After enjoying delicious yakiniku at Hyotan-yama, we transformed into mischievous elementary school boys attempting to take sneaky photos and middle school boys walking confidently ahead without caring about the girls walking behind us, and headed to the next shop. We arrived in Tsuruhashi, where Chisen said she wanted to go to a dog-friendly bar, leaving me feeling a bit left out. I love dogs, but was Chisen a dog lover too? Red and Blue took us to an Irish pub called "The Dog House Inn." I had thought Irish pubs were like izakayas, but they have a unique style called Cash on Delivery (COD), where you pay for your drinks as you receive them. This allows for a flexible style where you can come and go as you please without being rushed out. Tsuruhashi is known for its Korean town, so it was surprising to find a cozy Irish pub there. Inside, we were greeted by Henry, the bulldog, who had such a unique and muscular body. He glanced at us briefly before relaxing back into his spot. Chisen didn't seem interested in Henry, so I chatted with him instead. Dogs are so cute and bring so much happiness. I wonder if Chisen asked Red and Blue to take us here because she knew I love dogs. We toasted with Guinness, enjoying the rich foam with a lucky four-leaf clover. The night was filled with laughter and chatter, and the heavy Guinness was just perfect. I wish I could fall asleep on the sofa like Henry, surrounded by the laughter and warmth of the pub. Thank you for the delicious meal! On to the third shop!

A satisfying yakiniku feast at Hirakatashi Station, Hyoutaneyama. "Take me to a dog-friendly bar!" Sure, sure. So off to Hirakatashi we went. It's been a while, so we ended up at Dog House Inn. Oh, there's Henry, still sleeping as always. A British pub in Hirakatashi, which feels quite different. Remember how lively it was during the Rugby World Cup? That kind of vibe. Three pints of Guinness at the counter, cash on delivery. Waiting patiently for the rich foam to settle. I love this moment when drinking Guinness. The rising foam looks beautiful. And there's a shamrock in the foam, a symbol of luck. Cheers with a pint of Guinness, a great start. Fresh Guinness is delicious. Maybe even better than before. Some snacks from outside the restaurant, like nuts and cheese. We finished them quickly. Slowly enjoying the beer and chatting. Henry woke up and, as always, had an ugly face, but still cute in a way. Time to head home... or not! The night continues, just like the lingering foam.

I ate a lot of yakiniku at Hyoutan-yama and still have 10,000 yen left in my money bag. Where should I go next? Maybe a bar? There seems to be a bar with some dogs, which I read about in a review before and found interesting. Let's go there with a friend who loves dogs. It's just one stop from Hyoutan-yama to Tsuruhashi. After a bit of wandering and walking through some shady places, we arrived! There was a big dog sitting on a chair at the entrance. I actually don't like dogs because I was bitten on the butt by a dog when I was a child. Since then, dogs have been a nightmare for me. The natural beauty in our group was playing with the dog while I quickly went to a table at the back to eat more meat. I ate too much and got thirsty, so we all had Guinness. I got a clover on my glass, congratulations! Even though we said we were full, they brought out cheese and a large serving of nuts. In no time, a group of middle school students and their parents finished everything. I still have some money left for one more drink here.

After enjoying yakiniku at the locally rooted "Ichiraku," head to "THE DOGHOUSE INN" next. Is it a pub or a bar? The bulldog signboard dog, Henry, greets you quietly. Start with a half pint of Guinness (600 yen). Creamy and surging... with carbon dioxide and nitrogen as its characteristics. I ordered the recommended Irish whiskey from a customer who I mistakenly thought was the owner (he was a regular customer). I ordered Jameson Black Barrel (800 yen) straight. I was surprised by its mildness, contrary to my expectation of a smoky flavor from the "Black Barrel" name. I could even taste hints of vanilla! The unconventional display at the storefront is chaotic. The name of the shop may make you think it's a dog hotel, but it's actually a shop for connoisseurs of beer and whiskey.

