This is a salad shop located in the depachika (department store basement) of Tobu Ikebukuro. They have a variety of stylish deli salads, as well as bento boxes. When I went 30 minutes before closing, they were having a 50% off sale! Normally, their deli salads can be pricey, but I thought, "Half off sounds good!" and decided to line up. I chose the cauliflower and uikyo (Chinese chives) with quinoa salad from the selection. It came with Caesar salad dressing. The rich dressing paired with thinly sliced cauliflower and quinoa made for a luxurious salad (*^^*). I also bought some pickles on the side. They looked stylish, but tasted like tangy pickles! Whether it's salad or pickles, this depachika shop offers delicious ways to enjoy vegetables.

Sage & Fennel is a deli specialty store that recently opened at Tobu Department Store in Ikebukuro. They mainly sell bento boxes and salads. I tried the deli meat chicken salad. The lentil salad, carrot salad, beet and apple salad, and cucumber salad each had a different seasoning and were all delicious! Plus, there were two thick slices of tender chicken breast! It was very soft, easy to eat, and tasty.

*Waiting time* No wait on Tuesday at 7:43 pm *Order & Price* Seared Salmon Power Salad for 367 yen (-50%) *Atmosphere* The shop had many products that seemed good for the body. *Service* Most items were 50% off as it was close to closing time. *Impressions* Despite being called a salad, it also includes pasta and brown rice, so it is satisfying. However, the portion size is not very large. The salad includes fluffy sunny lettuce, crunchy watercress, and tastes fresh. The colorful appearance is thanks to Treviso, yellow cauliflower, and broccoli. The broccoli was large and creamy with mayonnaise, making it delicious. The barley, pressed wheat, brown rice, and lentils provided a chewy texture. The pasta had a simple taste with only a tangy tomato sauce, which did not stick together and was easy to eat. The salmon looks more like grilled salmon than salmon itself, boneless and easy to eat, but the skin and flesh were firmly attached, making it a bit difficult to separate. The taste is light with little fat. *Expectations* It would be nice to have bread as an addition for just the right amount. I would like to try the pasta next time.

From 10am to 12pm, there is a 500 yen sale on rice bowl dishes like taco rice and power salads. The salads are usually priced around 700-800 yen, so it's quite a deal! I purchased the power salad with grilled salmon. It had a generous portion of salmon, but the leaf salad portion was a bit small. It didn't quite fill me up, so I felt that I needed something more substantial like potato salad. Considering the price, it's definitely a good deal, more like department store basement prices.

I used to visit this place occasionally. I come here when I want to eat a stylish salad. The salads here may seem a bit expensive in terms of portion size, but considering the effort and cost of preparing all these ingredients by myself, it's understandable. Still, it does feel a bit pricey. Well, that's how it is with salads bought outside, I guess. When it's close to closing time, they usually offer discounts, so it's a good time to buy. This time, I chose the ricotta cheese and kale salad. It also had granola, which added a nice texture along with the ricotta cheese. The marinated horse mackerel was just okay. Actually, I don't really like the side dishes here, so I thought, "Well, that's how it is," and finished my meal. Thank you for the meal.

Ikebukuro Tobu. Stylish deli, salads, and bento takeout shop with lemonade. The lemonade is soaked in black pepper and herbs, mixed with carbonated water. It may be irresistible for those who love spices, but it's a lemonade with quite a unique flavor.
