I went to the popular restaurant Kyoto Chabana, known for its creative okonomiyaki, for lunch before my errands in Kyobashi. The restaurant is located on the first floor of the Keihan Mall's dining area, with an open layout without walls facing the walkway. I'm not a big fan of this type of layout because it gives off a cheap food court vibe. However, the taste should be the same as a regular street-side restaurant. The lunch menu had set meals, but I decided to order individual dishes, including the popular okonomiyaki and yakisoba.
- Tomato Okonomiyaki with Overflowing Mozzarella Cheese
Price: 1380 yen (excluding tax)
The okonomiyaki was topped generously with mozzarella cheese, with the edges crisped up like wings. The staff then poured plenty of special sauce over it. Cutting into the crispy edges with the cheese's burnt flavor was amazing. The okonomiyaki was fluffy with lots of cabbage, and the batter seemed to have less flour. The cabbage was finely shredded, giving it a delicate touch. The cheese was dominant, so the tomato flavor wasn't very prominent, but it was still delicious.
- Avocado Black Yakisoba with Kyoto Vegetable Mix
Price: 1180 yen (excluding tax)
This yakisoba used soba noodles and was topped with avocado, tomato, baby corn, lotus root, shimeji mushrooms, onions, spinach, and more. It was drizzled with a special soy sauce-based sauce that was delicious. The wasabi flavor complemented the soba noodles well. Despite being yakisoba, it had a Japanese essence that made it a tasty dish.
Overall, the restaurant offered a variety of creative dishes that you wouldn't find elsewhere, and they were all delicious. The portion size might be a bit small for men, so opting for a set menu would be better for them. It was a delightful meal!

I met up with my wife in Kyobashi as planned. We went to Kyochabana, which I had been wanting to try for a while. We had a set meal for 1,100 yen, which included rice, miso soup, yakisoba, and okonomiyaki. The draft beer was 550 yen. We were full after the meal. It takes about 30 minutes for the food to be ready after ordering, so if you're in a hurry, be aware. The yakisoba and okonomiyaki were delicious. They also have regular okonomiyaki, so please give it a try.

I wanted to eat okonomiyaki, so I chose this restaurant and entered. Since I arrived before 6:00 p.m., I didn't have to wait to be seated. The yakisoba, butter-grilled squid, and izakaya menu items like cucumber tataki and rolled omelette were all delicious. I followed the recommendation and chose the avocado mixed okonomiyaki with mochi cheese topping. I couldn't really taste the avocado, but it was still delicious. For those who don't like avocado, there are tomato okonomiyaki and plain okonomiyaki options available, so no worries. It was nice to get a free drink by adding the restaurant on LINE as a friend.

It's been a while since I went to Kyoto Chabana, the first time I went was at Hankyu in Umeda... It seems like it's closed now... I wonder why. I remember being impressed when I discovered a new kind of okonomiyaki there. It was a unique okonomiyaki and yakisoba using tomatoes and avocados! The flavors were quite good. I usually had the tomato okonomiyaki and avocado yakisoba, but this time I tried the opposite, tomato yakisoba (with pasta noodles!!) and avocado okonomiyaki. The yakisoba was delicious with lots of cheese on top, and the okonomiyaki with plenty of sauce and mayonnaise was also tasty. Towards the end, I got a bit tired of the flavors, so I added some sauce and mayonnaise for a perfect finish.

Around 12:15, the restaurant was about 60% full. I was seated at a table in the middle and ordered the popular dish, "Butatama & Yakisoba Half" with rice and miso soup, without ginger. The food was served in about 19 minutes. The okonomiyaki was just okay, the yakisoba was decent, but the rice was a bit too sticky. The miso soup was okay. I paid 1050 yen with a card and left in a hurry to return by 12:45.

Creative Teppanyaki restaurant's specialty Avocado Black Yakisoba! A new sensation dish using Japanese buckwheat noodles with tomatoes and avocados. Being a restaurant with "Kyoto" in its name, the taste was elegant. The Mix Yaki is like Okonomiyaki with a sauce that is easy to understand and easy to eat. You can enjoy eating while watching your food being cooked on the hot iron plate in a relaxed atmosphere. The fruit-flavored carbonated drinks are also delicious! There is a good variety of drinks, and some customers were seen enjoying their meal with alcohol.

