Saturday night dinner. My wife wanted to eat meat, so I suggested we go to a restaurant where we can have meat. I drove my wife and kids to the central district, but unfortunately the suggested restaurant was full, so we had to make a U-turn. We ended up going back near Fukuoka International Airport and I remembered a certain restaurant, "Seikoen" Hanbashi branch. It's a yakiniku chain with its headquarters in Nagasaki, Isahaya City. Come to think of it, I had been to the Harada branch in March this year. In the midst of the hot summer, we decided to eat delicious meat and boost our stamina with a casual excuse (laughs), and indulged in some hearty meat dishes. The first thing we ordered was the Black Wagyu Trio B Set (5580 yen excluding tax), which serves 2 people and includes kalbi, loin, top kalbi, and premium Wagyu, along with grilled vegetables or lettuce. Just a reminder, Seikoen uses only black Wagyu aged 2 years and 4-8 months. When grilled to perfection with a nice char and the fat has melted just right, the melt-in-your-mouth texture is truly delightful! The meat remains tender even when cooked, providing a satisfying chew. We also ordered the Healthy Kalbi (880 yen per person excluding tax) and Negi Tan (1180 yen per person including tax), and I also had the mixed grain rice (200 yen excluding tax) and Chinese cabbage kimchi (360 yen excluding tax). In my experience, kimchi at good yakiniku restaurants is usually delicious, and Seikoen's kimchi was no exception, with a good balance of spiciness and umami that made it enjoyable even while sweating profusely. We all thoroughly enjoyed the delicious beef, and everyone in the family was very satisfied! While it's not a place we can go to frequently due to the price, I'd love to visit again on another occasion.

I visited the restaurant on a weekday night in February (during the big Thanksgiving event). I ordered a lot of items like thick-cut negishio-tan and top sirloin, and during the big Thanksgiving event, the first order of meat is increased by 50% (1.5 times thicker). The overall meat quality is above average and surprisingly delicious, but not outstanding. However, the cost performance is excellent and I am satisfied! It was just sad that the harami was sold out (laughs). Maybe I'll visit again during the big Thanksgiving event next year?

Recently, I have been working from early in the morning until late at night, so it has been a while since I updated my food blog. When I finally opened it, I realized that I hadn't written anything for about a month (oops). I need to keep up with it, or I'll forget everything (haha). Anyway, on this day, I went for some yakiniku (Japanese BBQ) training. It had been a while since I last went to Seikaen. My impression was that it was good enough. Yeah, running a yakiniku restaurant seems like a profitable business. I enjoyed the meal, even though I can't remember exactly what I had after neglecting my reviews for a month. Thanks for the meal!

I visited this restaurant for lunch for the first time. The prices were reasonable, with a variety of options available. A cabbage salad was served for each person, with free refills. The meat served was thin but not bad, about 5 slices. The sauce was tasty and the rice was good. The service was also good, making it a place I would like to visit again.

I used it for a late lunch. It was good that I could smoothly park at a later time. The hamburger set with demi-glace sauce was 1080 yen, and the special yakiniku lunch was 1980 yen. The meat looked delicious, but the taste was just average. It was reassuring to have a private room at this time of year.

Halfway through the bridge shop revisited with a friend after about 4 years. Since all the rooms are private, you can relax and take your time♪ This time, we aimed for affordable menus around 1,000 yen rather than the yakiniku lunch. Beef tongue set meal, tofu jjigae set meal, hamburger set meal, and about 10 other options. So many to choose from! ▪ Black Wagyu Yakiniku Set Meal 980 yen Cabbage salad, rice (white or mixed grain), and miso soup are refillable. The tongs for serving the cabbage salad were wrapped in plastic, perhaps due to the influence of the coronavirus. As I was enjoying the salad, the grilled yakiniku on the hot plate was brought to the table~♪ Honestly, as someone with a taste deafness minappu, I couldn't really tell the flavor of Black Wagyu, but it was tender and delicious^^* Thank you for the meal.

Although I have been to Seiko-en for lunch before, this was my first time going for dinner. It seems like a restaurant where you can enjoy good meat in a private room. I used to visit this restaurant since the Hiyoutan Ike era, but it has been 5 years since my last visit. I ordered the Black Wagyu B set. It seems like due to the high cost of living in recent years, both the quantity and quality have deteriorated significantly. Perhaps it's to keep the prices the same, but it's still too bad. I also ordered the Negi Shio Healthy Kalbi, but it was also terrible. It was the first time I had such small scraps of meat at a yakiniku restaurant. Supermarket meat is definitely tastier. When this place first opened, it was a great place to enjoy high-quality Saga beef at a low price in a small two-story store with charcoal grills. The chain stores have increased, but it's very disappointing that they couldn't maintain the same quality. If the sales have dropped significantly in the past five years, it's not just because of the coronavirus, but also due to the decline in meat quality. The rice used to be good too. I was a big fan, so it's really disappointing. I used to only go to this restaurant for yakiniku, but now I will look for a new place. I hope they improve the quality, as yakiniku is considered an event for the common people, and with such quality, they will surely lose customers. Try ordering the Negi Shio Healthy Kalbi and you'll see what I mean.

