Located on the 10th floor of Daimaru Shinsaibashi, this restaurant is popular among foreigners and may require a reservation to get in. However, my family of three was able to visit on a weekday evening without a reservation. We opted for a la carte menu, but they also offer courses. We ordered about 5 dishes, which were automatically divided into three portions for us. Starting with a teppanyaki salad, we enjoyed dishes like beef tongue, mixed modan, salt yakisoba, and sobameshi. Everything was delicious, especially the refined salt yakisoba and the more rustic sobameshi with egg. We had a total of 4 drinks, and the bill came to 12,000 yen. Those with a bigger appetite may want more volume, but we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Thank you for the wonderful dining experience!

The inside of the store was clean and beautiful! The staff were very friendly. We ordered various dishes a la carte, but the standout was the Snow White pancake-like okonomiyaki! You must try this dish! The performance of making it snow was also lovely. All dishes were cooked right in front of us, which was fun! Everything was hot and fresh! There were counter seats and private rooms available, but I think you need a reservation. The store is small, so it might be difficult to get in without a reservation! We were able to pay with a credit card. We will definitely come back again! Looking forward to the next visit!

I went to "President Senbou" for the first time while living in Osaka. It has a calm atmosphere where you can enjoy okonomiyaki. The soup, appetizers, and fish dishes were all delicious. The yakisoba noodles were excellent, and I definitely want to come back again.

Hiroshima has famous okonomiyaki restaurants that offer high-quality food, but they still can't compare to President Chibo. President Chibo is the only place that can elevate the popular dish of okonomiyaki to a gourmet level. Not only the okonomiyaki itself is delicious, but also the other dishes are tasty, and the skillful hands of the chefs are evident. The okonomiyaki here carries the nostalgic taste of Osaka, but with a touch of sophistication. Delicious!

I have visited President Senbo a few times, but I was pleasantly surprised to find out that they serve the mud flat pancake dish that was suggested (named?) by Tsurubei. Today, I mustered up the courage to ask and it was worth it. I am a bit timid, so I was afraid of being told "no" when I asked. The filling of the mud flat pancake is apparently a mix of ingredients, but it was delicious as expected. In addition, I also enjoyed the grilled potato salad, grilled octopus, scallops and scallop roe, shrimp bread, grilled Kachokabaro cheese, and the usual Snow White dish.

Daimaru Shinsaibashi "Prelude Chifusa" is a high-class okonomiyaki restaurant located on the 10th floor of Daimaru Shinsaibashi. This restaurant is part of a large okonomiyaki group with about 70 locations worldwide, and it is one of the five locations in Osaka. The upscale interior of the restaurant gives off a luxurious vibe, and it is more like a teppanyaki restaurant than a typical okonomiyaki place. All seats are at the counter, where you can watch the chefs cook not only okonomiyaki but also steak on the beautiful silver teppan. I ordered the Deluxe Lunch Course for 4980 yen, which may seem a bit pricey for lunch okonomiyaki, but let's consider it as a teppanyaki course. The course included a salad, a serving of domestic Wagyu sirloin steak (60g) cooked medium rare, along with bean sprouts, yam, and bean sprouts. The steak cooked right in front of you is always a delight. It was cooked perfectly with a nice sear. It was served with salt koji soy sauce, wasabi, grated ponzu, and garlic. The okonomiyaki (with squid and Miyazaki black pork belly) was small in size and made with attention to quality ingredients. The texture was like a pancake, and the finely chopped cabbage did not overpower the fluffy batter. The traditional "four flips" technique of Chifusa resulted in a fluffy egg-based batter. The squid added a nice chewy texture, and the dashi flavor was well-balanced. The dessert of yuzu sherbet was a comforting end to the meal. I left the restaurant feeling satisfied and full.

On my day off, I treated myself to a visit to President Senbo, where I enjoyed dishes such as red snapper carpaccio, baked potato salad, beef tongue grill, "Shirayukihime" (okonomiyaki), and yakisoba. The red snapper carpaccio had truffle salt, but the aroma was a bit weak. The baked potato salad was consistently delicious. The beef tongue grill had some tough parts that were disappointing. The "Shirayukihime" was also consistently tasty, but the portions were quite large. The yakisoba was good, but I wish they would add a little pickled ginger. Overall, the food was enjoyable, but I would prefer a slightly stronger highball.

