[I went to Yakiniku Like Tenjin Nishidori for lunch alone. I entered the restaurant after seeing the great deals at the entrance. When I was shown to my seat, I noticed that there were plenty of empty seats at the counter, but I was still directed to a specific seat. As I was about to sit down, I noticed the customer next to that seat seemed to be reluctant. I briefly considered leaving, but then I was asked if I could choose my own seat, which I appreciated. However, later on, I saw that other solo customers who came in after me confidently took the counter seats with more space between them, which left me puzzled.
I decided to go with the cheapest set on the menu, which included 7 pieces of meat (totaling 100 grams), rice (with free refills until 5 pm), seaweed soup, and kimchi. The food arrived promptly, and I started grilling the meat one by one. Unfortunately, the oil splattered and ended up staining my brand new sweatshirt. I thought I could avoid this by being careful, but I guess I was wrong. While other customers were given paper aprons, I wasn't, which made me realize that I should have asked for one before grilling. I asked for a paper apron afterwards and the staff was polite and helpful from then until I left, but the oil incident had already happened before I got the apron.
As for the food, personally, I found the meat to be decent for its price, cooked on the grill provided. The rice was as expected, following the instructions on the touchscreen. The kimchi had a good level of spiciness, and the seaweed soup was light in flavor.
In conclusion, there are good deals during the daytime until 5 pm, like free rice refills. However, the seating issue and oil splattering incident made me realize the importance of being more proactive.]
