Received: Hamburger & Spicy Chicken Nanban for 1450 yen (tax included). A cozy Western-style restaurant where you can enjoy your meal with nice chopsticks. The dishes are elegantly presented. Closed on Wednesdays, accepts card payments, and offers take-out bento boxes. The food was delicious. Thank you for the meal. I would love to come back again if I have the chance.

"Bistro Tokitsu" is a long-established Western-style restaurant in Kurume that is popular among women and bustling during weekdays from lunchtime. I had known about this place for a while but for some reason had never visited until today when a friend took me. I tried the hamburger and diced steak lunch, and it was really delicious, just as rumored! I want to try other menu items as well, so I think I'll come back soon, maybe with my wife next time. Thank you for the wonderful meal! ^_^

Kurume City Bistro Tokitsu. Visited for the first time with a friend at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday after checking the COVID-19 measures in advance. Wow! I didn't know there was such a stylish Western food restaurant on this street in Kurume City. We parked on the first floor where the parking lot is, and entered the restaurant on the second floor. The interior was spacious and had a calm atmosphere. As a new coronavirus measure, hand sanitizer was available, tables were spaced apart for social distancing, and they were disinfected each time customers left. We ordered the Wagyu hamburger & diced steak set meal for 1,450 yen including tax from the many lunch menu options. Shortly after ordering, salad and soup were brought to us. The salad had crispy fried sweet potatoes on top, adding a crunchy texture that enhanced the flavor of the salad. The soup was a lightly warm minestrone with plenty of vegetables. Five minutes later, the main dish of hamburger & diced steak, along with rice, was served. Both the hamburger and diced steak were topped with plenty of green onions. The hamburger was a bit small but tender and delicious, complementing well with the Japanese-style sauce. The diced steak was delicious, with high-quality meat that didn't have any unpleasant smell. Finally, we had a dark roasted coffee. Thank you for the meal. When most of the customers had left, we realized it was nearing the end of lunchtime. We will definitely visit again.

The first floor is a parking lot, and the restaurant is on the second floor. The lunch menu offers a wide variety, including Western dishes like hamburgers that all look delicious. The calm atmosphere inside the restaurant has plenty of seating with spacious gaps between tables. This time, I had the hamburger lunch. The lunch set includes a salad and a vegetable-rich soup. The original sauce on the hamburger was very tasty, and I enjoyed the meal. I would love to visit again when I crave delicious Western food.

I visited this restaurant for lunch on a holiday. It has an old-fashioned Western-style atmosphere where you can relax. I ordered the hamburger and spicy chicken nanban. The hamburger had a homely taste with a firm meat texture. The chicken nanban was similar to oil-drizzled chicken, without tartar sauce. It had a sweet and spicy taste. Even the salad, not to mention the main dishes, was quite delicious, and I thought it was a very nice restaurant.

Kurume has several delicious hamburger restaurants, and "Tokitsu" is one of them. I remember when this restaurant first opened in Tsucho, I loved it so much that I would go there once a week. It must have been close to 30 years ago, and I believe it was located where the cake shop Tsuruta is now. At that time, I remember that this restaurant was the first in Kurume to serve a curry with a creamy omelette, which became very popular quickly. They then moved to a larger location in Higashiaikawa, where A Price is currently located, but it didn't work out well, so they moved to their current location. Since relocating, the restaurant has become extremely popular, always full at lunchtime and attracting a clientele of housewives looking for a place to relax. Whenever I tried to go, the parking lot was always full, so I ended up not going after they moved. It has been a long time since the move, and one day around 11 am, I happened to pass by and saw no cars parked outside, so I decided to give it a try. Since it was just after opening on a weekday, I was the only customer. The restaurant looked like a family restaurant from the outside, but inside, it was a stylish and sophisticated dining place. I ordered the "Wagyu Hamburger & Sirloin Steak" set, which came with salad, soup, and bread or rice. The salad and soup arrived first, and they were delicious, made with care. Then came the main dish of hamburger and sirloin steak. It had been a while since I last had it, but it was just as delicious as before! I've been going to various restaurants for food blog content, but popular restaurants that have been around for a long time like this one are definitely delicious. I regret not coming here for so long. The meat was high quality, and the sauce was incredibly delicious. I wanted to eat more because it was so delicious. Next time, I think I'll try the Jumbo Hamburger or 1.5 times the size steak. The side dishes were also very tasty. If I time it right, I can enjoy a leisurely meal, so I plan to visit more often from now on. Thank you for the meal.

