After my medical examination at the hospital, I had some time before heading to the lunch restaurant, so I rode my bicycle to a factory-direct store called Maeda Seika (Atarimae Maeda's crackers). Maeda Seika is a company located in Sakai and has no relation to the hospital. I have visited this store a few times in the past and there are always quite a few customers. They sell several types of popular rice crackers, my favorite cheesecake (6-inch for 230 yen), and the end of a Danish pastry for 250 yen. They also have mitarashi dango - mitarashi (80 yen each) and shirayaki with honey and kinako (90 yen each). The mitarashi dango is made to order. The prices are reasonable overall. This time, I bought a variety of items to take home.

A group of macho men on a TV show were saying "dango is the best!" because it has less fat compared to carbohydrates. They were excited to visit Maeda-san, who is famous for his dango, but unfortunately they were sold out. Despite this, they bought some ohagi and senbei and went home. They were impressed by how cheap Maeda-san's products were.

I am sorry, I am a citizen of Kishiwada, but I went shopping in Fujiidera. I bought freshly made mitarashi dango at Osaka Maeda Seika, a familiar shop at Moguraya's direct sales store. I put it in a cool (or warm?) bag and kept it hot until I got home. Oh, well, I guess price increases are inevitable in this day and age. Still, at this quality, one stick for 80 yen is delicious as always!! As a bonus, I also bought a cheesecake. The larger one on top is ¥230, and the smaller one on the bottom is ¥180. Both are cheap and delicious, so I am very satisfied!

I was able to buy sweets cheaply♬ and I ate freshly baked mitarashi dango and kinako dango, which were delicious♬ There is only space for about 2 cars in the parking lot, so it's narrow. But since there are no cars parked for a long time, even if it's full, a space opens up quickly.

After refreshing myself at a café, I visited this shop that caught my eye on Tabelog (*^◯^*) It's Osaka Maeda Seika, a shop famous for its nostalgic milk bolo snacks that was established in 1918. I didn't know much about it, but my partner who loves milk bolo snacks knew it well♪ They have several dessert shops called "Osaka Amanou Maeda" mainly in Osaka. I parked my car in the parking lot right next to the factory entrance, which I almost missed, and entered the shop. It's a small space, but it seems popular as everyone knows this hidden gem. They have not only Maeda Seika's snacks but also other snacks. I mainly bought my favorite rice crackers. I also saw mitarashi dango next to the cash register, which looked delicious and affordable, so I bought a few♪ Mitarrashi dango was priced at 80 yen per piece. I left as my partner waited for the freshly made mitarashi dango. Other customers came in while I was there, so there was a limit on the number of people allowed in. Now I'm heading home. Each mitarashi dango was carefully grilled and generously covered in sauce. The dango was chewy with a nice grilled texture and just the right amount of sweetness. I found out that there is a factory direct sales store in Fujiidera that offers delicious mitarashi dango, so I decided to visit. When I passed through the small entrance, I was greeted by various snacks like senbei, and in the center, there were different whole cakes and great deals on bread. This time, I bought a craft box filled with Danish bread ends, a cheesecake, and the popular mitarashi dango. The mitarashi dango is made right next to the counter, and it is served hot. The mitarashi dango sauce is deliciously hot, and because it is freshly made, the mochi is soft. The cheesecake (180 yen) doesn't have a special feel to it, but it is pleasantly fluffy and great value for money. The craft box, even though it's just the ends, contains 6 pieces at a great price (250 yen). I will definitely go back again.

On July 28, 2022 (Thursday) afternoon, I visited the Osaka Maeda Seika direct sales store in Fujiidera City, Oyama. I bought a "slightly defective cheesecake" for ¥200 (5 pieces) and 3 pieces of "mitarashi dango" for ¥80 each, totaling ¥240. The mitarashi dango had a normal taste. The cheesecake was decent, but not particularly delicious, just average. There were many other sweets available, but I didn't have time to try them. In late September 2020, I visited my usual spot, Impact One Plus. I tried the Egg Egg Boro, which had a distinct egg flavor and seemed to be free of additives, just the way I like it. Although it was quite hard at first, it softened in my mouth and turned out to be quite delicious. I bought it and enjoyed it later. The Egg Egg Boro had a round shape, about the size of a fingertip, with a crispy and slightly fragrant surface. It was quite sweet, and would go well with tea. On this day, after finishing my errands at the small mountain in Fujiidera, I was asked by an acquaintance if I have a sweet tooth. I replied yes, and was taken to a place. It turned out to be Mr. Maeda, the sweet tooth, whom I vaguely remembered from having eaten zenzai at Namba City. As soon as I entered, I could smell the delicious scent of mitarashi dango, and I almost bought some, but since I had eaten it the day before, I decided to buy some chocolate that doesn't melt in the summer instead. I took it home and ate it. The chocolate was a bit hard, individually wrapped, making it easy to eat. Thank you for the meal. Next time, I'll buy some freshly made mitarashi dango! ^_^

I visited Maeda Seika, a famous confectionery known for their Marlboro, to buy their freshly made dango. Their mitarashi dango was soft and chewy, just like it was freshly made. The mitarashi sauce was deliciously sticky. The freshly made ones are definitely the best. I will come back again! (´∀｀)

They are open year-round, so I feel relieved for some reason. I go there to buy souvenirs for my relatives during Obon and New Year's. The cheesecake with minor defects is delicious. In the summer, they sell dishes like anmitsu and warabi mochi, but if you go around 11 o'clock, they are often sold out. I always line up for mitarashi dango. While waiting in line, I noticed that frozen mitarashi dango was on sale in the refrigerator! I bought it and it was delicious when heated up (it would have been even better if toasted in a toaster). They now charge for bags, so don't forget to bring your own. The only downside is the small parking lot (3 spaces, but they can squeeze in 5 cars).
