They may not use the word "hidden gem" often, but it is definitely a bar that could be certified as one without any objections. When you open the small wooden door, you will find a steep staircase. If you misstep on the stairs, a trip to the hospital is guaranteed, so be careful. At the top of the stairs, there is a long wooden counter in the back, creating a warm Japanese atmosphere with slightly dim lighting that is tastefully done with indirect lighting, exuding an overall elegant ambiance. The place is not overly high-end, but has a moderate sense of elegance and is comfortable. You can enjoy a drink lightly and leave, and the prices are reasonable with no cover charge, so there are various occasions where you can use it. Bar Inspired. Located in a hidden alley on the east side of Ohatsu Tenjin, diagonally above the famous tonkatsu restaurant Takuwai. Opening the door of the old row house reveals a steep staircase leading to the second floor where the bar is located. The interior features a long, impressive bar counter with a modern Japanese atmosphere, accented with stylish details throughout. While the space exudes a refined atmosphere, it is not overly formal, with a soft air of sophistication. Although the owner has changed, I heard that the original mastermind behind the interior design was someone who specialized in stage art for theater productions. The attention to detail in the design sets it apart from bars created by commercial interior designers. In my opinion, this is the best bar with a unique ambiance. Tucked away in a quiet alley in Ohatsu Tenjin, away from the hustle and bustle of Osaka Umeda, this bar truly feels like a hidden gem. The drinks here are exceptional. This is a shop I sometimes stop by after eating and drinking near Omiya Tenjin. Just like "Mon," you go up the stairs to the second floor... There's only about 10 seats at the counter. The entrance is not very welcoming, making it hard to tell what kind of place it is. This is a shot bar with no cover charge. There are large tables with chairs lined up neatly. The price for one drink is a bit high, but it seems like mostly regulars come here. If you lock eyes with the Suntory Yamazaki 12-year-old on the rocks bottle, you won't be able to resist ordering it. It's a well-made whiskey (laughs). After reminiscing until the end of the fiscal year, I headed home with the same drink. This concludes the drinking spree for the past few days. On the third day, I had kushikatsu in Shinsekai and went to karaoke in Umeda's Sonezaki. It wasn't an all-nighter, just until the last train. This bar is quite relaxing. There is no cover charge, and most drinks are priced at 1000 yen each. You can stay as long as you like with just one gin and tonic. It seems like women could come alone, but considering the location, it might be a bit difficult. I ordered a Mojito, but was told it was difficult to make without good fresh mint, so I asked them to make it with mint liqueur. The taste was delicious, but Mojitos made with fresh mint are a completely different experience, so I was a bit disappointed. However, I could sense their commitment to not making something subpar. My partner didn't quite feel comfortable in the bar atmosphere, so I ended up ordering for both of us. She said it was delicious, but it seems like I might end up coming here alone in the future. In summary, it seems like they don't charge a cover charge based on the prices, and it is a discreet bar where occasional regular male customers come in, have a light drink, and then leave.
