At lunchtime on weekdays, there was already a long line at the restaurant on the same floor, but I was able to get in easily here. I ordered the weekday lunch special. The rice was unexpectedly deliciously cooked. It was nice that you could get seconds of salad. The dishes weren't super delicious, but I could enjoy the natural flavors of the ingredients. Since they're not fried, it seems like a good option for when you want a healthy lunch.

The slow turnover at this restaurant may be due to the fact that they offer freshly baked items or because they have a small staff. It can be frustrating to wait in line as it doesn't seem to move quickly. During lunchtime, the restaurant floor at Hankyu Department Store gets crowded. Recently, there have been a lot of foreign customers as well. On this day, I had the special lunch deal available only on weekdays. It was just the right amount to leave you feeling satisfied but not overly full, which explains why it's popular among older customers. While there were no standout dishes, the lunch was sufficient for everyday dining. With only one chef, one pantry staff, and one server, increasing the number of chefs could help speed up the service. I would like to visit again if there are available seats.

I went to Hankyu Umeda Department Store before taking the Shinkansen, planning to buy some sweets, but I accidentally ended up at a different department store. It was chaotic in the basement food section, and every restaurant was fully booked. I asked my friend for recommendations, but all the suggested places had long lines. Eventually, I decided to try Kujiyaki-Teppanyaki-Wine Kyusho-Tei, where surprisingly there was no line. I was lucky to find a lunch menu, so I ordered the seasonal lunch set. The rice and salad were refillable, and I also enjoyed the freshly fried skewers, including yakisoba sandwiched in between. The asparagus and pork steak were delicious too. I even watched foreigners making okonomiyaki at the counter, which was quite innovative. It's a good thing I didn't end up being a lunch refugee during Golden Week. I also had some drinks, even though I had been avoiding alcohol since yesterday. I made a note to visit Daniel's Canele Lukuwa Umeda Daimaru and Kihachisouhonpo's Mitarashi Dango, which a taxi driver recommended to me. I would like to try Sabrina at Hanshin Umeda next time!

I went to this restaurant for the first time for lunch. It originally seemed like an izakaya-style place, so the lunch menu seemed to go well with alcohol, and each dish was freshly made and satisfying. The salad and rice were all-you-can-eat, and the salad was so delicious that I could have eaten as many bowls as I wanted. Just when I thought it was over, they brought out ice cream at the end. Thank you for the meal.

The previous location of Kyochabana has been replaced by an open front restaurant, with a counter facing the aisle, giving a narrow impression. However, this new place has a comfortable amount of seating. The grilled skewers were delicious, but the appetizers, rice, and miso soup were especially tasty. The service was also good. The white wine from Old Winery in Australia, Chardonnay, paired well with the seasonal lunch menu. The meal included three types of appetizers, two skewers of seasonal grilled skewers, two skewers of seasonal teppanyaki, two skewers of classic grilled skewers, and a mini steak of black wagyu beef (40g). Rice, pickles, and miso soup were also included, along with dessert.

I stopped by here after visiting a Hankyu event. When I entered the shop, there was no response. The shop was only half full... I had a bad feeling. I ordered the lunch set, which had okonomiyaki as the main dish, but it was greasy. Hmm... The asparagus was delicious, but overall I was disappointed.

The appetizers were striped jack, steamed chicken, and agar-agar. The striped jack paired well with olive oil, and the steamed chicken was moist. I wasn't sure what to expect with the grilled fish main dish, but the vegetables and meat matched well and it was healthy.

On the 12th floor of Hankyu Department Store Umeda Main Store, there is a restaurant where you can sit at the counter and watch the food being cooked on the teppan grill in front of you. We ordered the Kushiage course with rice set and egg over rice. We also had recommended sake and oolong tea for drinks. The appetizers were elegantly presented and delicious. The skewers were cooked on the teppan grill in front of us, one by one, and included items like eggplant, okra, spam, young corn with spicy sauce, octopus simmered in soy sauce, horse mackerel with plum sauce, bacon-wrapped snow peas, lotus root stuffed with meat, ramen skewer, and asparagus wrapped in bacon. We finished with rice set and egg over rice for my wife, and green tea ice cream with red bean paste for dessert. Everything was delicious and the experience of watching the food being cooked in front of us added to the enjoyment. It was a unique and tasty meal.
