On the 7th day in Yukihashi. Today, I visited Takuan in front of the station. It's a shop that wasn't there 7 years ago. The sign in front of the shop says that they handle A5 Wagyu beef, and it looks like an expensive shop. Well, it's a rare business trip, so let's splurge (lol). I arrived a bit late, but the shop was almost full. However, there were two seats available. This shop has all private rooms, and there seem to be several two-person private rooms, which is nice for solo customers. With these seats, even a solo customer can easily get in. However, this seems to be a popular shop, and it seems to be fully booked on weekends. Looking at the menu, there are various rare parts of beef lined up. All are A5 Wagyu from Kyushu, and they are cut from the block after ordering, so they seem to have quite a commitment. If you order 2-3 rare parts, it seems like it will easily cost around 5000 yen, but there were reasonable set dishes here. There are three types of set dishes that include a mix of rare parts and normal meat, priced at 2980 yen, 3980 yen, and 4980 yen. Most customers seem to order that and then add additional individual orders if needed. I was undecided about which one to choose, but since rice wasn't included, I decided to order the second one, the "Kami-namabuta-mori" (3980 yen). The contents are as follows: Today's recommended rare parts (Zabuton, Sasano-mi, Kame-no-kou) Kami-shio-tan Mochi pork belly Satsuma red chicken Mix hormones Seseri-grilled vegetable platter Cold tomato kimchi 3 types of lettuce Rice (300 yen) Oolong tea (280 yen) First, I had the 3 types of kimchi. I'm not a fan of kimchi, but from experience, I can eat kimchi from high-end restaurants. When I tried it, it was delicious. I can eat this. From experience, the meat from restaurants where I can eat kimchi should be delicious. The Kami-namabuta-mori arrived without much waiting. First, I tried the Kami-shio-tan, pork belly, Satsuma red chicken, mix hormones, and seseri, which are not rare parts. They were all a bit small in size, but they were indeed delicious. The Kami-shio-tan, pork belly, etc., are standard menu items, but they are different from what you would eat at a regular yakiniku restaurant. The meat is firm, meaning the taste is consistent. Cheap restaurants often have meats with a bad aftertaste or texture issues when chewing and swallowing, but here, even after swallowing, it's delicious! You can expect this level of quality from the cheapest menu. The Satsuma red chicken was delicious. It's been a while since I had chicken that was this delicious. The mix hormones, seseri, etc., were also delicious. And the rare parts. I tried the Zabuton, Sasano-mi, and Kame-no-kou all at once, and except for the Kame-no-kou, they were delicious! According to the description, Kame-no-kou is supposed to be a soft meat, but it had a muscle-like hardness, making it difficult to chew and leaving a bad aftertaste. It was the most mediocre among the dishes in this set. However, Sasano-mi and Zabuton were delicious. I particularly liked Sasano-mi. It has a fair amount of fat, but it's delicious fat, so it's not heavy, and it complements the rice well. By the way, dessert is also included as a service. It's much higher quality than a typical yakiniku restaurant. The staff's service is good, the seats are clean, and most importantly, the meat is delicious. It's nice that both expensive and cheap meats are delicious. If this shop were nearby, I would definitely be a regular customer. ===========
