Specializing in dashimaki tamago, a takeout-only shop located in the Hankyu Department Store in the heart of the city. The service was friendly and welcoming. I purchased the bamboo shoot rice for 680 yen. It came with bamboo shoot rice, dashimaki tamago, hijiki seaweed, pickles, and okra. The dashimaki tamago was very large, and while the bamboo shoot rice was a bit mushy in parts, it was still good. The bento boxes on this floor tend to be on the pricier side, so I think this was a good value.

This time, I tried the "Dashimaki Tamago Sandwich" from "Sohju," which previously impressed me with their elegant eel roll bento. Priced at 579 yen, the dashimaki tamago was light and delicious, reflecting the expertise of a restaurant specializing in egg dishes. While it may not be freshly made on-site, the fluffy texture and smooth taste of the dashimaki tamago were delightful. The mustard was used in a gentle manner compared to "Tennoya," which I reviewed before. This may make it appealing to a wider age range, even though it lacks a strong impact. (^_-)-☆ Overall, the "Sohju" egg sandwich had a relatively high salt content, but it didn't feel overly salty while eating it. Perhaps the rich dashi broth played a role in this. The bento box is almost double the price of the usual Sunday special, but the taste is unbeatable. The dashimaki tamago and chicken soboro are worth it.

I bought a bento box with three types of rolled omelette (with green onions, rolled, with dashi) and enjoyed it at the Expo Commemoration Park. The eggs, side dishes, and rice were all delicious! It was a great memory from the trip.
