In Osaka, there is a shop in the Hankyu department store in Umeda. I suddenly had a craving for fried chicken, so I decided to do a taste comparison of fried chicken from different shops. The second shop I chose was here. Apart from fried chicken, they also offer tempting fried potato and onion ring menus. The staff, who seemed experienced, were very efficient and friendly. As for the fried chicken, it was good but not exceptionally delicious, and considering the price, I don't think I would go out of my way to buy it again. If you want to try their other fried items like potato fries or onion rings, you might consider getting the fried chicken as well.

I tried the fried chicken shop that I had been eyeing for a while. I ordered a bone-in chicken breast fried. It was around 160 grams and a little over 500 yen, so it might be considered a bit expensive. Even though it was cold, the crispy texture of the coating was amazing! It had a texture similar to Karaage (Japanese fried chicken). Also, since it was made with chicken breast, the coating itself wasn't too oily. Now, I'm in Umeda (´ω｀(´ω｀) walking to Hankyu Department Store. This time, I tried the fried chicken from Asahi Beer Hall. I got both thigh and breast meat, with the breast meat being a bit cheaper, so I got 5 pieces. They were small in size, around 100g each, but the saltiness was just right and they were crispy and tasty. The ones in Munich might be better, but these go well with beer. However, they are a bit pricey at the department store, so you can't really buy them in bulk. I purchased some snacks for drinking here at the Hankyu Department Store basement in Umeda. I got oven-baked BBQ spare ribs and deep-fried Mino Hidaka chicken thighs. Let's dig in! The spare ribs have a nice balance of fat and the sauce goes well with them. The chicken thighs have a rich flavor that goes perfectly with beer. I found this place while wandering around inside Hankyu Department Store, thinking of adding it to my lunch. A few elegant elderly women were purchasing it, so I assumed it must be delicious. The store is located near the entrance, but it doesn't stand out much, so I hadn't noticed it before. I initially tried to buy the bone-in fried chicken at 281 yen per 100g, but the staff informed me that it was boneless thigh meat fried chicken at 300g. It was a bit more expensive at around 340 yen per 100g. As I was on my way home on the train, the smell of the fried chicken leaked out every time I moved the bag, causing a bit of inconvenience to the girl sitting next to me. The garlic smell wasn't too strong, but it was a bit awkward to smell it on the train. I blame myself for not thinking ahead.