On the 10th floor of Daimaru in Shinsaibashi, we visited "Prelude Chibou" with a last-minute reservation about an hour before closing. They served the course at our pace, allowing us to enjoy a relaxed meal. We ordered the "Rei Course" which included salmon and asparagus jelly, seasonal vegetable teppanyaki, cherry sea bream with two spring sauces, grilled live abalone, domestic black wagyu sirloin & filet steak, okonomiyaki & yakisoba, and dessert. Since there were two of us, we ordered both steaks and okonomiyaki/yakisoba, and they divided them onto separate plates for us. Every dish was delicious and we were very satisfied. Although they went slightly over their closing time by about 10 minutes, the staff maintained a lovely attitude and provided excellent service until the end.

On the 10th floor of Daimaru in Shinsaibashi, we visited "Prelude Sengen" without a reservation about an hour before closing. Celebrating entering high school by going shopping together in Shinsaibashi. Found what we wanted at Shinsaibashi Daimaru, then had lunch. He's always been a big fan of yakisoba and udon. Since he had been to Imai in Shinsaibashi Daimaru before, we decided to go there. We were guided to a private room with a teppanyaki counter that was shaped like a half circle. Looking at the menu, there was yakisoba, yakisoba, and more yakisoba. When asked, we were told that this is how they name the dishes at President Senbo. The menu included black pork yakisoba for 1600 yen, garlic rice, and pomonju for 1800 yen. The garlic rice was a favorite of my nephew. The pomonju included black pork, small shrimp, squid, and noodles wrapped in thin dough, with a little space inside and more dough poured over it. No cabbage? Like okonomiyaki? The black pork and leek yakisoba for 1800 yen was delicious, with black pork and konjac included. It was a wonderful experience to have the food cooked in front of us in such a lovely setting.

I enjoyed the special year-end and New Year course (12,000 yen) as a study break. The appetizer was served quickly while the chef started grilling salmon in front of us and the scallops were prepared in a soup. The abalone was impressive, steamed and served simply yet elegantly. The texture was amazing. My companion was amazed, saying they had never eaten anything like it before. After a palate cleanser of sorbet, we had steak, cooked to our liking. And then the main dish, okonomiyaki. Of course, it was from Senbo. I was a bit worried if I could eat it while it was being cooked, but the size and the softness of the sauce and ingredients made it easy to finish in one go. It was a delicious meal that felt fitting for a gathering of presidents. The only downside was that at the counter, the conversations of the people next to us were quite distracting. It might be better to view this place as a place to fully enjoy the food rather than engage in conversations. Also, the prices of the drinks made me do a double-take.

I usually order a la carte, but this time I tried the limited-time course for the New Year's period. It had a lot of dishes, each one meticulously prepared, so I think it was a good deal. The course included a mouthful on lotus root, a warm vegetable salad made Mont Blanc-style with nagaimo, a fish dish, turnip soup, sautéed abalone, beef steak, and more. And of course, since it's an "okonomiyaki restaurant," we finished with okonomiyaki. Dessert was two types of ice cream. It was a satisfying course in terms of both quantity and quality.

In the midst of the state of emergency, even though alcohol service is suspended, I couldn't resist visiting Chifusa after a long time. I ordered a la carte, and while the appetizers and steaks were mostly delicious, the dish I was most looking forward to, the Snow White, was a bit disappointing in appearance. To be a bit critical... the young chef still has room for improvement. The size and presentation of the meringue balls were a bit off, and the sauce drizzle at the end was a bit sloppy.

This time, it was unusual to go with just one other person. My companion ordered the Subaru lunch course at Tonpei, while I chose the Sai lunch course. Basically, the difference is in the type of pork or fish used, but the okonomiyaki is the same. However, the person cooking asked if they could cook a larger one and a smaller one separately and then divide them. I thought they should have asked before cooking, but I didn't want them to split it oddly, so I had the larger one and my companion had the smaller one. In the end, it turned out to be a good choice, but it was strange in terms of service. The okonomiyaki ingredients were finely chopped and the batter was formed nicely, making it delicious. The pork being chopped for Tonpei seemed different somehow. The Sai lunch course included today's salad, seasonal grilled fish (flounder), okonomiyaki (Miyazaki black pork belly and firefly squid), and today's dessert.