Today, for lunch, I went to "Seikoen" where I couldn't go too far. I was seated in a private room even though I was dining alone. I ordered the "Kalbi Lunch" for 1200 yen (excluding tax) using a tablet. I chose grilled vegetables over kimchi, and seaweed soup over miso soup. I selected white rice for my meal. The Kalbi dish came with 7 slices of meat, which was just right for me. The meat had a good amount of fat, not too much, and was slightly chewy. However, the highlight was the rice, which was incredibly delicious. I was able to eat more rice than usual. It was really tasty. Thank you for the meal.

I went to Seikaen for the first time today. I used to think it was just another yakiniku chain restaurant, but I heard from my friend that it's a charcoal-grilled yakiniku place with a slightly upscale vibe. When I arrived, I was surprised to find that the atmosphere was actually quite nice. We were seated at a sunken table and ordered using a touch panel. The restaurant seemed high-end, but I wondered if they were sticking to their concept. We ordered cuts like nakaochi, liver, and tongue, along with a large serving of rice. The meat was brought out quickly, and we grilled it right away. I tried the liver rare, and it was delicious! The nakaochi and ribeye were also very good. The prices were reasonable, and the service was great. Overall, I was very satisfied with my first experience at Seikaen and will definitely come back again in the future.

Located just a short distance from the Hanshin Expressway halfway bridge, this restaurant visited in April 2016. The entrance to the parking lot is a bit confusing and the parking lot itself is small, which is a shame, but all rooms are private with sunken kotatsu tables, which was great. This time, I made a reservation and visited on a holiday night. [Order this time] - Premium set - Special set - Garlic foil grilled - Chinese cabbage kimchi - Top loin - Pork belly We enjoyed them with beer. The quality of the meat was decent, and I thought it was quite good compared to other chain restaurants. The place was clean and we felt comfortable dining with our children. The service was also quick, so overall satisfaction was high. I will visit again.

Located in Kamimuta, Hakata-ku, Fukuoka City, this is my second visit to Seikaen, following a visit to their Isahaya branch in Nagasaki three years ago. I visited for lunch on a weekday and had a private room all to myself. Menu: Special Yakiniku Lunch Set - 1720 yen Featuring premium cuts of Kyushu black wagyu beef such as top sirloin, top kalbi, top tripe, top hormone, sirloin, and kalbi. The beef is served with original sauce and miso sauce. I chose multigrain rice over white rice, and Chisha over vegetable assortment. The combination of the sauce-covered beef wrapped in rice or Chisha was absolutely delicious with no unpleasant elements. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

Located near the Hanbashi exit of the urban expressway along Route 3, this yakiniku restaurant caught my eye with its prominent sign visible from the urban expressway. This was my first visit, and I was pleasantly surprised by the upscale atmosphere and private rooms throughout the restaurant. I ordered the Healthy Kalbi for 750 yen, the Harami for 1150 yen, and started with the Tongue Salad. The meat was quite delicious! Next, I tried the grilled shabu-shabu for 1030 yen, which you eat by dipping it in egg. The meat was a bit too rare for my liking. For dessert, we had the Sundubu Jjigae for 800 yen, and my partner topped their rice with the leftover egg from the shabu-shabu, which was delicious! However, the cost performance was not the best.

This is a restaurant in Kamuta where you can enjoy authentic charcoal-grilled yakiniku. For dinner that day, my wife requested yakiniku, so we decided to visit this restaurant with a big sign along Route 3 that we had noticed before. We parked our car in the first floor parking lot and went up to the second floor restaurant. We took off our shoes and entered the restaurant, where my wife and I sat at a table with a kotatsu-like feel in a private room setting to enjoy our meal. We ordered the most affordable Black Wagyu Three Kinds A set for 4,280 yen from the menu. We also added a hormone set and maruchou (intestines). Since we came by car, we toasted with non-alcoholic beer. The Black Wagyu set for 4,280 yen includes loin, kalbi, and upper kalbi. We could choose between grilled vegetables or chisha as a side dish, and we chose chisha. I added my favorite maruchou for 800 yen to enjoy the yakiniku. My wife also added a hormone set for 1,200 yen, which includes mino, hormone, and upper hormone. The yakiniku is grilled over charcoal, so it turns out to be very delicious with the far infrared effect. Flames were rising from the fat dripping from the maruchou. We dipped the grilled meat in a soy sauce-based light sauce and a miso-based special sauce. The grilled meat, when wrapped in chisha with gochujang, tasted even better. Finally, we had a rice set and left the restaurant feeling full and satisfied. Even though we couldn't drink beer, we had a satisfying dinner enjoying delicious yakiniku.
