I had a craving for seafood bowl after a long time, so I went to this restaurant. It's called Sihachi Sengyo-ten, just a few minutes' walk from Sapporo Municipal Subway Namboku Line Kita 24-jo Station. It was past 8 p.m. when I arrived, but since the last order was at 9 p.m., I had no problem. I ordered the Salmon Ikura Bowl (tax included 1089 yen) plus a seating charge, and brewed my own tea while waiting. After a short wait, the overflowing salmon and ikura bowl was served. The sashimi was fresh as always. This time, I decided to enjoy the bowl with soy sauce from Kyushu. Finally, I ordered the additional charge Kinki (golden eye snapper) broth, poured it over the leftover salmon, and enjoyed it as ochazuke. The Kinki broth alone was delicious, but as ochazuke, it had an even deeper flavor. I must remember to order the Kinki broth again next time. Thank you for the meal.

Had dinner for the first time at Sihachi Sengyo-ten. Started with fresh oysters, followed by ramen salad and octopus sashimi paired with Sapporo Classic. The boat platter featured 7 types of fresh fish. Finished off with grilled shishamo and sushi for dessert, all delicious and great value for money.

I arrived right at 12 o'clock. There were two people waiting outside. I was seated after 5 minutes, but had to wait about 10 minutes inside. During that time, I looked at the seafood products being sold. When I was seated, the restaurant was still full. However, they were not seating people tightly at the table, with some tables having one person for every four seats. I noticed on the back of the lunch menu that they also have a dinner menu in gray color. You can choose between 350g or 280g of rice. Finally, the most popular rice bowl arrived. The bowl seemed a bit small, but it was filled with a generous amount of sashimi! The freshness was really good. There were two types of soy sauce to choose from, and I chose the richer one. It was quite filling and my stomach was satisfied. After finishing the meal and stepping outside, I was surprised to see that there was no longer the usual line of about 20 people waiting.

Luxurious banquet at a fishmonger with all-you-can-drink for 100 minutes: 5,000 yen (tax included). The course includes small dishes, 3 types of appetizers, a grand sashimi boat with 5 varieties, crab platter, seared marinated tuna, special tartar sauce with deep-fried oysters, 3 selected sushi pieces, and sea urchin ice cream. The ingredients are delivered fresh and the price is more reasonable compared to other places. This restaurant specializes in seafood, so there are no meat dishes. Recommended for those who love seafood. You can enjoy sashimi, sushi, crab, and more. The price of 5,000 yen with all-you-can-drink is considered good value for money. However, the variety of drinks is quite limited, with some sour options available. It's best to focus on the food when visiting this place.

Once you come to Hokkaido, you have to try the seafood. We went into a fish market with four people and they welcomed us warmly even though it was close to closing time. They served us sea urchin, crab, and salmon roe in abundance. The taste was amazing. I tried to avoid gaining weight by ordering a highball, but couldn't resist and ended up drinking sake. I definitely want to visit this place again next time I come to Hokkaido.

I think the seafood in Sapporo city is very cost-effective. When I entered the restaurant, they served three kinds of appetizers including raw sea cucumber with vinegar, sea squirt, and seasoned bamboo shoots. They were all you can eat and tasted great. I chose the Shi-Hachi seafood bowl as their number one dish. Even though I ordered a regular size, the portion was so big that it was quite challenging to finish. I eat a lot, but even I struggled. I think women might prefer a smaller portion of rice. Lastly, you can pour Kinki's broth over the rice and eat it as ochazuke. They really showcased the freshness of the ingredients. Personally, I felt that the lineup was fresh, but there was still a lingering fishy smell. People who are sensitive to fishy smells may notice it. The reason why the rating is high is because the appetizers were of high quality. Overall, I think the seafood in Sapporo city is of high quality.

The cost performance is amazing. I underestimated the Sunday of Bon. If you arrive at 10:58 for an 11:00 opening, there is already a line. First round full with 4 people ahead. Waited for 50 minutes under the scorching sun. Finally seated, ordered the Salmon and Negitoro Bowl for ¥1210. The bowl is filled with an abundance of negitoro on top, with layers of salmon underneath. It is a luxurious delicacy with rich flavors. In the latter half, ordered a KinKi Dashi for ¥100 and made ochazuke. No need for words. Just eat. Carried the burden of luxury and finished the meal. Thank you for the feast.

I had a seafood neba-neba bowl at Sihachi Sashimi Shop near the Subway Kita 24-jo Station. Under the seafood like eggs, shirasu, and tuna, there was a sweet soy sauce-covered neba-neba tororo (grated yam) on top of the rice bowl, which was delicious! When there was only rice left at the end, I generously poured the all-purpose seasoning on the table and it became delicious again! I noticed sea urchin ice cream after paying, I want to try it next time. I want to come back again!