I suddenly felt like eating the specialty "fluffy and creamy" okonomiyaki made with a whole tomato, so I visited a okonomiyaki restaurant that I hadn't been to in years. The restaurant is located inside Keihan Mall in Kyobashi, and has a casual atmosphere with only table seating, making it comfortable for dining alone.
On this day, I ordered the following items:
- Crispy Lotus Root Cheese Chips: The combination of lotus root and cheese was amazing, with the aroma of burnt cheese being irresistible.
- Fluffy Rolled Omelette with Dashi: Cooked on a hot plate, this dish was hot and fluffy, with a gentle dashi flavor that disappeared in an instant.
- Hotplate Mapo Eggplant Yakisoba: Made with a whole eggplant, this yakisoba had just the right amount of spiciness, and the addition of egg yolk made it even milder.
- Tomato Okonomiyaki with Overflowing Mozzarella Cheese Topping: Topped with plenty of mozzarella cheese, this okonomiyaki arrived sizzling and delicious, with a flow of creamy egg yolk when cut in the middle.
As mentioned earlier, the okonomiyaki was "fluffy and creamy" with plenty of vegetables such as cabbage, carrots, and sprouts, making it healthy. However, the sinful amount of rich and creamy mozzarella cheese completely ruined its healthiness. It had been a while since I had eaten it, but it was incredibly delicious. Unfortunately, the tomato okonomiyaki was not available for lunch, so I had it specially prepared for dinner. The staff kindly accommodated my request, for which I am grateful. Thank you for the delicious meal!

I had black oolong tea first and waited patiently, and 15 minutes later, it was served! The Half & Half size was just right❗️I was very satisfied with the delicious okonomiyaki and yakisoba!△The rice is on the softer side. Thank you for the meal♡"

Highball Mega (780 yen) - Cucumber Smashed (290 yen) - Very quick service. Cucumber with no particular seasoning, but the spicy sauce adds some flavor. Chicken cartilage fried (490 yen) - Quick service as expected, good quality. Avocado Black Yakisoba Mix (Pork, Squid, Shrimp) (1,290 yen) - Soba noodles with a wasabi-based seasoning, light and not too heavy. The avocado is soft and creamy, not overpowering in flavor. Warm tea (complimentary) - It's nice to be offered warm tea by the staff at the end of the meal.

Stylish okonomiyaki restaurant. Ordered the half and half lunch set with okonomiyaki and yakisoba for 980 yen. They said it would take 15 to 20 minutes. A painful wait for lunch. If you can't wait, you don't need to come. It arrived in 20 minutes. The okonomiyaki was delicious as usual. The yakisoba lacked flavor. I would rate the service 50 out of 100.

During the way back to the office from a work meeting, I was debating whether to eat okonomiyaki, but the weather was bad and I didn't want to stray far from the station, so I ended up revisiting this place for the second time in two months. Even though I initially wanted to have okonomiyaki, once I entered the restaurant, I couldn't resist the temptation of yakisoba as well. I ordered the same set lunch of okonomiyaki and yakisoba that I had last time. The reason for the lower rating is that during my previous visit, there was a promotion where the half size was upgraded to a regular size, but after the promotion ended, it remained as a half size. It's a silly reason, I know, sorry about that! :)

I visited Kyocha Hana in Keihan Mall for the first time. During dinner time, there were only 2 staff members, so the service was a bit slow. When we were seated, there were tables and teppanyaki plates that hadn't been cleaned up yet. I guess it's because they have to operate with a small staff due to the current situation. We ordered oyster teppanyaki and tomato okonomiyaki. The okonomiyaki here is cute and would make women happy with its appearance! I hope that the food and beverage industry can return to normal soon and become lively again. Thank you for the meal! ^_^

This was my first visit to Kyo Chabana. Surprisingly, there are many okonomiyaki restaurants in Kyobashi, including chain stores and famous individually-owned shops. This place offers a great deal for lunch. It's always crowded, but I was able to get in quickly today. I enjoyed the meal. Thank you.

I ordered a lunch set at Keihan Mall until 5:00 pm, which included squid okonomiyaki, salad, and a drink. The salad was refreshing with tofu and vegetables in a light dressing. The okonomiyaki was a bit too soft, maybe slightly undercooked. Overall, the lunch set was a good deal.

