Takara Maruyama. Takara Izumi-Otsu. Recently, they have also opened a branch at Takashimaya Dining Maison. Truly amazing. Anyway, it's a authentic sushi restaurant with good taste. And the cost performance is also good. It's not like those places where you don't know the prices. This time, I went with my son and others who returned home after a long time, so I spent a lot of money, but on a regular day it's about 7,000 yen per person. It's quite good for authentic sushi. The recommended dishes here are the local Anago nigiri that has been popular since old times. You can't miss this. Also, the specialty, Wasabi Maki. It has a good balance with fresh wasabi. Inside, there is chutoro. It's incredibly delicious! This is a must-try! Also, the local Izumi water eggplant asazuke. And the local delicacy, Gatcho's karaage. Gatcho is a type of megochi. It's karaage made by splitting into 3 pieces. It goes perfectly with drinks.

This was my first visit, and we had a meal with four people. We had made a reservation in advance. The restaurant is located near Izumi Hashimoto Station on the Semboku Line. One person doesn't drink alcohol at all, so they drove us there. We were guided to a private room on the second floor. We started with a toast with draft beer. After the appetizers, sashimi was served, including tuna, sweet shrimp, scallops, and striped jack. It was quite ordinary. Next was a sukiyaki-style hot pot (I forgot to take a photo). The meat was tender and the broth was delicious. Then came the tempura, which also had an ordinary taste. After that, we had a few pieces of sushi and chawanmushi. The chawanmushi was lightly seasoned but tasty. Finally, we had dessert and coffee was served. It was a bit strange to have coffee after Japanese cuisine in the Izumi area.

First visit‼️ The restaurant was clean and we dined in a private room on the second floor, sitting on low chairs. We reserved the Maruyama course. We had sashimi, grilled dishes, simmered fish, tempura, sushi, the famous wasabi roll, and the eel box that we wanted to try. The wasabi had a good flavor but was not spicy at all‼️ It was good in a way... but also a little disappointing... All the dishes were delicious. The staff's service was also good‼️ I love sushi, but I have allergies so I often can't eat it. I'm grateful that they accommodated my shellfish allergy ☺️

Famous markets in Osaka are like Tsukiji used to be in Tokyo or Tsukiji is now, where high-quality ingredients are concentrated. Therefore, fresh seafood dishes and top-notch sushi restaurants are concentrated in Osaka city. Considering this, I usually have an idea of what to eat. In Osaka city, you can get fast-melting fatty tuna at a reasonable price with high quality. Eel and mackerel, which do not require as much freshness, can also be enjoyed in the southern part of Osaka. Especially, the eel at this restaurant is excellent! One thing that surprised me was the wasabi-wrapped sushi. It looked like regular sushi but was actually crab wrapped in wasabi, giving it a mild and easy-to-eat flavor. The presentation of this dish is also quite surprising.

It's about a 10-minute walk from the nearest station. There are plenty of parking spaces in front of the store and in the second parking lot. Inside the restaurant, there is a counter and tatami seating for banquets. This time, we had a course menu for 5,000 to 6,000 yen. It included crab vinegar, sashimi, fried food, grilled dishes, sushi, and dessert, but overall it felt more like a catering service rather than a sushi restaurant. I might not be eager to use it again.

I always use it when there are celebrations and such~♪ My eldest daughter loves it so much... it's going to be tough... She always orders lotus root manju, conger eel, squid, natto rolls, datemaki, etc. Today, the datemaki was sold out and there was only one roll available (´；ω；｀). Reservations are a must. I was seated at the counter and ordered the recommended sushi menu for 3200 yen. I also ordered a draft beer. The sushi was made at a good pace and I enjoyed it. The taste was surprisingly delicious. My friend had a meeting with someone here and they were both very pleased. The atmosphere of the restaurant was nice, and the interior was quite clean, making it a comfortable place to dine. I will definitely go back again.

The steamed conger eel was fluffy and satisfying. The prawns were plump and delicious. There is a main store called "Takara Sushi" nearby. It is a long-established restaurant in Kaizuka, and they have also hosted parties here. I went for lunch once, and I think sitting at the counter would be better here. (Sushi is best enjoyed at the counter.) I would love to visit this restaurant again when I have my bonus.
