On a holiday in June 2016 (20160703), I had breakfast brought to me from Mos Burger. I ordered the "Avocado Chili Burger" for 450 yen (tax included) with 388kcal. This burger is made with various ingredients to bring out the umami flavor, including red kidney beans, chickpeas, and 8 kinds of spices in a hot chili sauce that adds depth to the spiciness. The sliced avocado adds a smooth taste and aroma, creating a burger with complexity and richness beyond just spiciness. The size is on the smaller side, and the avocado is thinly sliced. The chili sauce is not only spicy but also has a hint of sweetness, and the overall flavor is mellowed by tomatoes. The patty has a nice presence and pairs well with the chili sauce. However, the avocado presence was not very noticeable, and I felt like it would taste the same without it. I also ordered the "Body Smiling Fruits and Vegetables" for 90 yen (tax included) with 45kcal. This vegetable juice, rich in Vitamin A, is made easy to drink with an apple base. It also comes in an orange-colored 125g pack. It has a slight taste of carrots, but the apple base makes it easy to drink. Overall satisfaction for today is 3.4 for the Avocado Chili Burger and 3.4 for the Body Smiling Fruits and Vegetables. Thank you for the meal.
On a holiday in December 2015 (20160123), I had breakfast brought to me from Mos Burger. This was my third time eating at Mos Burger. I was torn between the Mos Vegetable Burger Teriyaki and the Chicken Burger, but I ended up choosing the "Mos Cheese Burger" for 400 yen (tax included) with 400kcal. This burger is the signature Mos Burger with a juicy patty and special meat sauce, but with added cheese for a mellow flavor. It consists of buns, tomato, meat sauce, onion, mayonnaise, cheese, hamburger patty, American mustard, and buns. The tomato is thick, and the meat doesn't feel dry. The meat sauce reminded me of something I had in elementary school, and it leaned towards being not my favorite rather than nostalgic. I didn't taste much of the cheese, as the meat sauce was overpowering. I took it to go and ended up reheating it in the microwave, which may have diminished the taste. I only ate about half of it. I also ordered the "Onipote (French Fry Potato & Onion Fry)" for 240 yen (tax included) with 205kcal. This includes crispy French fry potatoes and sweet onion fries. The French fries are slightly thick, with a hint of salt that allows the potato flavor to come through. I'm used to thinner fries, so I prefer them that way. There were only two onion fries, which were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, with a slight sweetness. Although this meal wasn't to my liking, I would like to try something else next time. Overall satisfaction for today is 2 for the Mos Cheese Burger and 1 for the Onipote. Thank you for the meal.