Kyochabana, famous for their tomato okonomiyaki, is a restaurant where you can enter without waiting at the Keihan Mall store. Despite being in the midst of the pandemic, it was relatively crowded. I tried the yakisoba made with Japanese soba noodles, but I personally prefer to eat soba noodles in a more traditional way. However, my friend enjoyed it. The oyster okonomiyaki had oysters inside, and the tomato okonomiyaki is a unique menu item only available here. The texture of the batter is like monjayaki, but it is delicious so it's not a problem. The salad with free refills consisted mostly of leafy greens, but it was fresh. The staff at the restaurant are always friendly, and surprisingly, they are all Japanese. I will definitely go back again.

I wanted to eat okonomiyaki, so I came to Kyochabana at Keihan Mall for dinner on New Year's. They have stylish okonomiyaki with a sense of security from being a chain restaurant, and there are many female customers, making it quite lively. The signature menu, tomato okonomiyaki, has the sweetness of tomatoes added to the okonomiyaki, giving it a slightly Italian-like taste. It's a flavor that girls like. The oyster foil-baked dish had large oysters which was delightful. Instead of yakisoba, I chose the seasonal pasta. I forgot what kind of pasta it was. There were quite a few seasonal menu options, so I would like to come back again.

On my day off, I went shopping and decided to have lunch at a restaurant. The place I visited was Kyochabana Kyobashi Keihan Mall store, located on the 1st floor of Keihan Mall, just a short walk from JR and Keihan Kyobashi Station. It is a restaurant where you can enjoy creative okonomiyaki dishes.
Upon entering the restaurant, I was seated at a table and looked at the weekend lunch menu. They had options like Tomato Okonomiyaki with overflowing mozzarella cheese and Avocado Black Yakisoba with Kyoto vegetables mix. I decided to order the "Pork and Pork Yakisoba Greedy Half & Half" instead of a creative menu.
It was quite crowded, so I had to wait for about 30 minutes before my Pork Yakisoba was served. Shortly after, the Okonomiyaki also arrived. Since I ordered the half size, both dishes were very cute in size. The Pork and Pork Yakisoba Greedy Half & Half looked adorable on the hot plate.
I started with the Yakisoba, which had bean sprouts and was delicious. The Okonomiyaki had a soft and fluffy texture, and it was tasty as well. Although the portion seemed small, it was nice to be able to try both the Okonomiyaki and Yakisoba. The Tomato Okonomiyaki with overflowing mozzarella cheese seemed to be popular among other diners, so I might try a creative menu item next time.

I rarely come to Osaka, so I went on a food binge starting from Tsuruhashi Fuga and hopping to other places. Honestly, I don't think I'll come back again, and I feel like I didn't need to go to this particular restaurant. The portion size was small for the price, and some dishes lacked flavor. It was light in taste, but it lacked the punch of the sauce that I was expecting. Maybe I set my expectations too high. I think I prefer Tsuru Fuga after all.

I visited this restaurant located inside Keihan Mall because I was craving okonomiyaki after a long time. I ordered yakisoba and buta hirayaki. The taste was quite ordinary, like a typical teppanyaki restaurant. There are consistently good restaurants in Keihan Mall! I look forward to trying more in the future.

It's been a while since I last visited. The past few times, the restaurant has been full and I couldn't get in, but today I was able to enter easily. The okonomiyaki and yakisoba were delicious, just normal. They have a good variety of side dishes which might be good for those who are drinking. What left a strong impression was how attentive the staff were. They might say it's different from taste, but it's rare to find a restaurant where you can leave feeling satisfied.

After getting off at Kyobashi, I finally got to try the okonomiyaki that I had missed out on in Osaka! The restaurant had a cute and stylish atmosphere, mainly catering to groups of 2-3 girls or couples. In a rush due to an upcoming meeting, I ordered the "Tomato Okonomiyaki", a shape I had never tried before. The texture was surprisingly creamy with a sweet tomato flavor and a rich sauce. It was a new and different kind of okonomiyaki. It was a bit too hot to eat quickly because it was like magma! Overall, it was a good experience! Thank you for the meal!
