900 yen + 720 yen = 990 yen. That's it! (laughs) The taste and quality are the same, but the presentation is a bit... I'm drawn to these kinds of things for some reason, I just like it. First of all, it's generally cheap. Even at Tobu's depachika, places like "Uo Hisa" have cut-offs that attract long lines during sales. But not only at popular stores, if you carefully look around, you can find hidden gems. This time, it's "Meister Yamanoi" at Seibu Ikebukuro's depachika. In Seibu's depachika, there are various ham shops from "Takeda Ham" to "Kaiser Ham" on the B1 and B2 floors. While I'm not particularly knowledgeable, when I tried to buy ham for a specific purpose, I had a difficult time comparing the various options. Especially for personal use, cost performance is important. In that regard, I was drawn to the cut-off series at this store. In that corner, cut-offs ranging from 450 yen to 900 yen were lined up. On that day's special sale(?), "2 for 990 yen" (excluding tax). You'd pick the more expensive ones, right? (laughs) "Smoked Prosciutto Loaf Cut-off Pack" (777 yen) - As shown in the photo. The cut-offs of prosciutto are packed in this pack. The super thin slices of prosciutto weigh 172g, so when laid out, it would cover quite a large area. At first, I peeled off and ate each slice, but halfway through, I started eating them in chunks. The smoked flavor is strong, leaving a lingering smoky aroma. The saltiness is moderate, but the quality of the meat makes it not too noticeable, and there's not much dryness in the throat after eating. "Char Siu Loaf Cut-off Pack" (972 yen) - As shown in the photo. This is basically just char siu. Whether eaten together or separately, char siu is char siu. The fat has a subtle and subdued feel, more about elegance than strength. The original sauce is there, but I also tried the special sauce, which adds a bit more intensity. It has a refined taste. Thank you for the meal. (By Kyanatsu Shuusora, 2020.12.2) (2 reviews/3.04)