I visited for lunch on a regular day and made a reservation by phone. The building has a parking lot on the first floor and the restaurant is on the second floor. I arrived right when they opened. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was calming and gave a feeling of delicious anticipation. The menu was extensive, with options like meat and pasta. For the kids, we ordered kids' lunch, omurice, pasta, hamburger, and dice steak. You can choose between rice and bread. Each lunch came with salad first, with crispy julienned sweet potatoes providing a nice texture contrast. The dressing was also delicious. Next, we had consomme soup and the main dishes were served. We had hamburger and dice steak. The hamburger was juicy and delicious, and we wanted more or a larger portion! The dice steak, likely made from harami, paired well with the homemade sauce and had a great meaty texture. It was also delicious! We almost ran out of rice because it was so tasty. The iced coffee we had after the meal was slightly bitter and a fitting end to the meal. They also have dinner service, so I imagine there are even more high-end menu options in the evening. I will definitely visit again.

I have been wanting to visit this restaurant for a while now, ever since I had their delicious European-style curry a few days ago. Today, I decided to try their Wagyu hamburger steak for lunch. The restaurant is located in Shojima-cho, Kurume City, Fukuoka Prefecture, about 20 kilometers away. Upon arrival, I was seated at a table on the second floor by a young woman wearing a mask. I ordered the Wagyu hamburger steak (Japanese-style sauce) for 1100 yen, which came with rice, soup, salad, and coffee. The hamburger steak took about 12 minutes to cook and was served with a nice sear on the outside. It was juicy and flavorful, with a hint of citrus in the sauce. The portion was generous, and I enjoyed the unique addition of green onions on top. The accompanying dishes included a small portion of spaghetti, potato salad, and steamed broccoli and pumpkin. I wished there was more rice, but I managed to satisfy my hunger with water. Overall, I had a pleasant dining experience and left the restaurant feeling satisfied.

The restaurant is known for offering curry, hamburgers, and pasta dishes in a European style. I decided to visit the place, hoping to find a menu with spaghetti Napolitan. However, curry seems to be the popular choice among customers. I arrived at the restaurant located in Kurume, Fukuoka Prefecture, which is about 23 kilometers away. Upon arrival, I ordered the European-style beef curry for 1100 yen (excluding tax), which came with salad, soup, and coffee. The curry was served on a large plate with about 200 grams of rice and a few small pieces of meat, possibly beef shank. The curry was not spicy, more like medium in spiciness, and had a layer of soft cheese on top. I enjoyed the rich and flavorful taste of the curry, which had a hint of spice and depth. The meal did not feel heavy on the stomach, and I also had a vegetable soup and salad with fried sweet potato slices. The coffee served after the meal was American-style, not too strong or bitter. The chef, who appeared to be around 60 years old, was accompanied by his wife and possibly their daughter, who seemed to be part of the staff. I plan to return to try their hamburger next time.

The hamburger has an irregular shape, so I wonder if they don't use any fillers. I like the homemade feel. When you cut into the hamburger, the concentrated meat juice comes gushing out. The salty hamburger goes perfectly with the sweet sauce. Personally, I prefer the chicken nanban. The outside is crispy, while the inside is filled with fluffy chicken meat. The sweet and sour sauce complements the chicken very well. The service was polite. I like this old-fashioned restaurant. The black interior is calming. The salad, soup, bread, main dish, and drink for ¥1000 is a great deal. It was delicious! Thank you for the meal!

Today, this restaurant is perfect for visits from all generations, from people in their 20s to 50s. It is always bustling with customers of all ages, but the seating is spacious and allows for a relaxed dining experience. The fact that you can eat with chopsticks may be popular among older customers. The dessert plates are always beautifully presented and look amazing. The cozy and elegant atmosphere, without any pretentiousness, makes it feel like a top-notch restaurant.

Initially, we were planning to go to another restaurant, but my family suddenly decided to try the pasta of the month here. We had a disappointing experience in the past when we arrived at 1:30 and found a closed sign, even though they were supposed to be open until 2:00. Luckily, this time we found a parking spot under the roof, as it started raining. The pasta of the month was "Clam Tomato Sauce (Vongole Rosso)" for 1000 yen (excluding tax). I decided to try the recommended dish of the day, "Hamburger & Spicy Chicken Nanban" for 1000 yen (excluding tax). The clam pasta had a good amount of clams and a nice balance of flavors. The hamburger and chicken were served without utensils, which was surprising. The hamburger had a good flavor and the chicken nanban was basically fried chicken with tartar sauce. The rice was delicious but the portion was a bit small. Overall, the meal came with coffee for 1000 yen (excluding tax). It was a decent experience, but maybe a bit overpriced.

