Yesterday (8/3), I went on a food expedition to Kamishiochome Station on the Osaka Metro Nagahori Tsurumi Ryokuchi Line. After eating one bowl at a new restaurant just a few minutes walk from the station, I visited this restaurant near the station for a second meal. I had imagined that this restaurant would serve ramen similar to the "Wasshoi Group," based on the name, but it turned out to be a Jiro-style ramen shop. I bought a ticket for the "Jukuncho Ramen Tonkotsu Shoyu (860 yen)" at the ticket machine, sat at the counter seat, and ordered with a slightly reduced portion size for noodles and vegetables due to having eaten earlier. The bowl arrived quickly, looking quite appetizing with its Jiro-style appearance. Thick noodles peeked out from the murky broth, topped with bean sprouts, cabbage, garlic, and a generous amount of fatty chashu. I tried the rich Jiro-style tonkotsu soup with a spoon and found it very delicious. The noodles were best enjoyed with a firm texture, the bean sprouts were crunchy and tasty, and the chashu with its melty fatty parts was irresistible. Despite having eaten a meal earlier, I ate eagerly and managed to finish all the solid components while leaving a bit of soup behind. It was truly a delicious bowl with the taste of Jiro-style ramen.

It was great to be able to enjoy this amount at an affordable price. I had been curious since it was near my workplace, so I purchased a recommended item with a food ticket. I was able to choose the amount of garlic, vegetables, and back fat to my liking, so I ordered extra of everything. Other than being attacked by the smell of garlic in my mask on the way home, it was good!笑

"Jukucho Ramen" for 860 yen with extra 300g of vegetables and normal amount of lard and garlic. The soup is a strong Jiro-style tonkotsu shoyu with garlic, making it even more flavorful. The noodles are thick, chewy, and flat, cooked al dente. Toppings include chashu, cabbage, bean sprouts, garlic, and lard. It's been a while since I've had Jiro-style ramen, and this one with its strong garlic tonkotsu shoyu soup and thick chewy noodles is delicious. There's plenty of bean sprouts and cabbage too! The only downside is that the chopsticks are plastic and slippery, making it difficult to pick up the noodles. I wish they would improve on that. Overall, the garlic flavor in my mouth was amazing. Thank you for the meal!

I ordered ramen for 860 yen. The noodle portion was 200g. I requested extra vegetables, garlic, and oil, and I was pleased to see that everything was indeed extra. The garlic was finely chopped and not too spicy, making it easy to eat. The chashu was tender and thinly sliced, also easy to eat. The broth was simple yet delicious, making it easy to finish. The thick noodles added to the overall appeal of the dish. Among the inspired chain restaurants, this one is the most delicious.

Jukuchou Ramen, Tonkotsu Shoyu, 860 yen
I've been curious about this place in front of Otokojuku and finally visited for the first time. It's a Jiro-style ramen, which I haven't had in a while. I ordered normal vegetables, extra back fat, and normal garlic. It's a solid and delicious Jiro-style ramen. I would have been happier if the chashu was more tender. My craving for Jiro-style ramen has been satisfied. It's nice that they have a variety of options to choose from. The fried chicken also looked delicious!

Located right near Kumosancho Station. Today, I had lunch here. First, I bought a meal ticket at the ticket machine right after entering. I sat at a random counter seat. When I handed over the meal ticket, I was asked about toppings: Noodle portion: small, Vegetables: extra, Pork fat: normal, Garlic: extra. Let's dig in! The visual presentation is of a bowl with extra vegetables. However, it doesn't look like the 600g mentioned on the menu. The soup is a pork bone soy sauce flavor, less greasy compared to other Jiro-style shops. The soup is drinkable. Personally, I tend to get tired if there's too much noodles, so a small portion with extra vegetables might be just right. Also, even though the pork fat is normal, there's 40g of it, so it might be safer to go for a little less. So, thank you for the meal! The staff is energetic and nice, but it was a bit distracting that they were talking continuously when not cooking.

