Moji Ward, Kitakyushu City. A shop that opened on July 15, 2023, on the first floor of the Seaport Plaza East Building. Rumor has it that a famous Karaage (Japanese fried chicken) shop from Kitakyushu is running it. The signature menu item is Takosenbei (octopus rice cracker). They also offer a variety of drinks such as Oolong tea, cola, fresh lemon soda, fresh banana milk, strawberry salty soda, pineapple salty soda, strawberry tea, pineapple tea, draft beer, and fresh lemon sour. This time, I purchased the Takosenbei (700 yen). Takosenbei is a huge rice cracker with a strong salty flavor. It's packed with chunks of octopus inside. This is definitely a great snack, perfect for pairing with beer. The only downside is that it's so big that it's hard to carry around. A giant Takosenbei that has become a specialty in Enoshima is now available in Kitakyushu. Thank you for the delicious meal.
