In the midst of lingering summer heat, I found myself drawn into a restaurant near Temmabashi Station on the Keihan Railway. I couldn't resist the urge to have a beer, so I ordered a set with Asahi Super Dry and a variety of side dishes for 1200 yen including tax. The sides included pickled vegetables, spicy chicken, 4 dumplings, and sweet and sour pork. Since everything was served in small portions, it was perfect for those who want to try different dishes. Personally, I think it would be even better if they added two more side dishes for an additional 1200 yen, or reduced the price to 1000 yen for the current set. It's the fate of us Kansai locals.

I felt like eating Chinese food and decided to come to this restaurant. It is conveniently located near the Keihan train station. The zha cai (pickled mustard plant stem) here is really delicious. As for the mapo tofu, compared to other restaurants, it may lack a bit in authenticity, but I personally prefer this one. It's all a matter of taste in the end.

Lunch on this day was at the Chinese restaurant "Chukasa Choyo-kaku Panante Temmabashi Store" in Temmabashi. I had the "Reimen Set," which includes cold noodles (hiyashi chuka) with a mini fried rice (or mini Tianjin rice). By the way, in Osaka, cold noodles are called "reimen." In my hometown of Iwate, we call it "reifun men." Another thing, this place, Choyo-kaku, is a Chinese restaurant operated by Asahi Food Create, a subsidiary of Asahi Breweries. Asahi Food Create is said to be selling off its business and closing down within this fiscal year, as Asahi Breweries is withdrawing from the restaurant business, according to an article I found. I wonder what will happen to this place. Now, about the "Reimen Set" at Choyo-kaku, the cold noodles had thin Chinese noodles with a smooth and typical texture for cold noodles. On top of the noodles were lettuce, shredded cucumbers, shredded ham, shredded omelet, and diced tomatoes. The sauce was a sweet vinegar sauce with sesame seeds. It was a comforting cold noodle dish. This ordinary cold noodle dish was delicious! Even though it was a Chinese restaurant that felt like a family restaurant in a commercial facility above the station, I wasn't expecting much, but it turned out to be quite nice. The Reimen Set was so delicious!

I ordered the "Sweet and Sour Pork Set (¥980 tax included)" and a "Bottle of Maruef Medium Beer (¥650 tax included)". Overall, the portions were small and looked a bit sad. They offer a takeout coffee service, but it's a shame that you can't drink it inside the restaurant. Well, it's a highly competitive area for salarymen, so I guess it can't be helped.

Had dinner at Asahi Kyoku, a Chinese liquor store in Temmabashi Station Building. Ordered the Eight Treasures Set for ¥1180 and a Mini Fried Rice for ¥100. Also got the Sweet and Sour Pork Set for ¥1100 and a Mini Tianjin Rice for ¥100. Opted for the Tianjin Rice Set for ¥880. It's great that you can switch to a Mini Fried Rice or Mini Tianjin Rice for an additional ¥100. The food was delicious, filling, and reasonably priced. The staff was polite and the atmosphere was cozy.

I searched for a Sichuan cuisine restaurant but it was closed, so I found a Chinese chain restaurant in Panante Keihan Temmabashi. It was quite crowded at lunchtime. I ordered the red Dan Dan noodles with fried rice set. The fried rice was decent. The Dan Dan noodles were not very spicy, but still enjoyable. I broke a sweat while eating, but it was delicious. I would like to visit again if I have the chance.

The fried rice is traditional and tasty, although the portion is a bit small. Other reviews mention that the Dan Dan noodles are delicious, so I might try that next time. Today I went to Temmabashi in Osaka. It's a great location right next to the Keihan Railway Temmabashi Station. I had the White Sesame Tan Tan Men set for 980 yen. The flavor of the white sesame was really good and it was delicious. You can choose between fried rice or Tianjin rice for the set. I love eggs so I chose Tianjin rice. It was a bit on the bland side.

Located directly connected to Temmabashi Station, Pannante Keihan Temmabashi is very convenient and handy. Last December, I visited after shopping and was intrigued by the display of sesame-rich tantanmen. I ordered the "White Sesame Tantanmen Set" for 920 yen and the "Grilled Gyoza" for 300 yen. The dish was full of sesame flavor, with the soup coating the noodles deliciously and the noodles having a nice firmness. The gyoza was light and made me want to eat more. I also noticed other tantanmen options like the spicy mapo tantanmen, which I might try next time. The staff were kind and attentive, making me feel warm and satisfied. Thank you for the meal.

When I asked about the weekly lunch special, I was told it was Kata Yakisoba, so I ordered that. It came with deep-fried dumplings and egg soup, and it was a generous portion. The Kata Yakisoba had a lot of vegetables in the sauce, and it was delicious. It was a good deal for 1000 yen with change left over. Bon appétit!

I was feeling a bit hungry but wanted something light, so I decided to have some hiyashi chuka here after a long time. I also felt like having some fried rice, so I ordered a set. The hiyashi chuka had that refreshing taste typical of hiyashi chuka, and the fried rice had that satisfying flavor of fried rice. Osaka Tenmabashi Choyokaku Chinese Restaurant @choyokaku_tenmabashi. Despite the initial impression, the lunch at Tenmabashi area offers good value for money. Today, while wandering around the Tenmabashi area, I found a great spot! I visited during lunchtime and ordered the Mapo Tofu set. The price was only 920 yen, which is very cheap! Great value for money! It was delicious and the portion was satisfying. The rice is free for seconds and you can have a large portion for free. The staff were kind and friendly. There are various set menus available, and I was contemplating whether to have tantanmen in front of the shop. Mapo Tofu is really delicious, isn't it? Credit cards are accepted. There is a restaurant located near Keihan Temmabashi Station with several dining options. The place was almost full when I entered, but there was a two-person table available. I ordered a bottle of beer, gyoza, and my favorite dish, eight treasure vegetables, but they were out of it so I got shredded pork with green peppers instead. The shredded pork with green peppers was ready quickly and had a strong, slightly salty flavor. The portion size was quite generous. The gyoza was decent. It was mid-afternoon, but I was able to leisurely enjoy my beer as I was quite thirsty.

Atmosphere... Inside the station building, it's not very spacious but it's calm. Cost performance... ★★★★★ (Excellent) - Dan Dan Noodles and Tianjin Fried Rice Set (¥950): I thought it would be average, but it was actually quite rich and delicious. I could really taste the flavor of white sesame, which I personally like in Dan Dan noodles. The fact that you can get this set at this price is great in terms of cost performance.
