I forgot what I was doing before, but before I knew it, I ended up at McDonald's! I usually get takeout and use the McDonald's near the nearest station, but on this day, I was unusually hungry and couldn't wait until I got home to eat, so I decided to try this McDonald's that I had never been to before. Even though I have a lot of reviews to post, I always end up trying new places for some reason. I ordered the caramel-flavored triangular chocolate pie and a vanilla milkshake, which I haven't had in a while. The milkshake took longer to come out than I remembered, and I was a bit worried at first. The triangular chocolate pie was not very satisfying for the price, but I always end up buying it when I just want a little snack. I always end up regretting it a little after eating it, but I still end up buying it again. I realized that McDonald's is really convenient when you just want a little something to eat.

I went shopping with my mother and got tired, so we decided to take a break at McDonald's. My mother said she wanted to try a pie, so we ordered a McFlurry. It's a great choice, especially on a hot day!

Surprisingly, this McDonald's is a hidden gem where you can order relatively quickly and it's a nice experience. As long as you can secure a seat in the food court, there are no issues. Enjoyed a small fries and a small hot coffee leisurely.

Cream Brulee Pie

Sweet and salty! Good.

Located in the food court of Ito Yokado Abeno store. Previously there was a ramen shop and a flour-based food shop like okonomiyaki, which opened later. There are competing stores around, so it's relatively easy to order on weekday nights. Hot coffee is 100 yen. There is also a Seven-Eleven coffee nearby, which is the same price, so it depends on your preference for the blend. The cost-performance ratio is amazing.

After shopping at Abeno Q's Mall, it's lunchtime and the restaurants on the 4th floor usually have a wait of over 30 minutes. So, I end up going to the food court on the 3rd floor, but during this time of year, it's filled with students studying for exams and it's hard to find a seat. Sometimes I try going to the basement 1st floor, which surprisingly may have some open seats, but unfortunately, it's also crowded with students. It's questionable if studying in such places really helps them retain the information, but during February and March, you see a lot of students in these types of places. So, I just decided to line up at McDonald's for takeout. I chose the Chicken Tartar L size for 750 yen. I don't usually frequent McDonald's, but I do like the Chicken Tartar series. However, when I saw the actual item, it seemed smaller than what I saw in the commercials. I can finish it in about 4 bites, and for 680 yen for a set with a burger, it seems a bit expensive for fast food. When I was in high school, I used to go to McDonald's like crazy after club activities and even have dinner there. Looking back, I wonder how I had enough money to afford that. It seems that today's students are not much different, using their allowance to buy hamburgers. I used to buy the Chicken Tartar series every time it came out, but now I find myself thinking, "Maybe it would have been better at a different restaurant..." Perhaps I've just gotten tired of it. It's strange how I used to eat it so much in the past. That's it for my meal review~

Located on the basement floor of Ito Yokado Abeno store, which is directly connected to Abeno Station on the Osaka Metro Tanimachi Line, is a slightly smaller food court separate from the one on the 3rd floor of Q's Mall. Last December 14, a McDonald's opened here, replacing a Kurume Ramen shop. I decided to have lunch here before work. The food court, although smaller than the 3rd floor, now has more seating available, making it easier to find a place to sit. I ordered the Value Lunch set which includes a Big Mac and a hot coffee for 400 yen. It was my first time trying a Big Mac, and I was surprised by how thick it was. The burger had two patties, lettuce, minced onions, pickles, and cheese sandwiched between three layers of buns. The pickles added a nice touch of acidity to balance out the richness of the patties. The overall balance of flavors was good, although the shredded lettuce was a bit limp and tended to fall out. The sauce had a nice balance of saltiness and sweetness. The coffee was decent, but not exceptional. Overall, the Value Lunch set was a good deal for 400 yen. McDonald's may have faced challenges in the past, but as long as they have iconic items like the Big Mac, they will continue to stand out.

In February 2018, Tnukko and Chibitsunu are at the food court of Ito Yokado Abeno store where a McDonald's has opened. Chibitsunu mentions that it opened in December last year. They both got Happy Meals because Snoopy toys are being given out from February 16th. The Happy Meal comes with a Cheeseburger, which they both enjoy. They talk about how they are slow to get the toys and now the promotion has changed to Doraemon from March 16th. Chibitsunu loves Cheeseburgers and they discuss the 6 different toys available in the Happy Meal.

My son's private school entrance exam results will be announced online at 9 am. My son looks disappointed. Well, he always seems confident after tests, but he has never achieved the desired results, so it was expected. Although he didn't get into the course he aimed for, he did pass the one below it, so whether he will aim for public school or give up on public school and go to the private school and strive for the higher course (if he applies, he is likely to be accepted because he meets the passing line) depends on his own decision. Now, on a day off like today, my wife is at the fitness club, and my son is alone studying for the public school entrance exam at a cram school. I thought about having a drink at lunchtime, but I changed my mind when my wife came home, as I might get scolded if I smelled of alcohol. Instead, I suddenly felt like eating Chicken Tatsuta and Tartar that caught my eye when I went to Ito-Yokado the other day, so I went to buy them. It was a busy time, so the food court was full. I bought a set of Chicken Tatsuta for 680 yen and a single Tartar for 380 yen to take home. Of course, I also ordered French fries and Coca-Cola as side dishes. Even in such a small counter-only shop, there are more than 10 staff members. As expected of McDonald's. I thought about eating the Chicken Tatsuta, which I love, first, but I decided to try the Tartar, which I had never had before. The slightly acidic Tartar sauce overflowed, and I had to open my mouth wide to eat it. It was delicious in its own way. And then the long-awaited Chicken Tatsuta. It seems like they offer it only for a limited time, but how many years has it been since I last had it? It's still delicious. I remember eating this a lot after work during my first year of university. I think it was really popular back then. It's been over 20 years since then, and I think I've eaten quite a few delicious things, but the things I liked when I was young haven't changed even now that I'm an old man. If the limited time offer ends and the next one comes out, I'll probably want to eat it again. The total bill was 1060 yen. McDonald's seems to be more expensive than I expected.

Today's snack was at McDonald's in Abeno Ito Yokado store. I had a Happy Meal with a cheeseburger, McDonald's fries, and vegetable juice. As a bonus, I got an illustrated book and a puzzle. The book and puzzle look fun even for adults!

The food at Eguchi is delicious.

At the end of the year, I took a break while returning from shopping. I ordered a Mega Mac, Coca-Cola Zero, small fries, and with the use of a coupon, it came to 440 yen. I have a hard time speaking due to a cold, so it's difficult to place an order, but why ask me if I want a Strawberry Pie when I didn't order it? Please stop unnecessary responses. I enjoyed the meal.
