In Osaka and the Kansai area, there are many delicious Japanese and Western foods, but in recent years, I have been fond of Minamoare in Namba for small souvenirs for my colleagues or gifts for those with children! Inside the box are colorful chocolate sticks in dark, milk, and matcha flavors. It felt nostalgic and then I found out it's a sister store of Mon Loire in Okamoto, Kobe. I see, it's not just stylish, it must be delicious too! ♡

MST Select Osaka souvenir Dotombori Cheese Cookies‼️ As expected, I did some research and tried it with whiskey, and it's really good. My mother and daughter had it with tea. The new release in 202206, Minamore, is a chocolate shop, right? #Minamore #dotomboricheesecookies #Osakasouvenir

I found a shop on my way back from Yoshimoto that sells interesting chocolate resembling okonomiyaki and mini soft serve ice cream. The chocolate looks cute and is similar to Nissin Crisp Chocolate. It's crunchy and comes with a mini spatula. However, it's quite sweet. It has an Osaka vibe and would make a good souvenir. Both chocolates are very sweet.

I visited this shop in Namba, Osaka on a regular day. I bought octopus-shaped cookies that look like takoyaki! Just as the name suggests, they are super cute (*^^*). The cookies have a crispy texture and the strawberry crunch adds a nice touch, making them delicious \(^-^)/. Thank you for the meal♪

The other day, I received a souvenir from Osaka called "Minamoare" - "Dotonbori Bonbon Town". It seems to be a popular chocolate souvenir in Osaka lately. According to their website, it is a stick chocolate with an illustration of "bonbon" (which means a young master in Kansai dialect) in Dotonbori. It comes in three flavors: milk, dark, and matcha. You can tell the flavor by the color of the wrapper. I tried the one in the "Yoneda-san" wrapper, which turned out to be matcha flavor. The matcha chocolate contains hazelnut paste and is quite delicious. I also tried the other two flavors, and personally, I prefer matcha > milk > dark chocolate. But this may vary depending on personal preference. Both the appearance and taste make it a perfect souvenir. Thank you for the meal. The chocolate was so delicious. Delizioso!

On a day off, while shopping in Minami with my family, we stumbled upon a chocolate shop called "Minamoare." This shop seems to be a sister store of the chocolate shop "Mon Loire," which originated in Kobe and has outlets in department stores nationwide. The concept of this shop is to offer truly delicious chocolates at affordable prices, while also incorporating the playful spirit of Osaka.
About the shop:
Located near the entrance of the Ebisu Bridge shopping street, the shop has a cozy interior with a stylish yellow decor that exudes a sense of luxury.
About the Bonbons:
The most popular item in the shop is the "Dotonbori Bonbon Town," which is a chocolate stick. Traditionally, "bonbon" refers to bite-sized chocolates with nuts or caramel inside. However, in the shop, it is explained that in Kansai dialect, "bonbon" means a young man from a good family. The Dotonbori Bonbon Town features small chocolates wrapped in paper with the faces of 12 fictional Bonbons who seem like they belong in Osaka's Dotonbori area. Each character has a detailed description, adding a playful touch to the product.
Tasting the Dotonbori Bonbon Town:
The service bag contains all 12 characters' chocolates, each with a hazelnut chocolate center coated with matcha, milk, or dark chocolate. The matcha chocolate has a soft texture and a harmonious matcha and hazelnut flavor. The milk chocolate has a gentle flavor and complements the hazelnut well, while the dark chocolate has a stronger cocoa flavor and a faint hazelnut taste.
Overall, the chocolates vary in hardness, with matcha being the softest, followed by milk and dark chocolate. Personally, I preferred the matcha flavor. The service bag of 24 chocolates for 540 yen is a great deal at only 22.5 yen per piece. The chocolates are delicious and perfect for everyday enjoyment.

There is a take-out shop on the first floor of MIO in Tennoji. While their octopus ball chocolate is famous, this time I bought cookies. It contains three different fruit-flavored cookies, with a hint of fruit-flavored chocolate inside. It feels like a combination of langues de chat. Even people who don't like chocolate won't feel uncomfortable.

