I visited the restaurant on my way home from work today! I didn't know about this place even though it's within biking distance from my home, so I guess I didn't check properly ( ´艸｀) I arrived at 17:50 and there was one parking spot available, so I parked my car in front of the shop... Is it Izakaya time from 18:00 onwards??? Oh no, I can't have udon then ヽ(ﾟ◇ﾟ )ﾉ Anyway, I decided to go inside the shop to confirm, and the owner kindly explained to me that they were just about to start boiling the water for the udon, which would take about 40 minutes. I didn't mind waiting as I had nothing to do at home. I relaxed inside the shop, took some pictures of the menu posted on the walls, and had a nice chat with the owner about the Shikoku Pilgrimage and famous udon shops in the area (´0ﾉ｀*) Since it was my first visit, I ordered Handmade Udon, Chikuwa Tempura, and Tamago Tempura. They arrived in about 10 minutes, and I tried a bite - the grated radish topping was pleasantly spicy. The udon was not perfect yet, but the owner seemed very enthusiastic about improving and even recommended other famous udon places nearby for me to try. Before leaving, he invited me to come back another time to try their even more delicious udon. I was impressed by his passion and energy, so I wanted to express my gratitude by writing this review. As a token of appreciation, I was even given "Yomogi Daifuku" as a souvenir when leaving. Thank you for the wonderful experience! (^O^)/

I finally managed to visit a restaurant that I had been curious about for a while. Since I wasn't feeling too well, the doctor recommended I eat something easy to digest, so I thought, why not udon? The location is right next to Morokuchi Driving School, and they offer a cheap lunch menu during lunchtime. For only 500 yen, you can choose from rice, pickles, and several types of udon in a set. They also have oden sets available. I decided to order the karaage set instead of the udon set, just to mix things up a bit. The udon is made by hand and cooked to order, using dough that has been refrigerated for two days. The udon had a good texture, with just the right amount of chewiness. The broth had a strong kombu flavor, but personally, I would have preferred more bonito flavor. The karaage was tender, well-seasoned, and delicious. This restaurant is located in Kansai, so the review may be slightly biased towards a spicier taste, but if this restaurant were in Kanto, it would likely have long lines due to its quality.
