The toro was delicious, the maguro was also tasty, and the seared toro, maguro, negi, tai no saketoba, ika, negi, and torotaku were all amazing. Two beers for around 5000 yen? The satisfaction level was off the charts! It was my first time trying negi, and when I put it in my mouth, the scent of nori spread gently, followed by the strong aroma of negi. I couldn't believe something could be this delicious! I love the refined taste of Edo-style sushi, but the friendly atmosphere and lively counter in Osaka were just perfect!

I dropped by for a casual drink. The interior of the restaurant has a counter that divides towards both walls, and it seems to have a second floor, so it probably has a decent capacity. I entered around 5 pm, but it quickly became full. I think it's a popular place. What I had this time was: - Sashimi platter: tuna, squid, yellowtail - Nigiri sushi: scallop, green onion, horse mackerel, flounder, mackerel, eel, tuna - I ordered cold sake. The sashimi was simply delicious. The standout nigiri sushi were the eel and mackerel. The eel was outstanding, and the mackerel had the perfect balance of seasoning and fat, so I ended up ordering more. I was satisfied with everything. I thought it was more delicious than the price indicated. The cost performance is also good. I wish there was a place like this nearby. I would like to come back again if I have the chance.

The sushi restaurant does not have a conveyor belt, but the prices are almost the same as a conveyor belt sushi restaurant. My friend and I casually walked in. I couldn't see the second floor, but on the first floor, there were 3-4 chefs inside a triangular counter, each responsible for a zone. We started with thinly sliced white fish. The sharp-eyed chef asked if we wanted sea bream or flounder. We chose flounder. The neatly arranged thinly sliced fish was wrapped in green onions and served with grated daikon ponzu sauce. The fish was tender and delicious. We also had grilled squid legs, which were quite large and a bit tough. After each order, the chef placed a colored plastic plate on a thin stick above each counter. This was their billing system. We switched from beer to hot sake and moved on to nigiri sushi. Each piece ranged from ¥310 to ¥690. We had sea urchin battleship sushi, whelk, striped jack, conger eel, horse mackerel, shrimp, and herring roe on kelp. The sea urchin was sweet and not bitter, and the conger eel was lightly seared before being served, making it warm and delicious. The shrimp was large and of good quality. The rice portion was slightly generous, but the size of the toppings balanced it out. We finished with sea urchin again, dried gourd roll, and red miso soup. We paid around ¥9200 for two people, including bottled beer and two servings of hot sake. Most people finish their meal quickly and leave, spending around ¥3000-4000 per person. It was really affordable and delicious. Thank you for the meal!

Tonight, I went to a gathering with a friend from my time in Osaka and we visited a restaurant we used to frequent, called "Kamesushi". I had my favorite dish, "Toro Taku", with thick slices of delicious fatty tuna. I wonder if there is any other place with tuna slices thicker than here. I left Osaka feeling completely satisfied. Thank you for the delicious meal!

We visited this popular restaurant near Tenjinbashisuji in Higashi Umeda for our second stop of the weekend. As expected, there was a line just like at the main branch and other competitors. The customers were a mix of locals, tourists, and visitors from overseas, like the German guests sitting next to us. The sushi here is served in pairs and the rolls are thin. The cost performance is very good. We had Tachiyama sake, which was dry and easy to drink. We started with sashimi and grilled squid. For nigiri, we had sea bream, shrimp, abalone, sea urchin, and tekka maki. It's straightforward and well-made sushi. I think it's better to end the night like this compared to our first stop. We will definitely visit again. Thank you for the meal.

After finishing work, the drinking enthusiast went to Umeda for a drink. They started at the classic "Kame Sushi" for a round of drinks with former colleagues. First, they toasted with a draft beer. The three kinds of sashimi platter included tuna, squid, and amberjack. The octopus and cucumber vinegar dish was a simple and perfect accompaniment to alcohol. They switched to lemon chu-hi for the next drink to avoid getting too full on beer. They enjoyed some tuna cheek meat and paired it with cold sake. The sushi selection included eel, salmon roe, seared salmon, and eel, which they enjoyed as snacks while savoring plenty of cold sake. Honestly, it felt more like they drank a lot rather than ate sushi (laughs).

Sunday. Ah, I feel like eating sushi. I decided to go to Shu-to in Higashi Umeda. Kame Sushi main store. There is also the head office diagonally across the street. A long-established sushi restaurant on Gote Jizo Street. The tuna here is really good~♪ Other toppings are also delicious, but I think the tuna stands out. The Tekka Maki roll also has a large amount of toppings. With reasonable pricing, it's always crowded. It's convenient to be able to easily get in. It would be great if there were more sushi restaurants like this everywhere.