In Shinsaibashi, at [Chuo-ku Shinsaibashi-suji 1-chome], on the 10th floor of Daimaru Shinsaibashi store, we had a late lunch on the 9th day of the summer holiday (last day) with my family. We arrived at 13:30 and there were 2 groups of 4 people already seated at the counter. We started with YEBISU beer. We ordered the Color Lunch Course (3250 yen), which included salad, special shrimp mayo, okonomiyaki, and dessert, as well as the Kurobuta negiyaki (1760 yen) and Kurobuta tonpei yaki (880 yen). We also had Hakkaisan sake and Sato Kuro. The young waitress cooked the dishes carefully, although she seemed a bit inexperienced at flipping the okonomiyaki. The shrimp mayo in the course came with 2 shrimp, which was great. It was a happy feeling to be able to drink during the day again today. Thank you for the delicious meal.

When I went shopping at Daimaru Shinsaibashi, I decided to have lunch at a restaurant called President Senbou on the 10th floor of Daimaru Shinsaibashi Main Building. As I entered the restaurant, I was guided to a comfortable counter seat where I could relax. The interior was beautiful, and they made sure not to use the two seats in the middle of the counter to maintain some distance. They offered three lunch courses which included the daily salad, a grilled dish, okonomiyaki, and the dessert of the day. I chose the "Iroha" lunch course. The grilled dish was a seasonal fish teppanyaki. The salad with crispy vegetables and Caesar dressing was delicious. While enjoying the salad, I could see the chef carefully preparing the next dish. The teppanyaki with seasonal fish (sea bream) and bamboo shoots was delightful. The tonpeiyaki, a famous Osaka dish, was filled with finely chopped pork. The okonomiyaki with black pork belly and squid was fluffy and tasty. The meal ended with a dessert of cheesecake and strawberries. There was also a chocolate cake available for dessert. Overall, I had a fulfilling and enjoyable lunch experience. I look forward to coming back for dinner with drinks next time.

Located inside Daimaru Shinsaibashi, this restaurant offers both okonomiyaki and teppanyaki dishes. It is one of the few places where you can treat your guests to Osaka's famous okonomiyaki. This time, we enjoyed luxurious ingredients such as abalone, foie gras, and meat before indulging in the fluffy okonomiyaki. It was delicious! The atmosphere was relaxing, the service was great, and I definitely want to go back!

I visited the newly relocated and renovated Pledge and Senbou Daimaru Shinsaibashi store on the 10th floor of Daimaru Shinsaibashi Main Building on September 20, 2019. I often go to Senbou, but it was my first time at Pledge! Senbou has a total of 74 stores nationwide, with 61 basic "Senbou" stores, 7 high-class "Pledge and Senbou" stores, and 3 elegant "Senbou ELEGANCE" stores. The luxurious interior exudes a sense of sophistication, with spacious counter seats and 2 private rooms for 4 people each, totaling 34 seats. The private rooms are L-shaped private counters surrounding the teppanyaki grill, making it easy to converse with 4 people and enjoy teppanyaki in front of the chef. "Pledge and Senbou" offers a variety of dishes including okonomiyaki, seasonal appetizers, teppanyaki, and steak in course meals and a la carte dishes. I opted for the Reiko Course for 7,980 yen (excluding tax) and added Garlic Rice (850 yen), Foie Gras Sauteed with Red Wine Caramelized Sauce (2,100 yen), and all-you-can-drink (2,000 yen). I started with a draft beer. The appetizer consisted of spicy simmered eggplant and komatsuna, followed by a seasonal vegetable peporonata with scallop marinated in mascarpone sauce. The teppanyaki included sweet potatoes, makomo, and shiraishi lotus roots seasoned with Awaji seaweed salt. Next was a sautéed Norwegian salmon with XO sauce. The meal continued with live abalone and Hungarian foie gras sautéed with red wine caramelized sauce. The highlight was the Japanese black beef loin steak, which was incredibly tender and flavorful. The meal ended with a choice between okonomiyaki or yakisoba, and garlic rice, followed by a milk crepe and grape ice cream dessert. It was a truly luxurious dining experience. The Reiko Course is available for lunch as well, and there are also a la carte options and affordable lunch courses starting from 1,680 yen.