Circular line Tsuruhashi Station. As usual, I went to Teradacho... and had yakiniku at the usual shop (^_^) Maybe I'll have a quick drink somewhere and head home (* ̄0 ̄)/ Yeah! Tsuruhashi Station is located on the right side if you go towards Tamatsukuri from the central exit. At The Dog House counter, I had a pint of Guinness and a half pint (^_-) For the girls who can't drink beer, they can have apple cider... The rich foam unique to Guinness. The shamrock emblem is pressed into the rich foam and received at the counter. If you call out "Where are you, Henry?" he will come over ( ̄ー ̄)b Yeah! You're so friendly (^_-) I pet Henry, who is sitting at my feet, and give him his food from the counter... Sit! Stay!... Perfect! ( ̄ー ̄)b Yeah! You're such a good boy (laughs) While pretending to be friendly with Henry, I enjoy a pint of Guinness beer in a British atmosphere in Tsuruhashi. With a glass in hand, I spend time sitting too deeply on a chair, surrounded by the dense and enduring foam of Guinness. There must have been something I wanted to talk about, but for some reason, the past and the future don't matter, and I can only talk about the happiness of what is happening right in front of me at this moment. If you can enjoy the present moment, you can live happily tomorrow too (^_-) That's what I think. There's no point in regretting the unchangeable past or worrying about the unknown future. Anyway... I have to become someone who can live happily (laughs) Thanks to Henry? With a pint of Guinness, I had a night where I thought about such things. I guess it's about time to head back (* ̄0 ̄)/ Yeah! Henry sees me off. It's a place where you can feel kind and relaxed with Henry (^_-)………………………………………………(^_-)To my dear followers, this review is the 200th. Thank you so much for always engaging with me and making it enjoyable. A place that allows me to take a little break from everyday life... I am truly grateful ( ̄ー ̄)b Yeah!

December 18, 2014***After the year-end party, Henry provided excellent hospitality. It was nice to relax with everyone before heading home! (゚∀゚)July 2014***I played with the shop's mascot dog, Henry, for the first time. I understood the areas I shouldn't go to and behaved well. This time, I enjoyed some cider and talked about whiskey, and was introduced to a sister bar called "The Old Bridge" under the nearby JR overpass. I'll have to check it out next time. May 2014***This is my second visit. Last time, it was quite a while ago and the place had a fancy interior with few customers, but this time I confirmed that it serves as a community-like British pub. There were many regular-looking women chatting freely on sofas and at the counter, but it wasn't noisy. The bulldog mascot was also there. The TV inside was showing "Hanshin Tigers" instead of "overseas soccer" (^^) When it comes to a pub, you think of beer, but they serve Carlsberg, Bass, and Guinness on tap in pints (568ml) and half pints with cash on delivery. There were also various whiskeys available, which was nice. It might be difficult to become a regular here, but it could be fun to listen in on everyone's conversations nearby.

I dropped by this place on the way back from a drinking party in September 2013. Once again, I had a fun conversation with other customers sitting next to me (*^-^*). It seems like this place attracts drinkers. I visited again with my relatives this time. The dog that was mentioned in the title was no longer there, which was disappointing. I didn't dare ask what happened to it. But we still had a great time drinking and chatting leisurely. Everyone seemed happy too. Honestly, it had been a while since I last visited this place, which is a small and lively spot. Some people were standing and drinking, and when the weather is nice, some even spill out onto the road. The cash-on-delivery system here might be a good idea because I ended up ordering so much that I lost track of how much I spent (*^□^*). The master and his wife are friendly and talkative, which probably attracts repeat customers and keeps the place bustling every night. About two years ago, they even got a bulldog in the shop. It's very friendly and roams around the shop spreading cheer. It's pretty cute. It's quiet, so even people who don't like dogs should be fine. It's the kind of place that makes you want to come back for another drink.

I remember going there about 3 years ago when a friend mentioned they had Guinness on tap. I decided to stop by when I heard they also serve Minoh Beer. I asked if they had any IPA, hoping for a Double IPA since Beer Belly has been out of stock for a while. They had an IPA on tap for 1,000 yen per pint, a little more expensive than Beer Belly. The bar's mascot, a bulldog, was wandering around but thankfully not barking. If they had a pheasant, it would have been like the story of Momotaro (laughs). That's all.