The restaurant has an all-counter seating arrangement, and the staff are super friendly. The place is small but has a charming atmosphere that I really like. Each dish is quite large, so you feel full after eating a little. The seared fatty tuna was the most delicious! The fatty tuna roll is a bit pricey but definitely worth trying, it was incredibly tasty! It was interesting to see the bill being calculated right in front of you when you place an order.

Is this the place? There is a similar restaurant called Nawa Sushi next door, so be careful not to confuse the two. Although the opening time was supposed to be 12:00, when I passed by at 11:45, the curtain was already up so I went in. They seem to open as soon as they are ready, which is something other restaurants should learn from. The sushi was fresh and reasonably priced, and there were even foreign customers dining there.

Today is a special day, so my husband and I came to Umeda for a meal after a long time. Surprisingly, it was just the two of us. It's been 7 years, but it's still as popular as ever. By noon, there was already a line forming inside the restaurant. Compared to before, there were more foreigners this time.
There are no set menus, so I will list the dishes in order of deliciousness. All prices are for 2 pieces.
★ Fatty Tuna (toro) - 680 yen
It just melts in your mouth. The fish slices are thick and delicious as always.
★ Seared Tuna Roll (tekka maki) - 400 yen
Also very delicious. It's mostly tuna with little rice.
★ Red Miso Soup - 380 yen
This is a must-have. The red miso soup with seasonal vegetables is something I haven't had anywhere else. The eel, yellowtail, and salmon were also delicious.
The chefs were all very kind, asking the foreign customers if they were okay with wasabi or if they wanted their sushi seared. It's definitely a popular spot. There are menu options with photos for foreigners, and the prices are reasonable. It's a great place to dine.

On the last day of Golden Week, I worked until the evening, and then went to the wine festival at Hankyu Department Store. After looking around, I decided to have sushi for dinner. It had been a while since I last had sushi, so I went to Kame Sushi at Oe-Tenjin. It was raining quite heavily, so the restaurant was surprisingly empty. Before the sushi, I had a little appetizer - vinegar-marinated shako for 960 yen. It was a bit pricey for the small shako. I wondered if they were carrying eggs at this time of year. A bit disappointing. I also had grilled scallops for 1200 yen. Wait, these aren't scallops, are they? Are these pen shells? They're quite big. Is this really 1200 yen? Moving on, I had some nigiri sushi. Nigiri sushi ranged from 400 yen to 500 yen for two pieces. I had some whelk, sea bream, swordtip squid, tuna, salmon roe, and cockle. It was alright. I quickly finished eating and headed to the next restaurant.

Osaka Gourmet 7: I visited Kamesushi, recommended by everyone. Although the main store is nearby, I went to the branch that seemed less crowded. Inside, there was a lively atmosphere with tables close together, but still allowing for comfortable conversation between customers. Sushi prices range from 300 yen for 2 pieces. They offer a variety of drinks such as beer, chuhai, local sake, shochu, highball, plum wine, etc. I started with the hamachi and iwashi. When I saw the pickled ginger, it really felt like I was in Osaka. I also tried kohada and geso, then went for seconds of hamachi because it was so delicious. I also had toro and maguro for comparison. For the finale, I ordered torotaku which was rolled in a way that allowed the toro flavor to shine through. The second floor seemed to be open as well, with customers coming and going. It was very popular, and it seemed like a common choice for a second stop.

I wanted to go there (^^)/ The exterior has a nice atmosphere. You can feel the history... (´Д`) The lantern or sign that looks like Master Roshi's mark from Dragon Ball is the landmark (´- `*) When you pass through the green curtain... (O.O;)(oo;) It's really bustling! It's so popular! This kind of sushi restaurant... I like it ( ̄▽ ̄;)! I don't care about my surroundings and just eat what I like♪ And when I made the rice super thin, it was really good (^o^)/ It's not about what's delicious, it's about this atmosphere♪♪♪ Even loud conversations around me are drowned out by the liveliness, and I naturally start smiling (´- `*) Sushi is delicious, isn't it (^^)/ I just can't help but think that in this atmosphere♪ It's a popular spot with good value where you can eat without pretension, serving popular sushi from the Showa era. Of course, it's popular (´- `*) I'll definitely visit again! Thank you for the meal (^o^)/

Osaka, Higashi-Umeda, Kame Sushi Main Store is non-smoking!!! They specialize in sushi. It's a sushi counter in Osaka. I felt the old-fashioned Showa era atmosphere of downtown. You can pop in and have a quick bite. The rotation is fast. The rice has a Osaka-style taste. The vinegar flavor is strong. The rice is cold. Let's eat! ■Tai (red snapper) 480 yen ■Hirame (flounder) 480 yen ■Toro (fatty tuna) 680 yen ■Battera (pressed mackerel sushi) 550 yen It's wrapped in seaweed! The Battera also has a strong vinegar taste. Yes. Thank you for the meal. Thank you very much.

