牛丼仮面
I happened to be driving on National Route 26 for work when I noticed a new ramen shop had opened! And there were already 8 reviews posted! As a local, I feel embarrassed that I haven't been keeping up with reviews from my own town. I can almost hear the locals yelling at me to review more often. So, I quickly went to check out the new shop during my lunch break. I arrived just 10 minutes after opening, and there was already one customer at the counter and a couple with a child at a table. It seemed like they knew the owner. Since the shop had only been open for a little over a week, the ticket machine wasn't in operation yet, so I ordered the Chicken and Seafood Ramen (900 yen) verbally after being seated. It was ready in about 5 minutes. First, I tried the soup. The soup, made from simmering chicken and seafood without any additives, was light yet full of chicken flavor. The soy sauce had a nice kick to it too. The noodles were firm and flat, and they paired well with the soup. The toppings included rare chicken chashu, pork shoulder chashu, pork block chashu, wonton, seasoned egg, bamboo shoots, and green onions. Initially, I was a bit taken aback by the price of 900 yen, but after tasting it, I found it to be worth it. The rare chicken chashu and wonton were particularly delicious. The surprise of the fully cooked seasoned egg was also a hit with me. Previously, Kaizuka was considered a ramen wasteland, but with Taketoi opening last year and now this delicious ramen shop, I am thrilled. Before, Asahikawa was the only choice for ramen in Kaizuka! I've always been fond of the taste from Asahikawa since my student days, but lately, it's been hard to get in due to the long lines. In that sense, having more options is a great welcome for us locals. Thank you for the meal!
