The magic towards A.R.E suddenly decreased by 3 for some reason, and next week... Still feeling the excitement from Koshien, we headed to the Umeda area, where we started with a toast at a kushiage restaurant, then moved on to takoyaki. Finally, we ended up at a ramen shop in the hotel. The shop had a calm and clean atmosphere, like a small traditional Japanese restaurant. We chose a simple salt-based ramen and three quail eggs as toppings. The service was good, with warm towels provided upon seating. The golden-colored soup with quail eggs and submerged noodles was unique for a salt-based ramen. Despite the oily film on the surface, the taste was elegant and not overpowering. The firm noodles had a satisfying texture, and the bamboo shoot topping was tender and delicious. The quail eggs were a special touch, adding a soft texture to the dish. It was a ramen that was too good to eat after getting drunk.

I had soy sauce ramen and pork cutlet set. The pork cutlet was very tender. The noodles in the ramen were medium thickness and had a nice chewy texture. The soup was light but salty. The sliced pork had a good chewy texture as well.

Located a 4-minute walk from Exit 4 of Higashi Umeda Station, and a 6-minute walk from Exit 15 of Umeda Station (subway), this ramen shop in the deep corners of Umeda is situated on the first floor of the Maruichi Hotel building. It is the second branch of the famous and popular "Menya Kotori" shop, known for its refined exterior. The shop offers both salt and soy-based soup, with a specialty in toppings like quail eggs. This time, I ordered the simple Kotori soba soy sauce (850 yen). The soup is elegant and visually appealing, made with 100% chicken broth from Asumi chicken, and a special blend of three types of soy sauce. It includes yuzu peel, homemade menma, and chicken flakes, resulting in a gentle and flavorful taste. Despite being light, the soup has a strong umami flavor with a hint of seafood. It is perfect for finishing a meal. The noodles are medium-thick straight noodles, which are chewy and firm, although personally, I found them to be somewhat average. However, the deliciousness of the soup is undeniable, so be sure to give it a try! Thank you for the meal. Check out my website for more Osaka restaurant recommendations: https://higachannpoko.com. I went to a hotel using a plan that included a free night with dinner at Kama-Tama and received a free voucher from the hotel. I added the option of seared meat and egg rice bowl. It was simply delicious. The meat and egg rice bowl had a rich flavor that was very tasty.

I came to eat ramen at Shime and bought a small soy sauce soba for 850 yen at the ticket machine. The small shop only has 9 counter seats and is run by one person. It arrived in about 5 minutes. The appearance is a traditional soy sauce flavor. The soup has a strong seafood taste and is quite rich. The noodles are thick straight noodles. The toppings include chashu, thick menma, naruto, bonito flakes, and shredded red chili pepper. The noodles were not thin, so it was a satisfying ramen.

I happened to be looking for a nearby delicious rice restaurant and found a ramen shop. This time, I tried the limited edition Usagino soba (salt) at the Higashi Umeda branch. It was a light salt ramen with a chicken broth base and dried bonito soup, and it was really delicious. They also have rice dishes, and I'm curious about other ramen dishes they offer. I think it would be delicious to put white rice in this salt soup and make ramen rice. I found a new and delicious place (*´ー`*) 2023.05.22 #NoMSG #MenyaKotoriHigashiUmeda #Kotori #RamenKotori #WantToConnectWithRamenLovers #KansaiGourmet #KansaiRamen #OsakaRamen #OsakaGourmet #UmedaRamen #UmedaGourmet #HigashiUmedaRamen #Usaginocho #OsakaSaltRamen

I used the Karamen Plan at the neighboring Maruichi Hotel for my stay! The maze soba for a late-night snack was more than enough! It seems you can also add toppings! I also had soy sauce ramen on a different day, and it had an elegant taste! Thank you for the meal!

Visited at night. It is located in a street with a very atmospheric feel, tucked away in the back. The restaurant exudes a sense of luxury. Quail was served as a complimentary dish. - Salt Ramen 850: A light soup with plenty of quail, which was very delightful. It is easy to eat because it is refreshing. - Seared Meat Rice Bowl 350: I chose this because the Roast Pork Bowl was too expensive, but I regret it. The searing level was not up to par, the taste was too strong, and it was a bit difficult to eat. Thank you for the meal.

I had been wanting to visit this restaurant for a while now, and the main branch is located in Higashi Osaka, I believe. This one is a sister store. I purchased my ticket at the entrance and sat at the counter. It was ready in about 5 minutes. The soup was delicious and warmed me up. The noodles and chashu were also very tasty.

