floor of Parco.

Strolling around Shinsaibashi Daimaru and Parco, I decided to drop in for a visit. I ordered the Mini Ohitashi set for ¥2800 (tax included) and the Tempura Assortment Basket for ¥1900 (tax included). The food was gentle in flavor, with a wide variety of dishes and generous portions, all at a reasonable price. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was quiet, elegant, and calm, allowing me to enjoy my meal at a leisurely pace.

I was running late from work and arrived at the restaurant just 5-10 minutes before last order. They kindly accepted us and we were able to dine in. I ordered a mini set with tempura, sashimi, and small dishes, along with a chawanmushi. Others in my group ordered eel on rice with eel rolls. The tempura had a slightly thick batter but overall tasted good, although a bit pricey. Unfortunately, the eel in the eel rice dish was a bit burnt, which was disappointing. Perhaps it was because we arrived close to last order.

I had some errands near Parco, so I invited a friend and we had lunch there! I had been wanting to go there since the last time I came for shopping. The lunch was quite a deal! For around 2000 to 3000 yen, you can enjoy delicious eel, which was surprisingly affordable! A great price that housewives would be happy about! The eel was fluffy and deliciously hot. The dishes were very satisfying! The tamagoyaki (omelette) was also fluffy and delicious! It seems like a nice place to sit outside and eat too! I definitely want to go back for lunch at this restaurant! Lunch in Shinsaibashi. Visited the newly renovated Shinsaibashi Parco for the first time. Had eel at Edogawa-san, which came with a complimentary drink. I chose a non-alcoholic beer. The eel and sashimi were delicious! Depending on where you sit, you might get a seat with a beautiful view.

Ordered the slightly tipsy set for 1,800 yen. Added a beer and a highball, totaling around 3,300 yen per person. The set came with plenty of snacks and the beer was well maintained and delicious. Even though it's the same Asahi Super Dry, it can taste completely different depending on the maintenance at the restaurant. The service was excellent and the view was nice, making for a pleasant dining experience.

One evening, I visited a restaurant on the 13th floor of Shinsaibashi Parco that serves eel dishes. A while back, a friend sent me a photo of an eel dish they had eaten together for lunch, which made me curious. I happened to be near Tanimachi 4-chome, so I decided to walk over to this place. Since I visited in the evening, there were no other customers at the time. I had the freedom to choose my seat, so I chose a counter seat by the window with a nice view. I ordered the Special Eel Bowl for 5000 yen and a Super Dry draft beer for 600 yen. The Special Eel Bowl came with 1.5 eels, liver, pickles, and roasted green tea. The eel in the bowl was plentiful, and the grilled eel had a subtle and elegant sauce. It was delicious with a delicate and flavorful taste. I enjoyed my meal while looking out into the distance and was very satisfied. However, the fact that the sansho pepper came in a small packet felt a bit cheap. The restaurant is named Edogawa, and despite thinking it was a Tokyo-based eel restaurant, it actually has no locations in Kanto and only 8 locations in Kinki.

Today we went on an expedition to Shinsaibashi again! A couple who loves eel, we were in the mood for eel today! When we ordered the Hitsumabushi set, it came with a chawanmushi. We didn't notice it at first, but I think chawanmushi is a service for weekday lunches? The eel is the Kanto style, so it's steamed to be plump, a bit different from the crispy Nagoya Hitsumabushi, but still delicious! It tastes even better with condiments added! Eel and wasabi go well together, don't they? The chawanmushi is usually an additional 250 yen, so the service is a good deal! At Daimaru, they only have eel dishes, but at Parco, they also have other Japanese dishes, and you can order eel rolls too! You can't order eel rolls for lunch at the Daimaru eel restaurant, just so you know. It was a weekday lunch in October, after the state of emergency was lifted, but Parco's restaurant area was empty. Suzu-P will continue to dine out to support restaurants! We'll be back again, thanks for the meal!

At Daimaru for lunch! What do you want to eat? As I got off the escalator, I saw eel right in front of me! Alright! I ordered a whole eel! It's rare to order with a mobile device at an eel restaurant! As expected. Delicious!

Honestly, I have never really paid attention to whether the eel dish I had was Kansai-style or Kanto-style at a restaurant (laughs). I usually enjoy eel through the "hometown tax" system. I made a reservation through this site, and it came with a complimentary dish (tempura), which was lucky! The eel was tender and the sauce was delicious, but the rice was a bit dry and lacked my preference. It might be intentionally like that for eel rice bowls... I'm sorry. For lunch, it also comes with chawanmushi, so for 1,800 yen including tax, it seems like a good deal. The view is also nice here.

The threshold of the eel restaurant was high, so I had trouble getting in, but today I finally decided to go with someone who helped me. There was a lunch set available, but I chose the unagi served in a wooden box because it came with free chawanmushi. The eel was fluffy and generously fatty, very delicious. The sauce was not too strong, with a light taste that I personally liked. Although you can change the flavor twice with unagi, I personally didn't feel the need to, after trying unagi in a wooden box for the first time. It was delicious though... The liver dish was also included, which made me happy. I felt like having some sake, but unfortunately, there was a ban on alcohol consumption. The chawanmushi had an elegant taste and was delicious. When I can drink again, I would like to have eel with sake for a more mature dining experience. Thank you for the meal.

Shinsaibashi ◇ Unagi ◇ [Chuo-ku, Shinsaibashi-suji 1-chome] Edo River Shinsaibashi Parco store, which opened on the 13th floor of Shinsaibashi PARCO on January 21st, entered on a holiday at 11:27 without a reservation. The store can accommodate about 50 people, and there were no previous customers. I was guided to a 4-person table near the window on the east side (the spacious and new interior feels great). Instead of eel and beer, I started with cold sake to avoid getting too full. ◆ O-Hitsu Mabushi (3,300 yen) (a substantial amount of rice) ◆ U-maki (1,000 yen) (it's big, drizzle with the special sauce) ■ Ikki Mono (Imo Rock) (served in a generous portion) My companion ordered a sushi set instead of eel and enjoyed some cold sake while waiting. The food was served in 10 minutes, and when the lid of the o-hitsu was opened, the savory smell of eel stimulated my appetite. I poured the first cup into a teacup and enjoyed it as it was (light and refreshing with eel and seaweed). For the second cup, I added white onions for a change of taste (no sansho pepper). For the third cup, I added wasabi and poured in some dashi. I have my own unique way of eating, breaking up the liver with liver suction (liver suction mabushi is excellent). Orders can be placed by scanning the QR code with your phone. Since there were no other customers, I raised my hand and ordered verbally (later, two groups of three people came in, but they were seated far away, so it didn't bother me at all). They offer not only eel but also sushi, teppanyaki, and Japanese set meals. I wish they had more variety of cold sake. I left the restaurant feeling full and satisfied. "Thank you for the meal."

After the movie, we had a light meal. It was almost full because it was the midsummer day of the ox. It's especially hot this year, so it's a power charge! I like chawanmushi, so I added it and had it with plum wine soda.

Today I ate eel! I decided on it after waking up haha it was so delicious!

Volume was full and the food was delicious!

The food is crispy but not very thick. The service is polite and allows for a leisurely dining experience.

Family visit to Edogawa at Shinsaibashi Parco. The plump eel rolls, flavorful hitsumabushi, and dry Japanese sake were all exquisite. We enjoyed them very much! 😊👍

I had a lot of shopping bags, so I decided to eat at PARCO. It was not crowded, which was good. The taste was average.