I noticed that you can choose fresh pasta for lunch here, so my family and I came here seeking the pasta lunch. The monthly special for October was shrimp and cheese in American sauce, and I wanted to have it with fresh pasta, but they only had enough for one serving. However, I was able to compare the fresh pasta with the dried pasta. First, they brought out a salad and soup. The soup seemed to be onion consommé soup. The salad had simple ingredients, but the presentation was appealing. The pasta arrived with American sauce, made from shrimp, crab shells, and other ingredients. Some people might not like it, but those who do will really enjoy it. It was definitely worth coming here for. For someone like me who is on a budget, it was more than enough. There is a difference in texture between fresh and dried pasta, but with such delicious sauce, it doesn't matter which one you have. I realized that most udon noodles eaten in restaurants are fresh, so maybe most pasta restaurants in Italy also use fresh pasta. This time, I came here specifically for the fresh pasta, but I would like to come back to try other dishes because the taste, service, and cleanliness of the restaurant were all excellent. Initially, I was intimidated by the tough-looking customers in the area, but thanks to the previous review, I felt comfortable coming in as an ordinary person.

I went to Bistro Tokitsu (a long-established Western-style restaurant in Kurume) thinking that the typhoon would be over soon. The appearance and interior of the restaurant give off a slightly high-class French vibe, but the lunch prices are reasonable, averaging around 1000 yen. I went with my family and ordered small shrimp pasta, spicy Nanban chicken, hamburger & lunch plate, and European-style curry. My spicy Nanban chicken wasn't very spicy, but the skin was crispy and delicious. The hamburger was cooked just right, with a nice sear on the outside and packed with heat and flavor inside, showing skilled craftsmanship. The soup was vegetable soup. The salad included fried sweet potatoes, which was a unique touch, although it might be a bit difficult to eat. I didn't dislike it. The pasta was also delicious. This restaurant seems to have a stable deliciousness and many regular customers. Thank you for the meal.

I had the lunch set with hamburger and bite-sized steak. It came with a small amount of spaghetti as a side dish. Overall, it wasn't very delicious. The taste was mediocre and unsatisfying, which was disappointing. The service from the waiter was also not good. It's not a high-end restaurant, so I guess it's understandable, but when pouring water, the waiter suddenly took the glass without saying anything while we were in the middle of a conversation, which was off-putting. I think the owner should provide better training. Even the final coffee seemed like it was reheated in a pot. I couldn't enjoy the aroma or flavor.

I ordered hamburger and chicken nanban without thinking about the calories. Super high in calories!!! The chicken nanban had a crispy coating and the hamburger had a delicious black sauce. I ate until I was completely full! I was so full that my body felt hot!

I first reviewed this restaurant when I started posting reviews on Tabelog, not too long ago. It has been 7 years since then, and now with over 2,000 reviews, the ratings seem to have become more varied. "Bistro Tokitsu", it's been a while since I last visited. The restaurant is a two-story building with a parking lot on the first floor. It's nice to be able to park in the shade on a hot sunny day. I visited at 11:30, expecting it to be quite crowded, but surprisingly, the parking lot was empty, maybe due to the influence of the new coronavirus. Up the stairs and into the second-floor dining area. We were seated at a window-side table for four after informing the staff that there were two of us. The bench seats along the wall make for a comfortable seating arrangement. It was a Sunday when I visited, and I was glad to see that they offered a lunch menu. There were 7 lunch options under the name "Tokitsu Lunch". I chose the "Wagyu Hamburger & Sirloin Steak (1,200 yen, tax not included)". A salad was served first, topped with shredded and crispy fried sweet potatoes, giving it a unique and crunchy texture. The soup was a vegetable-packed minestrone consommé. Then came the Wagyu Hamburger & Sirloin Steak. The sirloin steak was delicious without the typical beef smell. The hamburger, seasoned with nutmeg, was also very good, focusing on the beef's flavor. After enjoying the meal, I had a milk tea, and as part of the September birthday event, I received a mandarin orange sherbet as a bonus. It tasted just like a Wenzhou mandarin. I asked the staff and found out that they have been at this location for 17 years. I may have given too high of a rating in the past (I adjusted it this time), but this restaurant definitely offers a balanced high-quality experience in terms of service, atmosphere, and food at a reasonable price. I would definitely recommend this place to others. As I left after paying, I noticed that the parking lot below was almost full. It's definitely a popular spot. Thank you for the meal.