I happened to pass by and saw a sign saying "1st Anniversary Congratulations Quail Festival - 12 Free Services!" I was drawn in. The shop is located in a building behind 123 Osaka in Usaginocho. The exterior of the building is not very impressive, but the interior of the shop is a clean space with only a counter. Right at the entrance, there is a ticket machine where I bought my meal ticket. I ordered the "Namako Ginger Soba" with 5 quail eggs and spare ribs as toppings. The impact of 5 quail eggs and spare ribs was amazing. The flat, medium-thick noodles were chewy and had a great texture, with the accent of namako and ginger being excellent. The soup was flavorful and delicious. I also had the "Lu Rou Fan" with the aroma of star anise, and the sweet and savory taste of the tender pork was irresistible. There were quail eggs and egg on top as well. It was very satisfying to eat. Oh, it was so delicious. I will definitely come back next time to try the "Ko Tori Soba" as well. Thank you for the meal.

I ordered mixed soba. Apparently, now you can get up to 12 quail eggs as a service. It looks quite luxurious and delicious at first glance, but when I tried it, it was surprisingly just a normal mixed soba. The noodles are half-thick and chewy. Maybe it lacks depth in flavor.

Today's lunch was the Small Bird and Scallop Chicken Soba (¥850) for the second time this March (lol). I wanted to try the Quail Eggs this time (^^). I chose the scallops this time! The clear golden soup, beautifully topped with 12 quail eggs, and the contrast with the shredded red pepper is beautiful. The noodles are smooth on the surface, chewy when bitten, similar to thicker udon noodles. The texture is excellent and you can slurp it up easily (lol). The scallop broth soaked in the soup with plenty of chicken umami on top creates an elegant taste. It's a drinkable bowl of soup (lol). The thin slices of char siu are slightly sweet and have a gentle taste that pairs well with the soup. Although it's counter seating only, the calm atmosphere of the restaurant perfectly matches this delicious bowl of noodles. Thank you for the meal! p(^-^)q

Today's lunch was at Menya Kotori Higashi Umeda, where I had the Usagi no Soba (¥880) which is a limited edition dish for their one-year anniversary. In March, they are offering a special with 12 quail eggs, so I went all out and ordered the maximum amount. The sight of the quail eggs floating in the soup was impressive. The soup was a salty base with a strong flavor of dried bonito, light and refreshing. The noodles had a gentle chewiness and a hint of sweetness from the wheat. The sliced onions added a slight bitterness, and the aroma of yuzu was pleasant. I quickly finished the 12 quail eggs and thoroughly enjoyed the meal.

Today's second stop is "Menya Kotori Higashi Umeda" in Higashi Umeda. I was looking forward to trying their clam broth ramen. When I asked the manager which ramen has the strongest clam flavor, he recommended the "Scallop Salt Ramen," so I ordered that from the ticket machine. The broth had a subtle clam flavor with a stronger chicken taste. The noodles were slightly chewy medium-thick straight noodles. The toppings included chashu, menma, white negi, bonito flakes, yuzu, and shredded red pepper. The chashu had a good texture, and the menma had a unique flavor. Thank you for the meal.

I visited "Menya Kotori Higashi Umeda" in Kita-ku, Osaka for lunch for the first time. The nearest station is Osaka Metro Tanimachi Line "Higashi Umeda" Station, about a 5-minute walk away. It is a branch of a restaurant located near Toyonaka City Shonai Station. I arrived with a colleague around 12:10 pm on a weekday. The restaurant has a counter with 9 seats, and there were no other customers when we arrived, but 2 came in later. The location is not the best, as it is in a building in a red-light district. The interior of the restaurant has a small eatery feel with just a counter. I purchased a meal ticket totaling 950 yen, which included "Togano Soba (salt)" for 850 yen and 3 quail eggs for 100 yen. The food arrived in about 6 minutes. The salt soup was light and refreshing, with a mild but delicious taste. The noodles were medium straight noodles, and the toppings included naruto, menma, white negi, shredded chili pepper, and chashu, with an additional 3 quail eggs. The restaurant may seem intimidating to approach at night due to its location, but it was clean and had a pleasant atmosphere with friendly service, allowing us to enjoy a delicious bowl of ramen.