There is a lot of media exposure, and the shops on Tanuki Koji Street are bustling with tourists, so I decided to try it out. I parked at a nearby coin parking lot and visited on a holiday at 12:30. There were 3 groups of 7 people waiting outside. We entered and were seated after a 25-minute wait. The dining area was at the back of a fresh fish shop. I ordered the most popular item, the "Shihachi Special 10-variety Seafood Bowl (1,749 yen)" with a regular size of rice (320g). It actually comes with 13 varieties of seafood (the daily selection is posted on the wall). I also ordered the "KinKi Dashi (110 yen)". The bowl arrived in about 15 minutes, overflowing with fresh fish. The presentation was visually appealing. I enjoyed it with two types of soy sauce. The sashimi tasted fresh, but nothing particularly special considering the price. There were no premium ingredients like sea urchin or salmon roe. The rice was white rice, and there was more rice at the bottom of the bowl than it appeared. I wish they had used vinegared rice instead. While white rice is fine, with this amount of seafood, it can get a bit monotonous. I left some rice towards the end and asked for KinKi Dashi to make ochazuke. It brought out the umami flavors. Is white rice their selling point? Overall, the cost performance is good compared to markets in Sapporo. So, I recommend it to tourists for the experience, but personally, I think once is enough.

On Saturday around 13:00, there were 4 people waiting. There are only 4 waiting seats, so we had to wait outside. We entered around 13:30. It's a fish market and a set meal restaurant. The seafood potato salad for ¥300 was the appetizer. The cuts were big, with a creamy texture and extremely delicious. Highly recommended. For the main dish, we had a salmon, scallop, and salmon roe bowl for ¥1408, and sea urchin for ¥1078. The scallops were thick and huge, and the sea urchin was rich and not fishy at all. Mixing in some sesame seeds enhanced the flavor. Is it common for seafood bowls to have warm rice? The heat from the rice transferred to the toppings, making the salmon lukewarm. It was like a French dish called "mi-cuit," somewhat half-cooked. I wonder if cold vinegared rice would be better. The staff were also very kind! Now, off to a live show! Feeling pumped up!

A dining place attached to a fish market. You can enjoy seafood bowls and izakaya dishes in the seating area at the back. The fish market opens at 10 am, and seafood lunch is available from 11 am. I arrived on Saturday at 11 am, and there was no line, but I just made it in time for the first round of seating. The seating area at the back only has table seats and is quite small. Looking around, there were mostly women, and I, as a lone man, felt a bit out of place (laughs).
[Order]
- Fresh tuna, salmon, scallop, salmon roe jewel bowl (¥1408)
- Kinmedai fish stock (¥110)
It took quite some time for the food to arrive after ordering. I entered at 11 am and got my bowl at 11:30 am. The presentation was fantastic and artistic, so I guess it's understandable. The size of the bowl was smaller than I had imagined, but it was packed with thick slices of sashimi and a good amount of rice. This time, I ordered the regular size, which was 320g. For women, the small size of 250g would be satisfying enough. There were two types of soy sauce, and halfway through the meal, I poured the high-quality kinmedai fish stock over it to enjoy it like ochazuke. It was incredibly delicious, and I was very satisfied. The price was around 1500 yen for this quality, so I think it's very cost-effective.

We visited the restaurant at night with two people. It was fun to choose from several types of appetizers♪ They were all fresh, sweet, and delicious♡ For the finale, we had a crab, sea urchin, shrimp, and salmon roe rice bowl. The amount was so generous that it felt like it might spill over! The bowl may look small, but it's deep, so there's quite a lot of rice. The staff were very polite and provided wonderful service, making it a great restaurant. I would love to go again*ˊᵕˋ*

I went for the first time in a while, about the 7th visit. The menu has changed and the "Salmon Ikura Don" has been removed, replaced by the "Fresh Toro Salmon Scallop Ikura Jewel Bowl". When ordering, they ask how much rice you want, "Regular or Small", I chose Regular. The sashimi is delicious so the rice goes quickly. If you run out, you can order extra rice (110 yen), but be careful as the side dishes may run out. Personally, I consider it a representative restaurant for lunch near the subway station at Kita 24-jo.

Since yesterday, I've been on a seafood streak. I actually prefer meat, but oh boy, the seafood in Sapporo is just amazing. The conveyor belt sushi I had for lunch yesterday, the sashimi I had for dinner, and even the fresh oysters were all incredibly delicious. Today, I visited Shi-Hachi Sengyoten. Despite it being a weekday, I arrived at 10:50 and there was no line. I ordered the 10 kinds of seafood bowl for 1,749 yen. The portion was generous and the taste was excellent. At first, I transferred some of the sashimi to a plate until the rice was visible, and tried both types of soy sauce alternately. Surprisingly, the richer one was also delicious! But in the end, I mixed wasabi, sesame, and green onions into the normal soy sauce and poured it over the bowl. Towards the end, the tea poured over the rice for ochazuke was also delicious. When I left, the place was full, so I might head to the airport for some miso ramen. Thank you, Sapporo!

