I visited this place for the first time at the request of a friend who came to play from out of town. The location is near the so-called "hook bridge," on the 6th floor of a building with apparel stores like H&M below. The place is called "Tajimaya," and although I initially thought it was related to the famous Tajimaya meat brand, the quality of the meat didn't seem to match. It was a Sunday around 7 pm, and luckily, there were no other customers waiting when we arrived. I had made a reservation online for the "Kobe beef sukiyaki all-you-can-eat" course, which was a special offer. We ordered the meat at our table, and for rice, vegetables, and drinks, we could help ourselves. There were also side dishes like fried chicken, french fries, and curry, which were quite good. While I was getting vegetables, the meat had already arrived at our table, and we started cooking sukiyaki on the hot plate. In order to start, you have to eat a few slices of meat with the sauce, which is a common practice in Kansai-style sukiyaki. The quality of the meat was better than the cheap frozen meat you often find at all-you-can-eat places, and although it wasn't top-notch Kobe beef, it was decent. We ended up getting 4-5 refills and were full. One thing that caught my attention was the raw egg, which is usually an extra charge at some places, but here it was provided for free, and the staff frequently asked if we needed more. The freshness of the vegetables was also good, and combined with the quick turnover due to the all-you-can-eat concept, I would give high marks for that. One thing I noticed was that when we wanted more meat, there were times when there were no staff in the dining area, so having a call button at the table could be helpful, especially for a time-limited course like this. However, when there were staff around (mostly foreigners), they were proactive in asking if we wanted more meat, so the service level was not bad. There is also a sukiyaki specialty place called "Sukiyaki Maru" nearby, so I might consider coming back here next time I'm in the mood for sukiyaki. Overall, it was a good experience. Bon appétit.