Yes, it's ramen time! "Mendokotori Higashi Umeda" - I ordered the "Togano soba (salt)" and 6 quail eggs. This day was for drinking in Umeda. We wanted to finish with ramen, so we headed to Toganocho. We arrived at "Mendokotori" - I had visited their shop in Shonai before, but this time I finally visited their second shop in Higashi Umeda. I ordered the salt-based "Togano soba" and also got their signature topping of 6 quail eggs. After a short wait, the ramen arrived - it had a beautiful presentation. First, I tried the soup - it had a strong seafood flavor. The noodles were medium-thick and had a nice chew to them. The pork chashu was meaty and delicious. I finished it all quickly. Thank you for the meal! The manager was very friendly and cheerful. I also received a loyalty stamp.

Maruichi Hotel 1F in Umeda Toganocho, "Menya Kotori". Yes, because this is the red-light district, it's hard to walk around here... I think this hotel is pretty normal, maybe. A new ramen shop that I've been curious about for a while. Arrived at 11:45 am, it's counter seating only. The place is very clean since it's a new shop! There are luggage shelves under the chairs and hangers on the walls. Cold towels and a barley tea pot on the table are much appreciated. At the ticket machine, I pressed the button for the Braised Pork Rice for 600 yen, then when I sat down, I got 300 yen back in cash. ★ Kotori Shoyu Ramen Tax Included 850 yen ★ Braised Pork Rice 600 yen → 50% off, 300 yen discount I aimed for the Braised Pork Rice because it's half price in August. Hot ramen in this hot weather, haha. They also had chilled ramen but I chose the hot one. The ramen was served in about 5 minutes. The beautiful amber-colored soup has a nice bonito aroma! It's refreshing but still flavorful (゚Д゚) Delicious! The straight thin noodles are easy to eat. There's a large piece of chashu. I finished the ramen and the soup. About 3 minutes after the ramen, the Braised Pork Rice arrived. Oh, it's big... It's a regular sized bowl. So much egg! I didn't add the flavored egg to the ramen for this reason, but I didn't expect to get 3 quail eggs! The unique aroma of the spices, it's five-spice powder. Suddenly it feels like Taiwanese cuisine. The pork is tender, including the cartilage, and it's delicious. The egg is so creamy inside. But there was too much rice, so I ended up leaving half of it. I wish I had asked them to reduce the rice beforehand. Apologized for leaving food and left. At 12:15 pm, there were 4 other groups. The service was polite and excellent throughout. They are planning to stay open without any days off in August. It seems like the Braised Pork Rice will be half price until the end of August.

I heard that a popular ramen shop from Shonai has opened in Toganomachi, so I hurried over from the Nakazaki Nishi area. The interior of the shop has a natural wood and traditional Japanese atmosphere with only counter seats. During June, the braised pork rice bowl is half price at 300 yen, so I ordered the "Small Chicken Soy Sauce Ramen + Braised Pork Rice Bowl"! First, the small chicken soy sauce ramen was served. It had a beautiful amber color with simple toppings such as pork shoulder chashu, chicken broth, shredded red pepper, and bamboo shoot menma topped with yuzu peel. The soup base is made from only aged chicken bones and has a blend of soy sauce, giving it a light and flavorful taste with a hint of richness and accentuated by the yuzu peel. The aroma and umami of the chicken broth slowly spread in the second half, and the crunchy texture of the bamboo shoot menma is excellent. The noodles are medium-thick, flat noodles from Mineya Foods, chewy and firm, making them delicious! The braised pork rice bowl includes green onions, quail eggs, eggs, shredded red pepper, and pork ribs. The pork ribs, simmered until tender with the cartilage, mix well with the creamy eggs and green onions, making the rice disappear quickly! If the braised pork rice bowl is 600 yen, the amount of rice may be a bit small! Next, I want to try the Toganosoba (salt ramen) ===========

The restaurant is located on the first floor of a building, in a slightly hard-to-find spot. The exterior is stylish, the interior is clean, and overall it gives off a good impression. When I visited on a weekend afternoon, there were no customers and it was empty. After a while, a few people came in. They seemed like regular customers. I ordered the Usagi Soba (salt) with 3 quail eggs as a topping. The soup was clear and easy to drink, and the ramen looked clean and appetizing. The chashu was only one piece, but it was quite large. The naruto, menma, bonito flakes, and quail eggs each had their own flavor and matched well with the salt soup. I would like to try the shoyu ramen next time! It was delicious, thank you for the meal!
