Located in the drinking district in front of Sakai Higashi Station, is the izakaya TANTO. The interior of the restaurant is clean and the staff are friendly, making it a great place to visit. The food is delicious and there is a wide variety of dishes and drinks available, which was surprising. You can't go wrong with this place if you're looking for a restaurant to visit.

At a New Year's party plan for a second party with colleagues, with a 120-minute all-you-can-drink option for 3,500 yen. Caesar salad, addictive salted cucumbers, fried chicken, eringi and squid sautéed in soy butter, crab cream croquette, dashimaki tamago (rolled omelette), french fries, grilled chicken tenderloin on a hot plate, sauce yakisoba, and mini desserts were included in the menu. The hot dishes were served warm and the taste of the food was better than average chain restaurants. The restaurant had a large table in front of the counter, a large table in the back, and smaller tables for four people, each section slightly separated but not cramped. It was a convenient place to use for a second party.

In Sakai East, a fashionable new shop has opened again. I didn't even notice it... in a place like this??? From the outside, the interior is more spacious than I imagined. The high ceiling and numerous hanging lights create a bright and open space, with a very stylish atmosphere. The items I ordered were as follows:
- Dashimaki Tamago (Japanese rolled omelette) for 490 yen
- Grilled Shrimp with Mayonnaise for 690 yen
- French Fries for 390 yen
- White Wine with Chilli for 1,900 yen
I could only eat a little because I was already full that day, which was very disappointing. Next time, I definitely want to enjoy delicious dishes when I'm hungry. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal~

This is also a relatively new shop located along a narrow alleyway. The bright and cheerful atmosphere can be easily seen from the outside, making it a nice bar-style izakaya. It seems like a great place to sit back and enjoy a drink, so I decided to end my night here. The interior is clean and made with valuable wood, and I was guided to a cozy booth seat that was just right in terms of size. Since I still had plenty of room for more drinks, I went with wine as expected. There were many sold-out wines, so my options were limited. I ended up choosing a bottle of Chilean white wine for 1900 yen. For food, I ordered fried potatoes for 390 yen, dashimaki tamago (Japanese rolled omelet) for 490 yen, and seared shrimp with mayonnaise for 690 yen. Everything was delicious. After finishing the bottle, I ended the night with a lemon sour for 380 yen. The shop's design is stylish and the menu offers a variety of food options, making it a versatile place for both casual drinks and leisurely nights out. Since it's located along a narrow alleyway, it has a bit of a hidden gem vibe. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

Third stop d(^-^) This place seems to be a dining bar. Lately, new restaurants are popping up here and there, right? The bright and clean interior is quite common these days. Well, that's probably because some places have closed down, I guess (´-ω-`) Let's start with a lemon sour... Oh, you're switching to white wine?! Alright! For snacks, we got complimentary appetizers, rolled omelette, shrimp mayo, and french fries ♥️. I'll have another lemon sour... but my friend ordered red wine and didn't like it, so she got it exchanged. ※She's a bit picky (>_<) From around this place, graveyard talk started to come up as we got tipsy, but I don't remember much. The shrimp mayo was deliciously crunchy, and the french fries were surprisingly tasty (lol). Time flew by in the blink of an eye, and it was past 11 o'clock, so we decided to call it a night! Thank you as always. Itadakimasu and gochisousama deshita m(__)m.

Sakai Higashi "TANTO"
Today's shop is from Sakai Higashi. The second stop on the Sakai Higashi tour from the previous visit to Xavier-san is here! It was a visit after eating and drinking too much at the previous shop, but since I rarely come to Sakai Higashi, I thought, let's go! Simple yet stylish izakaya with a surprisingly spacious interior. Counter and table seats. There are also box seats, making it suitable for casual drinking alone or for a light date or drinking party. Despite its simple design, the effective use of lighting makes it stylish. Although it is called a casual izakaya, it seems to be popular with women. Attention to detail in each dish! I could only eat a little because I ate and drank too much at the previous shop... I ordered the popular menu items! But each dish is carefully prepared. Ah, I want to eat more next time... The appetizer is macaroni salad, to be precise, fijilli salad. Gentle... simple taste. Beef tendon and tofu for 480 yen. The beef tendons with a generous amount of tofu are so tender and melt in your mouth...!! The sweet and savory broth has soaked well into the konjac...!! Ah, gentle. Dashimaki tamago (Japanese omelette) for 480 yen. Dashimaki? Omelette? Which is it? Let's taste it! The gentle dashi flavor and the fluffy, bouncy omelette complement each other well! It is elegantly finished, but the taste is Japanese-style. This makes you want to drink alcohol...!! Other menu items are listed on the blackboard menu. There are various other menu items, but let's stop here for today. I want to eat heartily next time I come back! Today, my family had a New Year's gathering at a lively and slightly exciting restaurant we stumbled upon. The atmosphere was bright with a bar-like feel, which was nice. The appetizer was a chicken-based dish with a Japanese twist, unexpectedly delicious. We ordered bottled beer for 550 yen, Jim Beam highball for 380 yen, and there were three types of highball to choose from. The sashimi carpaccio with yuzu pepper for 680 yen was refreshing and tasty. The rolled omelette in dashimaki style for 480 yen was incredibly delicious and fluffy. Highly recommended! The "Red Ball Punch" for 380 yen was like a light wine sour. The homemade potato salad for 380 yen had a strong garlic flavor, perfect for those who enjoy garlic. The hormone miso stir-fry on an iron plate for 680 yen was well-seasoned and the vegetables were crunchy. The half-cooked egg rice bowl for 380 yen was a hit with my son. The "Imo Rock" for 380 yen and "Roku Soda" for 600 yen were refreshing and enjoyable. The grated mountain yam and green onion omelette for 480 yen was light and fluffy, with a unique texture. The fried chicken for 480 yen had a flavorful marinade and was delicious. All the dishes we ordered were tasty and worth the price. I'm happy to have found a restaurant that suits my taste and I will definitely visit again. The restaurant seems new, but I have a feeling it will become even better once it establishes its concept. I hope they continue to thrive. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

So, this year's Gashibar happened again. It feels like once a year, in February. And that's fine. Doing it too often is not good. Plus, it's also good publicity for the restaurants as we head into the year-end and New Year party season.
First stop was at the dining bar TANTO, which used to be where Namunu was located. It seems quite reasonably priced. Since it was still early, there was only one Gashibar customer there. The menu looks like this ↓ https://blogs.yahoo.co.jp/fry2567/29864888.html
For this Gashibar menu, you get two appetizers, a half-sized rolled omelette, and a drink. It's quite luxurious, isn't it? For the drink, I went with a Jim Beam highball.
The two appetizers were a homemade potato salad and homemade pickles. The potato salad was simple and delicious. The pickles were perfect with the highball due to the vinegar. The half-sized rolled omelette also made an appearance. The texture was firm on the outside but fluffy on the inside. It wasn't melt-in-your-mouth, but it was still delicious as an omelette.
Looking at the menu, it's a reasonably priced and nice restaurant. Gashibar is truly a great opportunity to discover new restaurants. Thank you for the meal~♪
