"Kobu Matsuri" relocated from Ootori to Keyaki Street. Kobu Matsuri is a factory direct store of Matsumoto, a kombu processing manufacturer founded in Sakai City. They have a factory in Hakodate, Hokkaido, where they produce tororo kombu, tsukudani, salted kombu, and kombu rolls. They are open from Monday to Friday and closed on weekends and holidays. Their business hours are from 10:00 to 17:30. It's not easy to visit during full-time working hours, but I finally made it! I bought yamakobu, murasame kombu, and kombu rolls. They also have a variety of gift items that would make great souvenirs. The yamakobu has a subtle hint of sansho pepper and a rich kombu flavor. It pairs perfectly with freshly cooked rice. It was a delicious meal!"