I was lured into the shop by the abundance of cute sweets! There were lots of cute and delicious chocolates lined up. They seem like great gifts! I ended up buying a lot. There were so many cute packages and the prices were very reasonable! There were also Osaka-style takoyaki sweets. They would be appreciated as gifts or souvenirs from Osaka! I would love to go on a shopping spree for souvenirs again! (laughs)

I saw the Osaka specialty takoyaki cookies at the Daimaru Umeda store before and was curious about them. Due to the impact of the new coronavirus, they were being sold at half price, so I decided to try them out. The cookies were even more delicious than I had imagined, with a crumbly texture. They were individually packaged, making them convenient for sharing as souvenirs. I will definitely consider buying them again for my next Osaka souvenir purchase.

I remember receiving a cute Choco Mari-chan from this shop "Dotonbori Bonbon Town" before entering. I also received one from Hamu-chan. On this day, almost all the items in the store were on sale, such as octopus-shaped cookies at 20% off and boxed fresh chocolates at 50% off. I bought the octopus-shaped cookies, which had a delicious milky texture. I was surprised to find cookies that looked like "takoyaki" and crunchy chocolates that looked like "okonomiyaki." They also had delicious items like "Dotonbori Fruit Parlor," "Crushed Almond Chocolate," and "Heart Flower." By simply becoming a member, you can receive one of each color of the "Heart Flower" as a gift. The yellow pouch contains lemon, matcha, and milk chocolates, while the red pouch contains strawberry, milk, and dark chocolates. Oh, this looks like that...! It seems to be a sister brand of Mon Loire... Thank you for the meal.

"I thought this would make a good Osaka souvenir." That's what I thought when I found a unique snack at this store just a short walk from Dotonbori. When it comes to Osaka souvenirs, you often see snacks with takoyaki or sauce flavors, but this store had something a little different to offer. The snack I found here reminded me of Osaka specialties like okonomiyaki and takoyaki, but with a twist – they were sweet treats made with chocolate (and I think they used real seaweed). They also had chocolates named "Bonbon," which means "young master" in Osaka dialect. Intrigued by the appearance and name, I decided to purchase the chocolate and the snack that looked like okonomiyaki and takoyaki as souvenirs. When I shared them with a friend recently, they found them very interesting. I tried them too and was surprised by the unexpectedly sophisticated flavors. If you're looking for a unique and tasty Osaka souvenir, why not try these snacks from this store?

Orange peel 55g for 432 yen. I thought it would be crispy like a stick, but it's actually chewy, reminding me of a snack I had in the past. It has a powder chocolate and orange scent with a jelly-like texture. It's perfect for sharing with friends and as a souvenir.

If it's chocolate, I'll stop by here for a bit~ Is this a Chupa Chups? No, no, it's chocolate. Matcha chocolate. It's a nice souvenir. It's not a strange takoyaki senbei, it's delicious. I tried the matcha flavor and it was delicious. It's not candy, so I quickly took a bite and finished it... Thank you for the meal~!!!

This time, I used it for tea time. I was unsure of what to choose, but this time I purchased a Heart Flower Service Bag. Purchase contents: Heart Flower Service Bag 1,080 yen. The Heart Flower Service Bag is a set of yellow and red pouches. The yellow pouch contains lemon, milk, and matcha heart-shaped chocolates. The red pouch contains strawberry, milk, and dark heart-shaped chocolates. The sweetness was just right and the taste was delicious. The shop has a beautiful display inside. The staff's customer service was also very polite. It is a chocolate shop located near Namba Station.

On the final day of our trip, we wandered around Namba area in the scorching heat. We stumbled upon an interesting sign for an ice cream bar shaped like a kushikatsu (deep-fried skewers). It cost 216 yen, so we decided to try it out. It was a vanilla ice cream topped with nuts and chocolate sauce. It was decent, nothing special, but tasted even better in this hot weather. The size was small but it was a nice treat.
