I stopped in front of the deli showcase of the RF1 series and the staff immediately started explaining the products. They had side dishes, bento boxes, and hot pots. I was looking for a bento box, but there were only three options, I wish there were more choices for a more enjoyable selection experience. I ended up choosing the Tax-Excluded Brown Rice Roll and Colorful Vegetable Bento for 830 yen. It was a bit on the expensive side for my budget for a bento box, and I was unsure if it would be filling. When I opened the lid, the vegetables were beautifully arranged and there was no excessive moisture. Instead of dressing, they sprinkled bonito flakes on the leafy greens and marinated carrots were topped on the greens. The side dishes included pumpkin stew, rolled omelette, simmered hijiki seaweed, and tsukune meatballs. The tsukune had a light flavor but was quite substantial in size. The brown rice rolls contained cucumber and chicken mayo filling, which was labor-intensive but had good staying power. Initially, I was unsure if it would be enough, but after finishing everything, I felt quite satisfied. Each side dish was carefully made. They didn't provide wet towels, but they gave chopsticks and a cold pack. I liked the side dishes so much that I might consider purchasing them separately next time.

When I visited Abeno, I stopped by this place on my way back. They seem to be associated with the brand "Nihon no Sarada" as they sell various side dishes. I bought the "Vegetables and Tofu Soup with Soy Milk White Miso" and the "Yuba and Green Vegetable Mushroom An". - The Yuba and Green Vegetable Mushroom An has a great combination of the chewy texture of yuba, the crunchiness of vegetables, and the smoothness of the an sauce. - The Vegetables and Tofu Soup with Soy Milk White Miso has plenty of leeks and Chinese cabbage, which is nice, but it tastes a bit bland. It lacks the richness of soy milk and the flavor of white miso. Both are vegetable-rich side dishes meant to be heated before eating. I wonder what other side dishes they have next time I visit.

Located in the Wing Building BF1 of Abeno Harukas Kintetsu Main Store. A store from the Rock Field chain that started with Kobe croquettes. They offer a variety of salads, main dishes, and Japanese side dishes. I have lost count of how many times I have purchased from here, but this is my first review. The Christmas version items are overflowing. From those, I chose the following: Christmas Appetizer Plate for 1620 yen. It includes roast beef, quiche, cherry tomatoes, olives, shrimp, smoked salmon, potato salad, cold pork, shrimp and salmon roe watercress salad, and more. It is served with a ponzu mayonnaise sauce, making it a delightful mix. The taste is impeccable, but the price is also quite high.

I didn't know any salad bar except for R.F.1, so I tried buying at the salad bar in the basement of Kintetsu Department Store Abeno for the first time. It had a Japanese feel with a focus on Japanese-style salads made with domestic ingredients, so I felt safe buying them. I bought the Hokkaido scallop salad, which was made with domestic dressing, so it was healthy too. I think there are more Western-style options in the deli section of department stores, so this was a refreshing change.

Chibitsunu, today I went shopping at Abeno Harukas and bought some delicious food from the grocery store underground. It's a bento box from the Japanese food shop "Itohan". Chibitsunu: "Thank you, Tsunukko-chan!" The Genmai roll and Tsukune with colorful vegetables bento costs 896 yen. As the name suggests, it looks appetizing and healthy. Each dish is made with care. Especially the Genmai roll is intricate, filled with chicken, glass noodles, carrots, burdock rolled with seaweed and brown rice, sprinkled with sesame seeds. It's really delicious. The simmered dish has a rich broth and perfect seasoning. Chibitsunu: "Hamburger! Hamburger!" It's not a hamburger, it's chicken Tsukune. The chicken Tsukune has finely chopped vegetables inside and is delicious. When it comes to bento boxes, there are often fried and oily foods. But the bento boxes from the Japanese food shop seem to have reduced calories and look good for the body. It's quite difficult to prepare such a variety of Japanese dishes at home, so I will definitely use their services again!

Abeno Harukas is bustling with activity. The underground second floor is a food paradise that will make any foodie happy just by walking around and looking at all the options. It's easy to get carried away and want to try everything, so be careful (laughs). Amidst the tempting choices, I ended up choosing a healthy bento box called the "Balanced Rainbow Bento" supervised by a nutritionist. It's good to think about your health once in a while when it comes to meals. As for the taste, it wasn't bad at all. The combination of sticky rice and brown rice provided an interesting texture. While each bite was delicious, I still prefer the familiar taste of white rice. The side dishes were all subtly sweetened, and although there was a variety of options, I particularly enjoyed the tsukune-like dish.

A friend invited me to go to Osaka Oktoberfest, so we met at Abeno Bridge. As we were about to head to the JR side through the underground, I stopped my friend from buying snacks at Harukas. My friend was puzzled and asked if we could bring in outside food. I explained that since we were going to eat at Tennoji Park, it was fine to bring in our own food. We walked around the newly refreshed food section and bought salads from Itohan, croquettes from Kobe Croquette, and then headed to the park. We found a nice spot, and I went to buy beer while my friend saved our seats. We opened the snacks we bought and started with the eggplant salad, which had a perfect balance of acidity in the dressing. The avocado salad was also delicious with its creamy avocado and refreshing acidity. I regretted not buying more as I enjoyed the salads with beer.

In Kintetsu Department Store Abeno Main Store, I often use the takeout service at this restaurant, which is located next to RF1. I sometimes wander around trying to decide between going for a Western or Japanese meal. Although I can't remember the specific names of the dishes, I really enjoy a salad with grilled yam. They also offer a variety of bento boxes priced around 1000 yen, which are nicely arranged in-store. The Special Sukiyaki Bento (950 yen) is a year-round item that I think is worth trying, as the meat is well-seasoned and very delicious.

Located on B2F of the Wing Building of Abeno Harukas Kintetsu Main Store, this deli shop is located right after entering Harukas from the East Concourse of the Kintetsu Line, on the right side of the flower shop entrance, just in front of the wine section. This shop, located in the same block as RF1, is also a brand that mainly offers Japanese deli dishes. They have a variety of healthy bento boxes priced around 1,000 yen. This time, I visited the shop before my late work shift for a late-night meal. I chose the "Fermented Food Healthy Body Nishikyo-yaki Bento" (972 yen). I will be eating it at my office desk. The bento is divided into three parts: steamed chicken and minced root vegetables with sweet and sour sauce on the right side, rolled red rice and Nishikyo-yaki on the left side, and tamagoyaki (Japanese rolled omelette) and pickles in the center. The color scheme is also well thought out. The red rice, rolled in inariage (fried tofu skin), has a slightly sweet taste. The fish in the Nishikyo-yaki is likely flounder, although there is no specific indication. The overall content seems gentle on the body, with relatively low calories. The side dishes are all carefully prepared, but the seasoning is strong, making the salt content slightly noticeable. Nevertheless, the diverse selection of items near the Kintetsu ticket gate is appreciated. I plan to use this shop regularly in the future.