If you're unsure what to eat in Umeda, consider stopping by this place early in the evening. The main store was already full, but they guided us to the opposite branch where we managed to secure two seats. Recently, there have been many tourists from Korea and Taiwan. The chef, who seems to be from Japan, speaks in broken Japanese with interesting intonation. It's cold, so we ordered hot sake - one cup and two cups are available, but be careful not to drink too much. For appetizers, they have vinegar miso octopus for 680 yen and maguro sashimi for 1170 yen. Of course, they are delicious, but at the main store, seaweed is served and it feels like it's closer to the medium fatty tuna. For sushi, they have shrimp for 480 yen, large prawn for 390 yen, shirako for 480 yen, eel for 550 yen, and mackerel for 390 yen. The recommended mackerel is in season and has delicious fat. The anago, shrimp, and tekka maki are a safe choice for the finale. Thank you for the feast!

My husband took me to this restaurant that our family used to visit often in the past. I am from Tokyo, so I am not very familiar with Osaka, but I have heard that there are several famous sushi restaurants that are popular among the masses. We have been to Harukoma before and it was delicious. Now, about Kamesushi, we heard that they open at 12 o'clock so we arrived at 11:40, but there was already a line. Some people were looking at the line for Kamesushi and decided to go to the neighboring restaurant, Nawa Sushi. There was a line outside and still more waiting inside the restaurant. As soon as we entered, there was a staircase and we lined up along the stairs. It took about 30 minutes from lining up outside to finally being seated. We ordered hohada, iwashi, maguro, toro, hotate, ika, tekka maki, tamago, and red miso soup. Here are some of the menu items that I liked: - Hohada: They wrap it with large shiso leaves, which is incredibly delicious. - Maguro: This was the highlight for me this time. It was so delicious. It's lean but tender, without any sinew. It melts in your mouth... - Tekka Maki: A tekka maki made with plenty of the maguro mentioned above. Of course, it was delicious! However, it was quite filling. I also had a beer with all this, but I was surprised that it cost less than 3000 yen per person. Also, the chefs were very friendly. There were quite a few foreigners at Kamesushi (the person next to me was Korean), and the chefs were very kind, using gestures and broken foreign languages to communicate. I got the impression that Osaka is more advanced in hospitality towards foreigners than Tokyo. I would love to visit again when I come back to Osaka. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

The destructive power of the fatty tuna is amazing! The volume of the fatty tuna is even more than the rice!!! It was delicious.

Around 6:00 PM during Golden Week, there were only two people in line in front of the restaurant. There was a sign resembling Master Roshi's mark from Dragon Ball, and while taking a photo of it, we were guided inside. The entrance was on both the front and back, and the door we were led to depended on the available seats. The counter was arranged around the chef, and the seating was tight, not ideal for those looking to relax. Despite each customer being attended to by the chef in front of them, there were no mistakes or forgotten orders even when multiple customers ordered at the same time, which was surprising. The beer was well chilled. The uni and ikura sushi were small but had no fishy taste. The negitoro roll was a bit messy but tasted amazing. The geoduck clam was thick and tender. The tamago sushi had a unique presentation with shari sandwiched in the cut part. The anago was served warm and delicious. The seared fatty tuna with ponzu sauce was incredibly smooth. The amaebi had a thick and rich flavor. The shiso plum roll was not too heavy and served as a good ending. Overall, the taste exceeded the price, and this restaurant would surely be a regular spot if it were closer to home. Definitely worth lining up for.

The seats are narrow and uncomfortable. The overall space of the restaurant is small, and it can be a tight squeeze passing by staff when coming back from the restroom. This is probably how the restaurant keeps their prices low. Looking at the menu, you might find it a bit pricey at first glance. However, the prices are actually for two pieces, so if you come with a friend and order a variety of items, you can enjoy many different options at a reasonable price. The sushi rice and toppings are not top-notch, but they are definitely not bad. When you ask for the bill at the end, you might be surprised at how affordable it is. This is the overall atmosphere of a casual sushi restaurant. There are many inbound tourists in the restaurant. If you don't like that, you can choose not to go. Those tourists usually don't go to quiet and elegant restaurants, as long as you can afford it, you can go to a nice and quiet place. Personally, I don't go to those elegant restaurants often. I prefer this type of casual restaurant for everyday use. I don't come here very often, but if you become a regular, there might be some perks.