I felt like having seafood bowl after a long time, so I visited the original restaurant located in Kita 24-jo. Compared to before, there were fewer tourists this time, so there were some empty seats and the process from entering to ordering went smoothly. I ordered the famous 10 kinds of seafood bowl and kinki dashi. It took about 8 minutes for the food to arrive. As usual, the toppings were served separately on a plate for making ochazuke. I enjoyed the seafood bowl with the remaining toppings and poured the kinki dashi over the rice. It was the best seafood ochazuke. However, I made one mistake... I forgot to check the 10 kinds of toppings. I will make sure to check next time.

Telework lunch at #Shihachi Sashimi Shop. I had the daily special bowl and the ikura jewel box, both were delicious. The daily special bowl is reasonably priced and you can enjoy a three-color bowl with tuna, white fish, and scallops beautifully arranged and tasty. The jewel box bowl with salmon and scallops also offers good value. The bowls may seem a bit small at first, but they are actually quite satisfying and delicious until the last bite. It was delicious! #Sashimi bowl #Sashimi bowl lunch #Daily special bowl #Instagrammable #North24Gourmet

This was my first visit. I've always wanted to come to this shop! Inside the shop, they sell seafood, and we were guided to our seats at the back. For lunch, I had the fresh tuna and salmon bowl for 1210 yen, and also got a service of three kinds of fresh fish bowl for 1089 yen - yellowtail, scallop, soy, and trout! It was so delicious! The seafood was fresh and amazing! Thank you for the meal!!!

Title: Amazing Seafood Bowl Restaurant!
As the title suggests, this place is amazing, like really amazing! There are plenty of seafood bowl restaurants with excellent freshness and taste, but they tend to be on the pricier side. However, Shihachi Sengyo-ten is a place that blows away those concerns! The freshness is outstanding, the taste is delicious, and the prices are delightful! You can see for yourself by looking at the menu photos. I had the Shihachi Special 10-Kind Seafood Bowl for 1,590 yen, and my partner had the Premium Tuna, Salmon, Scallop, and Salmon Roe Jewel Bowl for 1,280 yen! I believe that the "value" exceeds the prices. We went on a Sunday night at 8 pm and managed to get a seat, but I'm sure it will become a popular spot with lines in the future. I will definitely be back! Thank you for the wonderful meal!

I visited this restaurant in February 2023 and enjoyed the hearty dishes and delicious local sake, so I decided to revisit in May. However, to cut to the chase, I was disappointed. First of all, they only had health-conscious options for draft beer. The Sapporo Classic bottle was available last time, so I toasted with that, but it was no longer included in the all-you-can-drink menu. And to make matters worse, the local sake was also excluded from the all-you-can-drink option! It felt like half the reason for coming all the way to Kita 24-jo was gone... Anyway, I tried to cheer up and toasted with the health-conscious draft beer. The customer next to me, who seemed to be enjoying themselves, said it was surprisingly good, but indeed, it wasn't lacking in taste as a beer. A surprising discovery. As for the food, they were lined up from the start. Last time, they had a seafood hot pot with plenty of ingredients, but it wasn't available this time, and the appetizers were fewer in volume compared to last time. However, each dish was delicious and went well with the alcohol. Even though it wasn't all-you-can-drink, I tried the local sake... The grilled dish was the same as last time, with deliciously fatty meat. I finished with 3 pieces of sushi and Uni ice cream for dessert. The oyster fry that was available last time was also missing... The freshness and volume of the sashimi didn't seem like it was directly from a fish market, and honestly, if it's going to be like this, I might not come back next time... I understand that prices are high and it's tough, so I think it's okay to raise prices a bit... Thank you for the meal.

My daughter recommended the seafood bowl lunch at Sihachi Sengyo-ten. We arrived right after opening, but it was already full from the first round. We waited for about 30 minutes before being seated. While sipping on a classic drink, we waited for the Sihachi seafood bowl. Topped with thick slices of fresh tuna, salmon, scallops, yellowtail, herring, black sea bream, horse mackerel, and more, we enjoyed a generous serving of seafood bowl. For the finishing touch, we ordered extra broth and enjoyed a tea-infused rice bowl with white fish toppings. It was also delicious.

I was very satisfied with the all-you-can-drink coupon that allowed me to enjoy Sapporo Classic bottled beer for only 1,800 yen! The fresh seafood served was reasonably priced, and I was especially impressed by the delicious grilled striped Atka mackerel.