I was so hungry that I challenged the Jukucho Ramen Curry with soup, 200g of vegetables, extra fat, and less garlic! Thankfully, the option of less garlic was already on the menu, so I could order without hesitation. The atmosphere of the restaurant was not like the intimidating style of Jiro ramen shops, instead, you could order in a whisper to the waitress, making it very friendly for Jiro ramen beginners. The soup was curry-flavored. Garlic is definitely necessary! It changes the richness of the soup! The slight sweetness of the curry, spiciness, and richness all blend together beautifully in the soup. The chashu (roast pork) was thick and satisfying to eat! Is it okay to say this is inspired by Jiro ramen? After being disappointed at another shop last time, I went in this time on a very empty stomach. Yes, this amount is good for me. But to cancel out the guilt, maybe it would be better to have 300g of vegetables... Even so, enjoying the deliciousness of Jiro-style ramen at the 8th stomach level, ordering "200g of vegetables, extra fat, less garlic" seems like it might become the golden order (for me). If you're not a fan of Jiro ramen, don't be shy and give it a try! Next time, I'll try the Jukucho Shio (salt) ramen! Grazzie Mille!

Osu! This is Gogatsu-yama Park! Today, I had work in Kamon 4-chome! After finishing my work, I felt hungry and wanted to eat ramen! So, I decided to join the Men's Academy! I entered around 1:20 PM and purchased a meal ticket at the ticket machine near the entrance. While they have the Men's Academy Ramen, I decided to show respect to the headmaster Hirahachi by ordering the Headmaster Ramen, which is a pork bone soy sauce ramen! The restaurant was almost full, with families and some sturdy male students enjoying their ramen. A male staff member showed me to my seat and informed me about the free toppings available. I ordered with extra soup, extra vegetables, extra pork fat, and garlic! After about 30 minutes of waiting and mentally preparing myself with the Men's Academy's famous oil bath, my ramen finally arrived! The Headmaster Ramen with extra vegetables, extra pork fat, and garlic! The wait and the mental training really paid off! I started with the vegetables, which were mostly bean sprouts with a bit of cabbage, slightly overcooked. The pork fat served as a dressing and added a nice flavor! Then I moved on to the soup, which had a wild taste, a clear pork bone soy sauce broth that was a bit challenging for me. Next, the noodles were thick wavy noodles with a slightly chewy texture, a bit too soft for my liking. Lastly, the chashu was slightly larger than usual with a normal thickness. It seemed a bit different from the menu photo, but the taste was as expected! I finished the ramen and successfully completed my Men's Academy experience! Thank you for the meal!

I visited a ramen shop because I wanted to eat ramen for lunch! I don't usually go to Jiro-style ramen shops, but this one had a huge portion. This time, I ordered tonkotsu shoyu soup, 200 grams of noodles, vegetables, back fat, and extra garlic. I managed to finish it all with serious eating! The noodles were delicious too.

A solid Jiro-style ramen shop. You can add extra vegetables and garlic, and the extra vegetables option comes with a mountain of crispy bean sprouts, which is really nice. Dip the bean sprouts in the soup until they soften, then they're ready to eat. The bean sprouts are sourced from famous water springs, and sometimes you just have to ask for extra due to how good they are. The noodles are thick and chewy, which some people may not like, but I personally enjoy how well they soak up the soup. It's similar to Jiro-style ramen in Osaka, but I think this place is the best in terms of cost, taste, and overall atmosphere.

This is a highly recommended restaurant for those who want to try Jiro-style ramen but are unsure of the rules and feel intimidated. It operates on a ticket system where you purchase your meal ticket and take a seat. The menu clearly indicates options for garlic, vegetables, and oil, as well as the amount of noodles for different levels of firmness. The staff also come to your table to ask about your preferences for noodle firmness, garlic, and vegetables, making ordering easy. The taste is delicious and truly captures the essence of Jiro-style ramen. There are also options for miso-based, tonkotsu-based, and salt-based broths, providing variety for each visit. They also offer brothless ramen, which is worth trying. This is my favorite Jiro-style ramen shop.

* Jukucho Ramen - Shoyu Tonkotsu ¥790
This is a mild Jiro-style ramen shop that is easy for first-timers to enter. Jiro-style shops tend to demand "lining up, eating quickly, leaving quickly," but this shop has table seats and plenty of space, so you can relax without feeling pressured to leave. The taste is satisfying, but the only concern was the chashu. It is small and thin, so I recommend choosing the maximum of 3 pieces. And of course, the price remains the same.