H24.3.28 Revisited "I Want to Meet Henry Again" I had plans to take the train to Uehommachi and then walk one station on my way back (it's downhill), but I decided to visit again on foot because I really wanted to see Henry (laughs). This area is dimly lit and there are many interesting shops, but I just wanted to see Henry (laughs). Despite it being a weekday, the shop was quite crowded with customers enjoying delicious beer. I hesitated for a moment, but since I had come this far, I decided to boldly enter. Actually, it was more of a beer bar, or rather a "standing bar," with no seats available, which was a new situation for me and I honestly didn't understand why. I felt like I was intruding as I stood by the entrance and had a Minoh beer. Henry seemed to be a little more energetic, but unfortunately, he was feeling unwell again since yesterday, so I decided to refrain from taking photos this time as well. The master kindly gave me a Bull-chan figurine, so I took a photo with it. Since I didn't understand the system at all, I quickly drank a beer and left the shop. I admire adult socializing places, but it's difficult to explore them alone... It was a night where I felt the bittersweet taste of tonight's beer. H24.3.10 First Visit "Had a Drink Before the Girls' Night Out" I visited the shop I had been checking out because I wanted to see the shop's dog (laughs). The dog was feeling a little unwell, so the shop staff said, "I'll make sure he's feeling better by the next time we meet." Let's take a photo together next time. Actually, I was looking forward to trying Minoh beer, but the male customer before me had a Guinness beer, so it seems Guinness is the recommended choice. I had a small size for 600 yen, which is a bit expensive (the large size is 800 yen and a better deal). If I had already had it before the girls' night out, well... The Guinness beer with fine foam handed to me was very delicious. I wonder what I didn't like about it when I had it years ago. It was early and a Friday, but it was not crowded, making it easy to enter. It takes courage to sit alone in a full bar, so I'll definitely visit again when the dog is feeling better and have some Minoh beer as well (laughs).

Last night, I went on a food tour in Tsuruhashi with my friend. The choice of restaurants was all made by our guide for the day, K. Tsuruhashi is known for yakiniku (grilled meat), but I learned that there are many other delicious restaurants besides yakiniku. The first place we stopped at in Tsuruhashi station was "The Doghouse Inn," a beer bar. I thought there would be dogs because of the name, but it turns out they are just taking care of a dog for a few days. I really liked the dog, Henry. They have a variety of foreign and local beers, and I tried the beer from Minoh (700 yen). It was delicious with a fine texture. After a quick drink, we moved on to the next place.

"Matsuya and Sukiya's 250 yen Gyudon War | Main 2010-06-10 The Doghouse Inn @ Tsuruhashi with Greene King IPA On the way back from drinking a bit further south, I stopped by The Doghouse Inn, an English pub in Tsuruhashi, for one more drink. I used to go there often when I lived in Ikuno Ward, but now it's far from my commute route, so it's been a long time since I visited. The menu on the wall mentioned haggis, but I was already full and couldn't possibly eat anymore. The master's recommendation that day was Greene King IPA, a type of Indian Pale Ale beer known for its rich flavor, designed to withstand the long voyage from England to India during the Age of Exploration. However, this brand has a low alcohol content of 3.6%, with a smooth and creamy foam, a hint of caramel-like sweetness, and a smooth mouthfeel that made it very easy to drink. I regretted not ordering a pint glass instead of a half pint, but it was getting late so I called it a night with this. It was a great way to end the night of drinking. I'll be back again soon!"

Title: British Pub in Tsuruhashi, Osaka It's not an Irish pub, but a British pub!! Located in Tsuruhashi, Osaka, this is a cozy hidden gem where you can enjoy delicious beer. From young people to elderly regulars, everyone is warmly welcomed in this very homely pub. The master and staff's funny talks are soothing. The interior decorations are full of playful spirit (perfect for those who love England). It's a great place. This time, I tried the 1698 Draft Ale from the UK, which I had for the first time on tap in Japan. It's a brand that holds personal memories for me, so I was very moved. However, I was informed that it will no longer be available in Japan due to supply reasons, so I was given about 5 pints as the last in the country. Thank you very much!! There are many things I want to write about, but since it's a hidden gem, I'll keep it a secret. I plan to visit this place about once a month!!!

As mentioned in this review, before embarking on a gourmet tour of Tsuruhashi, I wanted to enjoy a delicious beer first. I was urged by a friend who loves beer to visit this place. I arrived on a Friday around 7 pm and was the first customer. The interior of the restaurant felt more like a gathering place for beer enthusiasts rather than a typical restaurant. The seating arrangements were not the most comfortable, but after sitting in the back for a while, I started to feel like I belonged. The color scheme inside was also soothing. As for the beer, I tried the Minoh Beer, Weizen, Carlsberg, and Bass on tap. The creamy foam on top was delightful and lingered in my mouth. I recommend getting a pint instead of a half, as it's quite easy to drink. Overall, I just want to go back on beer day and enjoy more beer.
