In the Depachika (department store basement) of Hankyu Umeda, there is a Chinese delicatessen. The mini Chinese bento includes fried rice, black vinegar pork, shrimp in chili sauce, fried chicken, sesame balls, spring rolls, vegetable and crab in thick sauce, shumai with dried scallops, and pickled mustard greens. It's a great bento with a lot of variety, perfect for snacking on different dishes.

The store is located in Hilton Plaza in Nishi-Umeda, and I have used it once for my grandmother's 88th birthday celebration. You can buy a bento box at this store for 1361 yen including tax. Being a store in Hankyu Department Store, the prices are on the higher side, making it a great option for when you want to treat yourself at home. This time, I purchased the popular three kinds of shrimp mayo side dish set. It includes shrimp mayo, sweet and sour pork, and shredded pork with green peppers, all of which are popular menu items. The shrimp mayo has a firm texture, and the sweet and sour pork has a juicy and flavorful taste. The quality is so high that you wouldn't believe it's just a side dish! I decided to go to Hankyu Umeda to buy some side dishes for the first time in a while. It was quite lively and shopping became enjoyable. I thought, "Chinese food is good once in a while," and immediately purchased fried rice. The shrimp fried rice I bought was really delicious, as expected from a famous restaurant. My darling was very happy (laughs). I would like to stop by here next time I come to Umeda.

I came to Umeda to buy ingredients for dinner! After buying various ingredients, I bought a bento for lunch here. It came with a hand towel, and when I took it out at home, I was surprised to see a sticker that said "Gratitude"! I bought a small bento because I can't eat a lot. It includes my favorite shrimp. It's nice to have a variety of small portions like crispy spring rolls and sweet and sour pork. From May 30th, Hankyu Department Store will also open with all stores closing at 19:00.

Located a short distance from Umeda Station on various train lines, I searched for a lunch spot at the basement floor of Hankyu Department Store Umeda Main Store. I chose the sweet and sour pork fried rice bento from a selection of bento boxes and side dishes. Now, let's dig in! The main sweet and sour pork is moist with a rich sauce that is delicious. The meat is also tender and tasty. Next, the fried rice, although it has cooled down, is still quite delicious. Perhaps the cooking took into consideration that it would be eaten as a bento? Overall, it was a satisfying office lunch! The location is upscale, so it's relatively pricey, but it turned out to be a decent office meal.

Picking from Pochinro, which mainly serves Cantonese cuisine, there are many familiar side dishes like bento, nikuman, and gyoza. Although we don't buy from there often, the taste from Hinotei restaurant is always well-received in our home. When it comes to Chinese bento boxes, I usually buy them from the basement floor of Hankyu Department Store. After this, I also bought ingredients for dinner on my way back home.

I've always been curious about this shop and finally decided to try it out! I purchased Black Vinegar Sweet and Sour Pork (100g), Shrimp Mayo (around 5 pieces in 100g), Broccoli and Seafood Stir-fry (200g), and Chinese Jellyfish (150g). I also bought chilled items like Seafood Meat Bun and Vegetable Bun, and stored them in the freezer in their original packaging. The menu also included dishes like Sweet and Sour Pork, Eight Treasure Vegetables, Kung Pao Chicken, Mapo Tofu, and more. Here are my thoughts on the items I tried: - Black Vinegar Sweet and Sour Pork: The pork pieces were tender and not too fatty, with a perfect balance of sweet and sour flavors. It was delicious and one of the best sweet and sour pork dishes I've had. - Shrimp Mayo: The shrimp had a firm texture and were coated in a light, flavorful mayo sauce with a hint of garlic. It was different from the usual shrimp mayo dishes and very tasty. - Broccoli and Seafood Stir-fry: This dish had squid, scallops, shrimp, broccoli, and carrots stir-fried in a savory sauce. The seafood was tender, well-seasoned, and not greasy. I enjoyed it so much that I had it again the next day. - Chinese Jellyfish: The jellyfish had a crunchy texture and was lightly seasoned. It tasted even better when paired with the dressing provided. I also had this dish the next day. I also tried the Vegetable Bun and Seafood Meat Bun, which I reheated in the microwave. The buns had a soft, fluffy texture and were generously filled with vegetables and seafood. They were delicious and satisfying. Overall, I was impressed with the quality and taste of the dishes from this shop. I would definitely purchase from them again and look forward to trying other items on their menu.

Is that the bento from Hifumi-rou? I love the shark fin soup at Hifumi-rou in Hilton Plaza. Oh, and the fried rice is also delicious. I never expected to find bentos being sold at Hankyu Department Store. Since it's from a favorite restaurant, I tend to have high expectations. I bought the Hifumi-rou Bento for 1,080 yen (tax included). The black vinegar sweet and sour pork was delicious. But the fried rice was a swing and a miss. It seems like, as a bento, the flavors need to be stronger to work, as a certain person mentioned. Well, the bento won't affect the restaurant's rating, so I'll still visit there occasionally.

It's a Chinese restaurant that I like, and I found it in the department store basement. I bought a dim sum set and a high-quality meat bun to take home. It would be nice if I could enjoy this taste just by steaming it at home. The meat bun was around 1500 yen, but it was worth it as a treat. It's a place worth visiting.

I tried the takeout from a famous Chinese restaurant in the food section of Hankyu Department Store in Umeda. I found a boldly colored mapo tofu, which got me excited. It turned out to be mapo tofu with Sichuan peppercorns, priced at 324 yen per 100g, which seemed reasonable for this brand. I got 200g of it. When I got home and heated it up, I was hit with a strong amount of chili oil and a tempting aroma. After taking a bite, I realized that this dish is best enjoyed with rice. The combination of mapo tofu and rice is perfect. I must say, mapo tofu is definitely best enjoyed with white rice. I was able to experience the allure of mapo tofu. Although I have tried mapo tofu from restaurants in Yokohama Chinatown, I still believe that Osaka has the best food!