I had lunch at "Ramen Otokojuku!! Gamou 4-chome branch" located very close to Gamou 4-chome Station. I noticed a sign outside the shop mentioning a "single serving size (normal size)", so I decided to go in. Inside, there was a ticket vending machine and hand sanitizer available. The staff asked if I wanted garlic in my ramen, but I declined. The Niku Shoyu Ramen came with toppings such as pork belly, grated daikon radish, onions, and green onions. The thin straight noodles had a crunchy texture and were served in a pork bone-based soy sauce broth with a good amount of oil. It had a slightly spicy kick and a hint of sweetness, making it quite delicious. The seasoning was unexpectedly light, making it easy to eat. Since you could get an extra serving of noodles for free, I ordered more with firm noodles, which turned out to be quite a filling portion. The menu mainly consists of hearty and substantial dishes. There were condiments on the table such as pepper, shichimi pepper, sesame seeds, ramen soy sauce, chili oil, and coarse salt. The restaurant had a counter with 10 seats (7 seats + 3 seats) and 4 tables (2 tables for 3 people and 2 tables for 4 people), and was managed by 2 staff members. It was past 1 PM and I was dining alone, but due to its convenient location, a few minutes later more customers started to trickle in.

Jukcho Ramen Miso Soupless: I felt like having Jiro-style ramen, so I visited this place. It turned out better than I expected, with a good balance and no overwhelming flavors. Some people might find it lacking in richness, but personally, I think it's good as it is. I regretted adding garlic the next morning. Next time, I'll try the salt flavor without soup. Thank you for the meal!

I was attracted by the name of the restaurant and decided to go in. I ordered the Hakata Tonkotsu Ramen with an extra slice of chashu. When I sat down, they asked me about the amount of bean sprouts, green onions, pork fat, and garlic, as well as the firmness of the noodles. I told them I wanted the noodles to be between ○○ and ○○ in firmness, and they kindly accepted my request. The ramen is of the so-called Jiro-style, but the chashu is delicious. Kamohara Yonchome is a competitive area for ramen, but this place is on par with the others. They offer a free extra serving of noodles, so I ordered another bowl with a different firmness. The service is good, and I recommend this ramen shop to students and those who want a hearty meal.

I've become a regular here now ^_^ Came with my son today. As usual, my son skipped the meat soy sauce ramen! I ordered the cold tantanmen with 200 grams of noodles, lots of bean sprouts, and regular spicy oil. It takes a bit of time after ordering, which is a bit annoying, so my son and I passed the time playing games. My son noticed that the tantanmen seemed to have less than usual (^◇^;) The taste was just right, not too spicy, and the soup was delicious! But it felt like there was less than the usual ramen, so we were only 80% full (^◇^;) We bought some snacks at the supermarket and ate them afterwards. ^_^

I went to a ramen shop in Fumisanchome. It's always crowded here. I bought a ticket at the entrance, but there were so many options that I couldn't decide. Today I tried the tsukemen! The noodles were cold. Ramen shops are known for being fast, but it took a while. The tsukemen was delicious! I don't like how the noodles get lukewarm quickly, but I still like it. I tried the hot version as well, but I preferred the cold one! The soup had a taste of seafood broth, which was delicious! It would have been perfect if they offered a refill of the soup halfway through. They also served a complimentary bowl of rice at the end, which was also delicious!

I was overwhelmed by the overwhelming menu in front of the visited store at 22:30 on January 26, but I chose the "Jukcho Ramen" which is recommended when you are lost. You can choose the amount of noodles and vegetables, so I chose 150g of noodles (small) and 600g of vegetables (extra extra), with extra pork fat and extra garlic. All of this for 910 yen, which is cheap! I wish the noodles were even smaller, haha. It was delicious! I will definitely come back for more!

Last time I was a bit reserved since it was our first meeting, but today I went all out with my standard "extra extra" toppings on my ramen. As usual, there is a third grader sitting across from me, enjoying a bowl of expensive meat ramen for 950 yen. I prefer the regular toppings, though. I had no problem finishing my ramen with extra toppings. While I can finish the soup if it's good for my body, I've been receiving comments on my New Year's cards and recent Instagram posts like "If you keep eating ramen all the time..." It seems like all people notice are my ramen reviews, which is kind of flattering in a way. It's important to consider your body's needs if you want to continue enjoying delicious food for a long time. But I want to savor the deliciousness of the soup a bit more. That's where the "rice ticket" comes in. The perfect amount of rice that lets you enjoy a little extra without feeling guilty. Rice is a great way to finish off a Jiro-style ramen. Definitely try it out!
